Hallohallo Posted May 17, 2017 Report Share Posted May 17, 2017 MixeroidWind Machine / EffectLV4 0/2200You can only use each of this card name’s effects once per turn.(1) You can Tribute 1 Machine-Type monster; Special Summon 1 non-WIND “roid” monster from your Deck.(2) You can pay half your LP, then banish any number of Machine-Type monsters from your GY, including this card; Special Summon 1 “roid” Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck whose Level is the same as the combined Level of the banished monster’s, ignoring its Summoning conditions, and if you do, destroy it during the End Phase. UltimateIRS Posted May 17, 2017 Report Share Posted May 17, 2017 Was gonna post this in a topic with Megaroid City, but oh well. Megaroid CitySpell FieldYou can only use each of this card name’s effects once per turn. If you activate any of this card’s effects, you cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck during this turn, except Fusion Monsters.(1) You can target 1 other card you control; destroy it, and if you do, add 1 “roid” card from your Deck to your hand.(2) During damage calculation, when a “roid” monster you control attacks or is attacked: You can send 1 “roid” monster from your Deck to the Graveyard; during this damage calculation only, switch the original ATK and DEF of that monster you control. That non-WIND restriction though, they really didn't want this stuff to support Speedroids. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Atypical-Abbie Posted May 17, 2017 Report Share Posted May 17, 2017 Well, they got more search options, I guess that's nice. Roids will probably never be all that great due to their monsters being crappy in general. Still, maybe they will be playable now at least. Hallohallo Posted May 17, 2017 Author Report Share Posted May 17, 2017 I just noticed that you can't Link Summon if you activate any Megaroid City effect. Well I guess it's not that big of an issue, since I'm pretty sure this was the reason why they made Mobile Base "movable". Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
goodfusion Posted May 17, 2017 Report Share Posted May 17, 2017 I'm unsure what to think about Megaroid City. On the one hand, it's both a searcher AND a Graveyard setup card. But it prevents you from summoning Rank 4s like Gear Gigant X during that turn, and killing your own cards isn't something roids want to do - Although I do like how it works with Wonder Garage, and a retrain of that might be the final support in this pack, which would be neat. Mixeroid is absolutely amazing. It's a Lonefire Blossom that's a Machine Duplication target, with a bonus effect for the lolz. Works great with Expressroid and can even search out those random 1-of roids needed for the Fusion Summons. It also helps enable the dreaded UFOroid + Inferno Reckless Summon = Cyber Dragon Infinity combo! EDIT: Mixeroid is like Miscellaneousaurus, it banishes Machines equal to that monsters Level Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Darj Posted May 17, 2017 Report Share Posted May 17, 2017 Yeah, funny how they made Mixeroid's effect exclude WIND roids to avoid support Speedroids, and then made it as WIND when the attribute doesn't really match its artwork IMO just to prevent it from searching for a copy of itself xDThat second effect looks really potent, though; being a grave effect, and the first effect letting you Tribute Mixeroid itself, makes it really practical. Megaroid City makes me think of Sky Iris and Dragonic Diagram, except that it's more restrictive than both. At least it can also search Speedroids, but they won't like the Extra Deck Summoning lock xD Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
玄魔の王 Posted May 17, 2017 Report Share Posted May 17, 2017 Just so you know, Mixeroid Summons based on the NUMBER of roids banished, not their total Levels So 5 roids to get Pair Cycroid. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
(GigaDrillBreaker) Posted May 17, 2017 Report Share Posted May 17, 2017 Would these have really been broken if they worked well with Terrortop? Yeah, I guess so. That card is pretty silly. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tinkerer Posted May 17, 2017 Report Share Posted May 17, 2017 Yeah, funny how they made Mixeroid's effect exclude WIND roids to avoid support Speedroids, and then made it as WIND when the attribute doesn't really match its artwork It totally does tho! It's GREEN; green = wind, duh! Jokes aside, like pretty much every new card out of this pack, this stuff is really solid. But I'm not sure about Mixeroid's second eff. Banishing machines equal to the Fusion's level? I don't see that really being used, even without any kind of restriction on what machines you can banish. Games move too fast for you to accumulate enough in grave to make anything meaningful (unless you go with some kind of weird Machine-heavy Grass deck) Also, can the field spell search "Necroid Synchro"? From what it shows on 'pro, that's the only Spell/Trap (outside the field itself) that has "roid" in it. Think we'll get 1 more "roid" spell/trap this set? It can search Necroid Synchro, and it can also search Vehicroid Connection Zone, which is pretty good but unfortunately can't be used to Fusion Summon Barbaroid the Ultimate Battle Machine or Pair Cycroid. IMO, Mixeroid's second effect seems most useful for summoning Pair Cycroid as a sort of "Cowboy for game" thing. It's too costly (both LP and banish) to be consistently good, unlike its first effect which is alway's going to be pretty amazing. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sleepy Posted May 18, 2017 Report Share Posted May 18, 2017 I wish Machine Dupe was a more dependable card than it actually is because this card is pretty great when used with it.There's also Expressroid and Ambulanceroid for pluses and speed I guess, but something's still lacking.Glad to see the Summon is not capped by Level because Armoroid is gonna be pretty cute for S/T banishing non-targeting removal on a 2700 ATK body. Now searchable and recyclable. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The Nyx Avatar Posted May 18, 2017 Report Share Posted May 18, 2017 Mixeroid: Well, can't bring out Jetroid, Decoyroid, Shuttleroid, or Gyroid. But not a huge loss. Still makes it easier to bring out the bigger bodies like UFORoid, Armoroid, and Rescueroid. Though, I don't like that effect as much as its second effect, making it easier to Summon Super Vehicroid - Mobile Base, and some of the older Fusion monsters that were difficult to Summon. You could also Tribute this if you have another roid monster already in your Graveyard to bring out Pair Cycroid and Summon Cyber Dragon Nova. Probably not the best idea, but it's there. Megaroid City: Not bad. You could give up a Spell/Trap Card in exchange for a roid monster, but as for the second effect, only ones I can think of are Truckroid and Mobile Base. And searchable by Terraforming. I really like this support and wish they do more like this for the archetype. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
goodfusion Posted May 22, 2017 Report Share Posted May 22, 2017 I just realised I may need to change my member group thanks to Megaroid City.... Also Terrortop is still defo worth running in this deck even after the Limit, it's a free Special Summon to pop with Megaroid City or Tribute with Mixerroid whilst getting you Menko or Pachingo-kart or something. I'm unsure if Taketomborg would still be worth it though seeing as Megaroid City stops you from Rank3ing. Although Mixerroid is WIND so maybe. ~ P O L A R I S ~ Posted May 23, 2017 Report Share Posted May 23, 2017 whose Level is the same as the combined Level of the banished monster’s Ugh. Good support nonetheless, but not good enough to bring Slowroids back. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

~~~~ Posted May 24, 2017 Report Share Posted May 24, 2017 That sounds right, much less specific and more appropriate/do-able. umm, hell no, 3 Level 4s for a Barbaroid or 2 Level 4s for a Jumbo Drill would actually have been awesome. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
