Draconus297
Rank-Up Advantage Continuous Spell When a monster is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Rank-Up-Magic" Spell Card, draw 1 card. Negate the effects of any monster that battles an Xyz monster you control that was Summoned using a "Rank-Up-Magic" Spell Card. Otherwise known as "draw engine for Raidraptors". While Shun never used it (it was a ZeXal card), I like to think that it would give Rank-Up-Magic centered Xyz Decks (Utopia spam, RR, Number extravaganza) a way to hold onto some sort of relevance, even in the Link era. The effect negation really needs some PSCT, but it seems to be permanent from this wording. Thoughts?
Blake
terrible it rewards you for going -1 while being dead unless you already have your cards that help you play the game, thus making it too late it's just a supply squad with a decent secondary effect tacked on
Draconus297
Well, you get two draws off The Seventh One, making that mistake a little less dead. It would become a pseudo-Pot of Barian.
Kaiji
Well, you get two draws off The Seventh One, making that mistake a little less dead. It would become a pseudo-Pot of Barian.2 B fair seventh one has to be played at the start of your M1 so Advantage will definitely be dead before that point. Like best comparison is that 1 Constellar Star Chart card or Supply Squad, Constellar has Ptolemy M7 that requires no additional cards to trigger it (whereas Advantage requires a rank up magic) and its not seeing play because you only pay for the activation of chart. You could just play any other card in that scenario since it wouldnt restrict you to that 1 rank-up play. In the case of Squad, you have to jump through hoops to trigger destruction on your own which usually requires a 3rd card. Squad would only be paying for that 3rd card, even if you pop a floater, Supply Squad still hasn't been "paid for."
vla1ne
considering just how many rank up magics are used in RR, this card would see a hell of a lot of play in the deck. the largest issue would be drawing it, and a rank up card early, but considering it has no real cost, it's continuous, and the hoops you have to jump through are par for course in RR decks anyways, it would still be a welcome addition to the deck. not as welcome as a rank up searcher that works in RR, but the point stands.
