In his experience, Ichiro would have told him something about the law, but he seemed more occupied with talking to Asuka... so he'd let them do it. Isami seemed to be in the same boat. So maybe it wasn't common knowledge?

"Yeah... I didn't know that either..." Isami responded, scratching the back of his head. "I just... kinda assumed we were already heroes, ya know?" He said, laughing softly. Aaron turned around as Isami piped in confused by the laws of Quirks too.

"Terro, there are 'Quirk' laws that were established a generation or so ago to help keep the peace and common ground, however, they have been seen to be a double-edged sword to a majority of people, especially those who turned to the life of crime. For example, we legally can defend ourselves and others with quirks, but as soon you 'hurt' someone in the process they'll be on you like vultures because you are 'displaying your quirk to the public.' But that's only if they catch you, so say goodbye to Valentine and Samaritan Laws if you have a Quirk. . . It's hard to live in this super society when there are laws telling you can't use something that is a part of you early in life, it's frustrating, you know?"

Terro blinked at that confusion etched on his face.

"So... you're telling me that if we use our quirks to help someone, but helping includes fighting... we'll get in trouble?" He paused, letting the thought stew in his mind. He never was ever in a situation where there was another answer besides fighting... could they do that? "It doesn't matter the situation? We'll just get in trouble?" Is that why they wanted to know what happened with Gin? "That's so... backwards... if you have the power to protect someone, you should do it, right? You city folks are so weird...," He had to get his mind off of this.

His eyes lit up as he realized something. "Oh, yeah, I heard you actually took down a villain by yourself Aaron! I guess you got in trouble for that... but... I think that's awesome, for what it's worth!" He said, grinning and giving a thumbs up. "Actually, come to think about it... I really don't know what happened back at the stadium... I was attacked by a villain and that was really distracting...,"

Mike

BGM

Mike had trouble remembering the rest of the night that the stadium was attacked, just recalling a few bits and pieces: lying on a stretcher, doctors examining his vitals, his parents shouting at... someone. Everything was blurred and muddled together and felt more and more like a dream the harder he thought about it. When he awoke the next morning on a hospital bed, the image of Bloodstone pointing her gun at him with those cold, lifeless eyes staring down at him was burned into his mind and Mike had startled the medical staff by shouting as he had bolted upright.

The next week had gone by painfully slow. Mike had been discharged from the hospital soon enough once he was back on his feet. With the week off, the dorms were quiet. The other students had gone home to their own families, while Mike had spent that time by himself, most of it playing and replaying what few videogames he had managed to bring with him to Japan. He hadn't bothered to get in touch with anyone and sent nobody any messages. If he did spend any time outside his room, it was simply to get some food or attempt to get some training in, attempts that, each time, would fall flat and be cut short.

Truth be told, it wasn't long after Mike had been discharged that he had gotten into a fight with his parents. In wake of the attack, his mother had gotten on the principal's case for the safety of the students and having them be subject to such a dangerous political environment. With students missing and many people either injured or even dead from the attack, she threatened to sue and pull her son from the school. It wasn't long after Mike was discharged that she had gotten on his case, either. Mike was thoroughly chastised for his reckless behavior, for not going to his parents when things had gotten dangerous, for pushing himself too hard and risking his life needlessly. It was also then that his mother had told him that she planned to pull him from U.A.

And that was when they had fought-- yelling and shouting. Mike had stood his ground, and demanded that he stay and continue his studies, that this was what he wanted to do no matter the risk. But in that moment, his mother had not budged, ending the argument by simply stating that they needed to catch their plane home, and that they would arrange for his return soon. That was how their visit had ended. Soon after they had left, Mike had sent a long-winded and passionate email explaining once again why he wanted to, and needed to, stay.

Over the course of the week, he did not hear back from his parents. The letter was sent to his parents asking for permission that Mike would remain at the school, but even with that no reply had been sent. School administration said that if they did not receive a reply soon, Mike would need to be sent home regardless.

"Although, your enthusiasm has made the board think long and hard, and they have decided to let you all take your License Exam a tad bit early.  Study hard, and be prepared, future heroes!"

