Make a Xyz Monster Game (v. 2.0)

(Because somewhere in the ARC-V universe, Yuto is ranting about why we skipped him and did the other ED summon mechanics.)

 

But anyway, should be standard fare, but basically do the prompt above yours, then use up to 2 of the following for the next design. 

  • Name
  • Rank
  • Type
  • Attribute
  • Required materials
  • Specific function (from post #180 onward; please keep it reasonable)

Also some general rules (outside usual site stuff):

 

1. Make sure your card follows established standards for the actual game.

- Rank 0 stuff is fine, but they need that condition to be a certain non-zero Rank always.

- No breaking the 5000 ATK/DEF max threshold, and/or exceeding Rank 12. 

- Obey the standard Types/Attributes, etc that are available. 

- Cyverse/Cyberse Xyz Monsters are permitted.

 

2. Don't post overly broken cards in this section. It is your job to balance them out. 

 

3. Only use 2 of the above for prompts. 

 

4. I reserve the right to skip prompts if they break the rules, but hopefully I don't have to. 

 

5. (From post #151 and onward)

 

Do not create monsters that would otherwise cause circumventing of existing game mechanics. (This also prevents us from having to make ruling queries later about how this is supposed to work.) It is possible to do so, but to save members headaches in trying to work that out, yeah.

Quad-Wing Dragon

DARK - Rank 7 - Dragon/Xyz/Effect - 2600/2500

2 Level 7 monsters

While this card has Xyz Material, it cannot be destroyed or targeted by card effects, except during Main Phase 2. Your opponent must attack this monster with as many monsters as possible during their Battle Phase, starting with the monster with the lowest ATK. If your opponent takes damage from a battle involving this monster, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card: decrease the ATK and DEF of all monsters your opponent controls by an account equal to the amount of damage inflicted.

 

Because R7 needs actual tools.

Once per turn, if this card battles an opponent's monster: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; its ATK or DEF (your choice) becomes 0 until the end of this turn, then you gain LP equal to that lost ATK or DEF.

EARTH - Rank 9 - Beast-Warrior/Xyz/Effect - 2500/3000

2 or more Level 9 monsters

This monster gains 200 ATK and DEF for each Xyz Material attached to it. If an Xyz Material(s) is detached from another Xyz monster on the field, that Material(s) is attached to this card as Xyz Material. This monster is unaffected by, and cannot be targeted by, the effects of monsters whose ATK is less than or equal to this monster's ATK. At the start of each Battle Phase, detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, and if you do, target 1 face-up card on the field and destroy it, if possible. You can only control 1 "Tricloptic Giant".

Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; its effects are negated, also during this turn, you can Xyz Summon using that monster as a Level 8 monster for the Xyz Summon of a "Gimmick Puppet" monster. When this card leaves the field: Special Summon 2 "Gimmick Puppet" monsters from your Graveyard, then you can Xyz Summon 1 monster from your Extra Deck using those 2 monsters only.  

 

(I don't really know how GPs play nowadays, but think their main problem is still lack of easier summoning for Rank 8. Hopefully this helps a bit.)

Each time a Chain of 3 or more Links resolves, this monster gains X00 ATK for each Link in that Chain, where X is the number of cards in that Chain you own (cards and effects cannot activate in response to this effect). If either player initiates a Chain of 4 or more Links during your turn, and no 2 cards in that Chain have the same name, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card: This monster gains an additional attack this turn. If this monster would be destroyed (by battle or card effect) you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target and destroy 1 other card either player controls, instead.

You can only activate the (1) and (3) effects of this card's name once per turn. (1) You can target 1 other face-up monster on the field; attach it to this card as Xyz Material. If this card has a Plant-Type monster as Xyz Material, this effect can be activated during either player's turn. (2) Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; destroy 1 card in your opponent's hand. (3) If this card leaves the field while it has Xyz Material: You can Special Summon 1 Plant-Type Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck, except "Haetorigusa the Voracious Predator", and if you do, attach this card to that monster as Xyz Material. 

 

Note: Destroying cards in the hand is technically a thing due to Aqua/Marine Dolphin, albeit with conditions. But yeah, here's a Plant monster based on a Venus flytrap. Think we need more Plant Xyz.

During each Standby Phase, place 1 Spore Counter on all face-up monsters your opponent controls. Monsters lose 400 ATK and DEF for each Spore Counter on them. If another "Fungal Serpents" monster you control has higher ATK and/or DEF than a monster with a Spore Counter on it, that monster with Spore Counters on it has its effects negated. Once per turn, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to send 1 Reptile-Type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, and if you do, add 1 Reptile-Type monster from your Graveyard to your hand, except the sent monster.

You can only use the (2) effect of this card's name once per turn. You can also Xyz Summon this card by using 1 Rank 4 or lower Dragon-Type monster you control as the Xyz Material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) (1) While this card has a Dragon-Type monster as Xyz Material, negate the effects of all monsters your opponent controls, also the ATK and DEF of all FIRE monsters your opponent controls becomes 0. (2) You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; destroy as many Spell/Trap Cards on the field, up to the number of Dragon-Type monsters you control.
