As you guys probably read in the match thread, 3-23 should've been just these two due to Whimsicott already having won in an earlier match.

Because the error was not found until AFTER the round concluded (and normally tournaments do not retroactively redo pairings), Vulpix will continue to round 4 in the standard bracket.

 

[At this time, I have not yet randomized the R4 bracket.]

 

However, as a compromise, you get the hypothetical match to determine what would've happened, had the error been found before match posting. Does Vulpix deserve its spot, or should it have gone the other way?

Since I nominated Goodra, I have to support it. But even though I haven't used either of them, I wouldn't mind using them since both can be decent.

Voted for Vulpix, as I do like it (that, and I literally have a box full of HA ones / 3-4 IVs ones with egg moves, albeit not all of them are perfect where I need them). Yeah, I was breeding it for a while.

Voted for Alola Vulpix, because it looks cuter and I like its color scheme more than Goodra. Plus, it could still evolve into Ninetales. If it had been Whimsicott, I'd have voted for Whimsicott. Even though that Pokemon annoyed me with Prankster, Substitute, Leech Seech, Giga Drain and what have you, I still like how it looks and I used it myself.

Vulpix-A truly did earn its spot in round 4, it seems. 

But yeah, Vulpix wins 5-3 over Goodra. 

 

Let's see if Goodra can redeem itself in L3 (and obviously Vulpix holding itself in R4 to prove that it can go the distance).