"Don't forget about the dorms."

Mike had sat in class with his head in his arms, noticeable dark rings under his eyes from one too many nights spent staying up too late. As the teachers filed out, everyone got back into the swing of things, talking about either what had happened a week ago, or the prospect of everyone staying in the dorms. Mike lifted his head up and stared at his phone, at a text sent to his mom earlier that morning informing her that the school needed to hear back soon, but he had yet to receive a reply.

The idea of getting his license early would have been exciting, but he could only feel numb hearing the news. The opportunity to show everyone else his room would have been exciting, but almost everything was currently packed up, in case he would need to leave soon.

And he desperately hoped that he wouldn't.

After the days lesson, Ino picked herself up from her notebook.  Ever since the Tournament, she had felt like she was getting left behind in all sorts of ways.  The way Terro had easily made her submit...her failure to drag Asuka away from her mother...she needed to become a better hero!  Living at the dorms was her next step, and in all honesty she was excited.  Excited to live next to all the other girls in class and talk about lame girl stuff!  However...her mind kept tracing back to Asuka.  Something told her that she wouldn't necessarily be able to talk to her for some time.  She looked towards the girl who had lied to her, and felt something fall to the bottom of her stomach.  It forced her to look back at her notes for the day.  At the bottom was a doodle of Lord D. and Suna holding hands.  She laughed to herself.

"So... um... anyone know what law they're talking about?"

"Yeah... I didn't know that either..."

Ino laughed at this even harder.  It was totally Terro and Isami's thing not to know things!  Aaron gave a lofty description that made her head spin, but she just decided to smile and nod.  He made some good points though.

"Welcome to the dorm life. Looks like we'll be neighbors starting today. Just don't get any dumb ideas like Terro over there, and we should get along well enough."

Ino jumped up, and made a strange "Eep!" sound, only to find Sayuri in front of her desk.  It was weird having that device speak for her, but she couldn't help but see how irresistibly cute this girl was!  She made a break to pat the girl's head, but stopped herself mid pat.  It might seem a bit rude to just start patting someone.  And she was no patting deviant.  She placed her hands flat against each other and smiled.

"I'm so excited!  They made the walls between my room out of some weird liquid that won't vibrate the building as a whole, so don't worry about me getting too excited!"  Ino laughed.  In the back of her mind, she remembered her mother's bittersweet expression as she packed all of her belongings.  Would she be alright by herself?  Shaking the thought.  "I'm actually really glad you are too!  I've always wanted a big group of friends ever since starting school here!  I thought you all would hate me for shaking around so much..."  She laughed again, before turning around to the other person she wanted to talk to.  However...he kind of looked like.

"Poop."  Ino blurted out towards Mike.  "You look like Poop."

Lord D...his name didn't mean much to Gin...only his position as Number 2 Hero.  He sat back in his chair far enough to tip the seat, balancing himself with the one foot on his desk.  This last week had been especially rough...his mind had wandered somewhere else during class.  The moment his mother had hugged him...it was the first time she had in over 10 years.  He was finally able to push it to his old man...with the help of...

"So... um... anyone know what law they're talking about?"

"Yeah... I didn't know that either..."

"These Idiots."  Gin groaned.  His left arm was still in it's sling...still so numb.  After that last attack...after he had used X-Caliber and continually used his Quirk...the feeling hadn't come back to it.  The only thing he could feel was how heavy it was.

"Gin, we need to talk."

Gin looked to Akira, who was wheelchair bound.  He smirked, sad at the fact that Gin himself wasn't the one who put him there.  The guy turned away without waiting for a response, only to roll out of the classroom.  Gin turned away to look at the front of class for a moment, only to kick off the desk and pick himself up to follow Akira.  As he walked towards Sayuri, who was talking to Ino, he couldn't help but think of how this chick had scolded him for doing the right thing.  The broad had to turn up her volume on the speaker to even get a chance to shout over him.  Annoyed at the memory, he yanked on her tail as he passed behind her.  After leaving the room, he found Akira.  He crossed his arms, and looked down on him.

