calling of phantasms (updated 29/5/2008)

i've created a new archetype of monsters-the Phantasms.They are mainly LV 2 DARK Fiends with ATK & DEF at 1000 (well,most of them).When they are destroyed,they will return to possess the opponent who killed them.Give your opinions.

 

Monster Cards

Phantasm of Greed

DARK/Fiend/LV 2/ATK 1000/DEF 1000

When this card is destroyed in battle,both players draw 1 card each.When this monster is destroyed in battle,equip this card to the monster that destroyed it.The controller of the equipped monster takes 300 points of damage when he draws a card outside of his Draw Phase.

 

Phantasm of Despair

DARK/Fiend/LV 2/ATK 1000/DEF 1000

When this monster is destroyed in battle,equip this card to the monster that destroyed it.The equipped monster cannot be tributed for a tribute summon & it cannot attack.During your opponent's Standby Phase,the controller of the equipped monster takes damage equal to half of the monster's ATK.

 

Phantasmal Doom

DARK/Fiend/LV 7/ATK ?/DEF 0

This card cannot be normal summoned or set.This card can only be special summoned by tributing 1 "Phantasm" monster in your spell & trap card zone.This card gains 1000 ATK for every "Phantasm" monster in your spell & trap card zone.When this card is destroyed in battle,equip this card to the monster that destroyed it & remove 1 "Phantasm" monster in your graveyard from play.This card gains the effect of the monster removed from play.

 

Phantasm of Force

DARK/Fiend/LV 2/ATK 1000/DEF 1000

When this monster is destroyed in battle,equip this card to a monster you control.The equipped monster gains 1000 ATK points & 300 ATK for every card in your spell & trap card zone.

 

Phantasm of Unstability

DARK/Fiend/LV 2/ATK 1000/DEF 1000

This card is destroyed 3 turns after thus card is normal summoned or flipped.When this monster is destroyed in battle,equip this card to the monster that destroyed it. The equipped monster is destroyed after 3 Standby Phases have passed.

 

Phantasm Striker

DARK/Fiend/LV 3/ATK 1000/DEF 1000

If there is a "Phantasm" monster equipped to a monster your opponent controls,this card can attack the opponent directly.When this card inflcits Battle Damage,send 1 "Phantasm" monster that is equipped to a monster to the graveyard.

 

Spell Cards

Possession

Normal Spell

Pay 1000 Life Points & select 1 "Phantasm" monster in your hand.You can equip this card to a monster on the field.The "Phantasm" monster gains the effect when it would be equipped to a monster.

 

Soul Harvesting

Normal Spell

Send 1 "Phantasm" monster that is equipped to a monster to the graveyard in order to draw 2 cards.

 

Trap Cards

Call of the Tenacious Spirits

Normal Trap

Activate only when a monster you control is destroyed in battle.Add 2 "Phantasm" monsters (except the monster destroyed) from your graveyard to your hand.

 

Curse of Phantoms

Normal Trap

Send every 1 of the opponent's monster that has a "Phantasm" monster equipped to it to the graveyard & inflict 300 points of damage to the opponent for every one sent to the graveyard by this effect.

I think it is quite clever, although you would probably need some heavy hitters to go with them (probably why you said MOST have 1000 attack and defence). They seem like a clever idea. The only monsters i know that equip to OPPONENTS monsters are

Blast Sphere, Adhesive Explosive, Archfiend of Gilfer, and Dark Necrofear (although there are most likely others). but making a deck BASED on it seems clever.

 

The strongest possession would probably be taking an opponents monster and powering it up.

 

And the effect of possesing a monster to have the same effect as greed is interesting...

 

or perhaps a phantasm that 'possesses' the opposing duelist, that would be... INTERESTING.

because i'm planning some heavy hitters within this archetype,i plan it to have gained strength from other phantasms that are possessing opposing monsters & thanks for the tip.also,i've added a heavy hitter as well.
