The Nyx Avatar
Not sure if this would be more suitable as a Music thread, but here it is. What is your favorite video game soundtrack? Which game would you say has the most music that you like? Any that enhances the atmosphere of the game you are playing, or is simply pleasing to hear? Mine: [spoiler=Show] I really like the use of piano and strings. It's very pleasant to walk through the game and hear this music. It's very relaxing for the most part. And a few of the ones that aren't like Magus' theme and the track you hear when you race are still amusing to listen to (the latter being more upbeat). ENMaker
FIFA 12. Bioshock Infinite and Fallout 4; the first two Bioshocks are niceu as well but they have far less music though all four of these are more about the songs in the setting and most of it isn't actually original music but SHUT UP!! Firewatch is good too. Overall though I have to say Skyrim. It's just perfect.

Shradow
There are tons of games that have soundtracks I love. Bastion and Transistor, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the Soulsborne series. But my top is probably Asura's Wrath. This is one of the versions of the main theme, as an example: Like, this song alone almost makes it my favorite soundtrack, but it has other wonderful songs as well that put it over the top for me. Flame Dragon
The DKC franchise has an insane OST across all 5 games. David Wise's stuff in particle is insanely good.
The Warden
One of my favourite game OSTs would be Odin Sphere, which I have adored for its stylistic view and music, above all stands this: This song always plays during the most powerfully emotional moments, and, I honestly wish it had played during the final fight of Armageddon when you picked the right choice, though it playing when you made the wrong choices is just as moving really. The Nyx Avatar
Honorable mentions include Super Metroid, Persona 4, and Earthbound (many of these being Super Nintendo games) For Persona 4's, I really like the mix of rock and pop, the tracks are very fitting with the upbeat song Your Affection played on sunny days, Heartbeat, Heartbreak being slower and calmer on cloudy days, the beautiful serenity that is Aria of the Soul in the Velvet Room, and all the various boss themes like I'll Face Myself and The Almighty. Super Metroid's varying boss themes; one that plays with a plant and insect boss, one that seems to play for more intimidating-looking foes like Kraid and Phantoon, and one with Ridley and the alien posing as the Chozo statue. Earthbound's is an odd one. A mix of techno sounds, beeps, 16-bit instruments (horns, trumpets, bass, strings, ect), 8-bit like sounds and effects, ambience, and more. Flame Dragon
Shradow mentioned Xenoblade X, but the original also has a killer OST. Broke posted one of the major emotional piece, this is Xenoblade's. Personally I'm partial to the Snowman theme from Mother 3, but 2's is also a solid song. The Nyx Avatar
Personally I'm partial to the Snowman theme from Mother 3, but 2's is also a solid song.I think all the versions of Snowman sound good. It's one of the few recurring themes in all Mother games, but each one is good in its own way. Mother 3's sounds higher, Earthbound's uses a flute (or something similar), and Super Smash Bros begins with chanting and has drums. In fact, that's another version I like. And likly the first I ever heard. Super Smash Bros. Snowman.

(GigaDrillBreaker)
Transistor. Easily. It perfectly fits the game's aesthetic, had amazing vocals, and conveyed emotion more than any other OST I've heard while playing a game.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
There's far too many. But the one that has an emotional connection to me the most will always be Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete.
