Question about battle face

When a monster is attacking another monster with the effect of changing the attacking monster into defend mode. Would the attacked monster take damage from the battle or not?

If a monster switches to Defense Position during the Battle Phase, then no, it will not take / inflict any damage because you cannot attack in Defense Position. In fact, the opponent's monster will not be destroyed because the attack was stopped.

 

(Except if you're Superheavy Samurai or something that can still strike in Defense Position, but those are special cases)

I mean the attacking monster change the defend in the battle not the attacking monster.

It would've been better if you just PM'd the user instead of posting this in a unrelated topic.

 

Should've locked this earlier, but yeah, if an attacking monster goes to Defense Position, in nearly all cases, the attack stops.

If the target goes to defence position, then no unless your monster deals piercing damage.
