KatnissGod
In honor of my Rising Star award, I've decided to do one of these. And that's it, bring in the questions.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
1. How does it feel to have won an award for Best New Member? 2. From the perspective of a new member, what is something that YCM needs to attract more newbies to stay longer? (By now, you probably notice how few new members we actually retain; you being one of those who stayed) 3. Thoughts of YCM as a whole (can be about people in specific areas or overall)? 4. Favorite Deck.

Favorite Deck.1. Appreciated and/or Noticed 2. Other than the obvious but most impossible choice, fixing the card maker, there's really not that much. Most new members end up here solely because of Yugioh and therefore focus solely on CC. But they get little to none feedback there and therefore get bored and eventually leave. If somehow we found a way to get people to actually give feedback there and find a way to attract them to other areas then in theory we could get new members to stick but currently, we're stuck in a loop. 3. I like this forum. It's where I spend most of my free time, next to anime. The members are easy enough to get along with, rules are decent and just a good place overall. I specifically like the fact that there's a variety of places you can post (e.g a place for roleplaying, another for Steven Universe and one for making cards), something the other card maker forums didn't have. 4. Don't play Yugioh (or at least the modern one) so I can't say. I've played against the Madolche deck before and that was a pain, so I guess Madolche? [spoiler=#2 response]Part of the reason why the redemption threads exist is for people to be motivated to actually critique, but at the same time, it also depends on how open they are to getting critiqued (with respect to modern design). Over my time here, I've seen a few of them who don't like being criticized for their work (or didn't bother to read comments); others are more open to it. Casual is/was intended to be for users who aren't quite familiar with the competitive game and all [so they have somewhere to go without being forced into Advanced and having to deal with their cards getting trashed against Zoos / True Kings, etc.] But yeah, CC's supposed to be the main draw for the most part, however can't do much about it until YCMaker gets over here and fixes the cardmaker (we've been getting on his ass for the past 16 months to fix things on YCM). Not like Written Cards aren't a thing though... Trying to think of ways to increase the activity that do not involve dropping the Advanced Clause; it's remaining. IDK, maybe some Hall of Fame thing like the awards (but monthly or whenever). I know I asked another user the same question, and similar answer; fix the cardmaker or really make certain areas more amiable to [newer] members without chewing them out. In the past, some topics/forums got rather toxic and probably potential new members got wind of that and decided to go away and/or stick to the cardmaker. Octosquid
If you could become anything other than a Kuriboh (of course you can, you're Kurigod), what would you be? Also, what's your signature from? It's hilarious. ^.^
