Card A

  • Wtf it's a Synchro?

  • Ritual Spell is fine, but if you can Special Summon this card so easily then I recommend putting a “Must first be Ritual Summoned” so you can exploit the use of this card.

  • The name is cool. Art is aesthetically pleasing and goes well with the prompt, so nice job.

  • The utility of Normal Summon additionally along with destruction protection is nice.

  • Possible Chaos Shinob Deck is interesting, along with maybe Blue-Eyes as a nice Deck for the card.

Decent Card with some flaws, but nothing game breaking.

Card B

  • The name is surprisingly Spirit monster sounding for some reason, but I guess “Kirin’s Knight” didn’t sound as cool. The card art has just this glory of detail.

  • Draw power and Summon Utilities for Herald of Perfection? With it said that you can Ritual Summon, or Special Summon ignoring its Summoning conditions so that you’d have even more synergy with Herald, but right now the effect is a plus.

  • Weird Ritual Spell, but again Herald of Perfection shenanigans. Some easy protection a similar cost is quite interesting, along with a small ATK buff that’s sure to come in handy.

  • Herald of Perfection synergies, in general, get a plus.

Card B gets my vote. While both seem to synergize with already existing Decks, card B seems more realized, even though the point of Card A might’ve been to be a bit more generic. Although tbh this would’ve been a lot harder to choose if it was just a Ritual Monster from Card A. Really it came down to who did nothing objectively wrong.
