~~~~ Posted July 14, 2017 Report Share Posted July 14, 2017 Really, I think the main issue with Ties and the level 4s (besides, you know, not being able to use it on 'em) is that Ties stops SSing for the rest of the turn and all the level 4s do is SS. If you play it on a level 4, you wouldn't be able to trigger its effect after Ties resolves. But yeah, setting up Star for the corresponding level 3s would make up for it if you have enough stuff to hold off the opponent during their next turn.You just trigger it in your opponent's draw phase then Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tinkerer Posted July 14, 2017 Report Share Posted July 14, 2017 If you draw Starr your deck is running. idk why you wanna check an imaginary checkbox when you already have more than 1 Magibullet on board, your goal in the 1st place??? I'm talking overall possibilities. I don't get what you mean by checkbox, but getting the ability to put out 2 Magibullets is certainly better than getting out only 1, right? Just by having a third L4, Ties becomes consistently able to be used and you can access Star more quickly. Whether or not any possible L4 would be able to work under Ties is more/less irrelevant since triggering their effects during the opponent's turn is possible. I was just pointing out something I'd noticed about them. You just trigger it in your opponent's draw phase then I should have specified. By "enough", I mean more than 1. The feeling when you only have Star on the field and only 1 usable spell/trap in hand is kinda... ugh... But, yeah. That is the obvious solution to that hypothetical play. That is the obvious solution to that hypothetical play.The only reason to care about ties is to target the level 3s. I'm telling you it won't matter when you actually play the deck. It's an imaginary checkbox in the same manner that people play a 2nd Seraphinite for Brilliant Fusion.Your logic makes no sense since the levels 3s are not Starrs themselves. That's the whole point of playing Ties to turn your Caspar into more than 1 Magibullet (your goal). It's not necessary to do this for Starr since it already does that. The difference between 1 or 2 can be considered negligible when you have access to Caspar in both scenarios. Like """"""more consistent""""""" sounds like a meme when you literally have to open Calamity and no other S/T (nice deck) for it to matter. Sounds like you'll lose regardless because you don't have Caspar to generate a follow-up. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
