Lee Cheng Men Posted September 28, 2017 Report Share Posted September 28, 2017 Ancient Gear Fusion / Antīku Gia FyūjonNormal Spell CardLore: Fusion Summon 1 "Ancient Gear" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Materials. If you use an "Ancient Gear Golem" or "Ancient Gear Golem - Ultimate Pound" you control as Fusion Material, you can also use monsters in your Deck as Fusion Material. link = http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Ancient_Gear_Fusion Not bad, especially for Ancient Gears~ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Atypical-Abbie Posted September 28, 2017 Report Share Posted September 28, 2017 Okay, this is something. Being able to just send from the Deck is very powerful, Chaos Ancient Gear Giant for example is hard to get out normally, but without having to worry about using too many resources, that becomes a very powerful choice. Ancient Gear are becoming better and better IMO. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Hallohallo Posted September 28, 2017 Report Share Posted September 28, 2017 This is one amazing Fusion card. It's a bit similar to Red-Eyes Fusion, except this one doesn't have heavy restrictions. IIRC Ancient Gears don't even have good Fusion searchers. They should've made Ultimate Pound as any Poly/Fusion searcher, not just Poly though. EDIT: Oh wait. Wyvern can search this. ~ P O L A R I S ~ Posted September 28, 2017 Report Share Posted September 28, 2017 Note that it has to be an Ancient Gear Golem/Ultimate Pound *you control*. Still awesome, but getting that initial Golem is something your opponent isn't likely to let you do too easily (especially considering that neither can be Special Summoned by Geartown). Dokutah Posted September 28, 2017 Report Share Posted September 28, 2017 yeah the need for Golem and Pound irks me but nonetheless their very own searchable fusion card is nice enough. the send from the deck is is really cute if you can pull it of Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ancient Gear Devil, Ancient Gear Ultimate Golem and Ancient Gear Catapult can tutor out Ancient Gear Golem.Out of these Catapult should matter and already setting up an Ancient Gear Golem for Ultimate to revive is not a terrible thing to do. Eshai Posted September 28, 2017 Report Share Posted September 28, 2017 Whelp. Might have to run Ancient Gears now. Was already tempted before but now the Deck got better. I am a bit sad I STILL CANT SPECIAL SUMMON ANCIENT GEAR GOLEM WITH GEARTOWN. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I knew that had to be a catch, felt a bit too good for its own good. Still, it isn't THAT hard to get one of those out, an extra card is still worth it for what you get, still probably easier than Shaddoll Fusion since you don't have to rely on your opponent. ~Faytl~ Posted September 28, 2017 Report Share Posted September 28, 2017 Still not sure if this is a good enough reason to run Gear Golem. It's actually easier than most people think to assemble the materials for Chaos Giant, between Ancient Gear Box and using Catapult on Fortress or Geartown and grabbing Wyvern to get the search. Even Ancient Gear Rebron and Iron Call are helpful. The only real drawback is that you usually have to also be able to Normal Summon Hunting Hound. Outside of this, the Golems are the clunkiest monsters the deck can have. Lot of effort for not a lot of payoff. At least Reactor Dragon can be Special Summoned and is still a really good card even without being Tribute Summoned, Golem does not have that advantage. (GigaDrillBreaker) Posted September 28, 2017 Report Share Posted September 28, 2017 Damn I wish Toon AGG was treated as AGG. Anyway, this basically turns AGG into that new fusion, which will just win the sheet out of the game. Really seems simple enough. My best guess for how to properly use it would be tributing predaplants (which can search for this) to summon AGG, but ancient gears have an astonishing number of ways to summon it ignoring its conditions so maybe at least one of those is worth it. Is it just me or is spell gear borderline playable? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~~ Posted September 28, 2017 Report Share Posted September 28, 2017 We all know the combo that starts with Geartown and Catapult and ends on Chaos Giant. Well you can start the same, but Summon AGG/Ulti Pound with Catapult and Wyvern with 'town. Wyvern searches this card and then you can have the Chaos Giant, but also have Wyvern left on the field, so this is better. And AGG is no more a dead draw than Box, so it's not like there's anything there either. If you are willing to run more than 1 AGG/Ulti Pound, then you can go for a 2x or even 3x attacking 3300 instead of Chaos Giant. Basically Chaos Giant is better against lotsa monsters, and Megaton is better against an empty board, or Drident-style monsters because of the float. Oh and since you're probably never summoning Ultimate AGG properly, I think Ulti Pound is better than AGG now. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The Nyx Avatar Posted September 30, 2017 Report Share Posted September 30, 2017 Nice! Their own fusion Spell Card! Sure, I guess you could use Polymerization, but you can add this with Wyvern. I guess it may be tricky to have a Golem out and activate this, but it's still a nice touch, especially with the lack of restrictions. Reminded me a little more of Shaddoll Fusion than Red-Eyes Fusion, since it has a condition as to how you can use material(s) (face-up Ancient Gear Golem for this and opponent's monster that was Summoned from the Extra Deck for Shaddoll Fusion) from the Deck, as opposed to restricting you from Summoning anything else. Sure, they've got Hound, but it's still a cool edition nonetheless. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The Highlander Posted October 3, 2017 Report Share Posted October 3, 2017 This card allows for easy first turn FTK. AMAZING.How does this card allow one to FTK ?I do not see how you could FTK at all, given that you could not summon devil 8 times, even with this card.And I do not see how Ancient Gear have the cards to FTK outside of that. This website is weird. You have to leave space or your entire POST DOES NOT SHOW UP. How to FTK: Summon Prisma---> Use prisma effect targeting Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem---> Prisma is now Ancient Gear Golem--> Activate Ancient Gear Fusion --> Send 2 Ancient Gear Golem to grave FROM YOUR DECK---> Summon Megaton Ancient Gear Golem which has 3300 ATK and can attack 3 x. You just got lvl 9 monster out via only using 2 cards and still have 4 cards in hand. With my current build I got 2-3 Ancient Gear fusions first turn Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
With my current build I got 2-3 Ancient Gear fusions first turn To add on to that the Megaton with 3 attacks on a 3300 body then turns into a Ultimate when Megaton dies and then Ultimate turns into a Gear Golemn when it dies so we now go full circle with this. Still this can also bring out Chaos Ancient Gear Giant but sending 3 materials from your deck to the grave if you use Prisma as a AG Golem which is quite effective for deck thinning. Draconus297 Posted October 3, 2017 Report Share Posted October 3, 2017 You guys confuse an OTK (which Ancient Gears have been good at for a while) with an FTK (which only ever gets achieved through burn, mill, or Exodia). An FTK, by definition, cannot involve the Battle Phase, because then it's not the first turn (when your opponent is almost completely powerless to stop you). *flies away* Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
