Each player can only control 1 Type of monster. Send all other face-up monsters they control to the Graveyard.

My personal favorite floodgate card.  Just a thought though, considering decks seem to be very much comprised of engines over a distinct whole, could this possibly see play?  Now, I know that Zoodiac hurts this simply by virtue of going into Drident, but this could stop the level/rank 3 stuff from hitting board/getting to Zoo in the first place so that is something.

Anyone have any input on use of this?

I mean, I guess, but I wonder if mutli-type decks are mostly rogue. You could use it on True King Dinos, but they still have wyrms or dinosaurs either way.

The card could be something in your hand that's better, and for what it does it may not be worth it.

Chain to Lithosagym (effect or summon) and then they can't use the effects of the babies that they pop(ped). Also stops them Summoning Laggia

Also you can Tribute it away with a True Draco if it's annoying you, although you must control no non-Wyrms to attempt to do so.

There's some good points here.  What I hadn't thought of in my opening statement when I asked if this could see play was if there were any decks that could feasibly run it.  True Draco immediately comes to mind, but that then begs the question would it be worth it for them verses other, potentially more useful floodgates?

Outside Zoo and True variants, are there any "tier 2" things that this hurts?  Obviously it really hurts Extra Deck-heavy decks in general, but I dunno what other high decks there are besides those two...

The first thing I thought of were mostly weird link decks, but I can't say much due to some irrelevancy and not that many clear decklists or engines.

Atm it's an alright floodgate card but nowadays decks usually use one type (Zoos, Dinos, True Dracos, Paleo, Infernoids), and in most other cases it's mostly an annoyance than something that oppresses the board and you can always get your archetypal S/T removal to try to rid it.

At least with True Dracos you can take advantage of Rivalry's brother Gosen Match. Not so much for the other 3 though.

For the record, Dinos are about as mixed as it gets

Similarly it is possible, if not as viable, to catch Infernoids with this vs an engine card like Raiden or a disruptor/extender like Fairy Tale Snow.

Otherwise ye. Any splashed Zoo being a potentially searchable 1-card removal doesn't help either.
