Darj
The "Seven Deadly Sins," a group of evil knights who conspired to overthrow the kingdom of Britannia, were said to have been eradicated by the Holy Knights, although some claim that they still live. Ten years later, the Holy Knights have staged a Coup d'état and captured the king, becoming the new, tyrannical rulers of the kingdom. Elizabeth, the king's third daughter, sets out on a journey to find the "Seven Deadly Sins," and to enlist their help in taking back the kingdom.(Source: Red Hawk NEO)https://myanimelist.net/anime/23755/Nanatsu_no_Taizai The only thread I found on this series was posted way back on 2014 and didn't flourish so I'm making it again because I started reading it after watching the first season this year despite knowing about it since it was released, and a 4-episode special was released recently on Netflix so there may be YCMers around to talk about it. This is a series that I started to like soon after I watched the first episodes. In the previous thread of this series it was mentioned it was a cliche shonen but... IDK, I don't see the cliches. To be fair, I'm not quite the manga reader and I can count the ones I follow with my fingers of a single hand, so perhaps that's why I don't perceive the cliches. I guess that works on my favor because it lets me enjoy series like this and the aforementioned Black Clover. Anyway, among the things I like about the series are the characters, the relationships between them, and their powers that I find really interesting and creative. Also what keeps me excited is their potential to get stronger, not only individually, but also as a group; I can only imagine the things they will be able to do once they surpass their limits and hopefully combine each other's powers. Astro Dude
There is confusion on the internet between this and Seven Mortal Sins, the fanservicey show featuring over the top female versions of the seven mortal sins of man, developed by the people behind Queen's Blade. Still, seems like a good show. You're not doing this cause of the new game based on this are you?
Darj
Still, seems like a good show. You're not doing this cause of the new game based on this are you? Nope, I don't know what game you mean, but I will look it up. I made this thread because a manga chapter was released some hours ago and it motivated me to attempt to start a discussion on the series here in YCM. Fusion X. Denver
I've only seen the anime so far, I'll probably catch up with the manga once the second season finishes airing.I like the action and most of the characters, but I don't really like Meliodas. I know Japan's loose with perversion and all that, but he's...legit sexually assaulting her. Too distracting and it feels wrong.
Darj
[spoiler=Chapter 230]Things are getting exciting: light vs. darkness, pure power. Escanor got my interest since I first saw him and I suspect it still holds plenty of surprises; can't wait to see him go all out this time, hopefully. Also, that was such a clever way to keep Elaine around longer. By the way, wish Ban finds his sacred treasure soon; he is the only one that doesn't have it yet, and in the recent battle he surely realized that he was falling behind in the team. The sacred treasure may be the right push it needs to catch up.
Shradow
S2 needs to hurry up and get here so I can praise the sun once he's animated. EDIT: New chapters were so good this week. \[T]/
Darj
[spoiler=Latest chapters, until 235]That fight between Meliodas and Escanor... damn, too much power. The latter turned into such a behemoth at the peak of noon. And yeah, it was confirmed that Ban realized that he was falling behind. If his sacred treasure was taken away when he was imprisoned by the Holy Knights, I think it's a good chance to bring Jericho, and possibly Guila as well, to give him his weapon and join the team.I hadn't realized that most of the Ten Commandments had been taken out already until Zeldris asked for them.
