Level 2 EARTH Dragon-Type Effect Monster

(1) Once per turn, when your opponent activates a card or an effect: You can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower Dragon-Type monster from your Deck.

True Draco style effect to Special Summon a monster? And odd choice, but maybe a few Dragon Decks will have use for it.

Wow, honestly I never expected them to make a Troop Dragon retrain.

I'm really glad I'm not the only one to notice that.

So this thing only has a soft OPT, huh? I guess you can summon up to 4 dragons by the time the turn ends.

As bad as this idea is, if they keep releasing level 2 dragons with different attributes that help summon more, I suppose that R2 Cat monster could actually come up useful.

There's not a whole lot that its targets can do on the opponent's turn so they'll probably just run this over along with whatever it Summons (and the idea of leaving this out in Attack Position is not so appetizing), but being a soft OPT I believe you could use this to bring out another Soldier Dragon, then do the same thing again and use your final Soldier Dragon to tutor Sniffing Dragon so that's potentially something.

About a decade ago Troop Dragons from Masked Dragons were a fun little engine to eat up to six attacks and then Dragon's Mirror for FHD. This was back when "Ratbox" was a viable deck and destruction effects weren't quite so rampant.

Wasn't there some deck that literally tutored itself? Started from like Giant Rat and ended at Troop Dragon?