"What?"  He asked, coldly.  "If you're looking for a 'Thanks'...you aren't getting one from me."  He looked to the side.  "I had it handled."

"Well alright then, bloody come out then, now I'm not doin' ya job FOR 'ye... How's the craic, Wendigo?"

"I don't know...if it were up to me, I'd have eaten all four of those guys."  Two large red pupils sprung to life from the ally, where Wendigo emerged.  "You seem to have a handle on handling the low level low life's, 'Miss Founder'.  GAHAHAH!"  He walked up to Hadley and tussled her hair around.  "By the way...what in the hell is craic?"  He asked, before she continued.

"By the by... When did these dumb fucks learn who tha' 'ell I was, anyhow?"

"What?  You didn't know?"  Wendigo laughed a bit more before pointing to a large television monitor on the side of a building.  It looked as if it were hastily put together by someone, as sparks shot out from the wires.  It clung for dear life against the building it was strapped against.  On it were replays of all the villains best shots against the heroes at the tournament.  The current segment had shown Hadley whipping the crap out of Akira.  "They saw you sticking it to the kid who could've won it all.  One of the strongest of us!  A founder!"  He then crossed his arms and raised a brow.  "Or are you tellin' me you don't watch T.V.  That's weird Hadley.  GAHAHAHA! Another figure had followed Wendigo from behind the shadows.  He was a hunched over teen, about Hadley's age, and wore a metal plated hockey mask.

"Oh!  I've been meanin' to introduce you to Fix!"  He said, pushing the kid up to meet her.  However, she would only be met with the dark abyss of the Hockey Mask's eyes that led nowhere.  "He's the guy who made those gauntlets for ya!  He makes all of our support gear!  He's technically a founder too!"  Fix nodded, before looking down to at his inventions, only to become visibly distressed when he saw the rather large dent in them.  He began to nervously scratch at his arms.

"D-D-D-Do you need me to f-f-f-f-fix them?  I would like to f-f-f-f-fix them."

"It's kinda his thing."  Wendigo whispered into Hadley's ear.  If she looked back to the Television from before, it was now placed on a device that was screwed into the wall, and the wires had been neatly arranged.

After the explanation, Terro seemed very concerned about this whole thing, just contemplating with himself over the complexity of government minds. It should've been at least taught growing up in grade school. "America is a little different on how they teach kids about when to use Quirks and what is acceptable and what's not, Japan is just a little strict about it I guess."

"Oh, yeah, I heard you actually took down a villain by yourself Aaron! I guess you got in trouble for that... but... I think that's awesome, for what it's worth! Terro replied giving Aaron a thumbs up for this achievement of his. It would've been something worth looking back to if the police weren't so threating about it being a huge mistake, which made Aaron a little embarrassed just thinking about it.  "Actually, come to think about it... I really don't know what happened back at the stadium... I was attacked by a villain and that was really distracting...,"

"Oh! Well. . . yeah. . ." Aaron scratched the back of his head wondering how he knew this. He didn't really spend much time around his own class during that whole time, mostly with 1-B, maybe everyone got asked about it during the interviews. "To be honest, I actually spent more time with 1-B during the attack and I really didn't see anyone else from our class, except for Akira for like 2 seconds. But the villain I captured was on top of the giant lizard monster, her name was. . . 'Shiki' I think? She has like greenish-blue hair, small horns coming from her head, a lizard tail, and looks like someone our age or younger, maybe older. She was controlling the monster because she screamed out 'REX' as I took her away, which in turn made it spew out fire into the stadium. . . But other than that, I really didn't know what really happened in the stadium, just helped 1-B and they helped me." Though he could mention the photos and video, Aaron felt best to leave that out for best intentions and quickly changed topics to get a better mood in the room. "So, what rooms are you guys in? I'm on the top floor."

"I've been better. I wanted to train my Quirk, but haven't had much time to do that. And yourself? Not too bad, I hope?"

Ichiro could hear the hoarseness in Asuka's voice, and it really looked like she wasn't here mentally at all. Jeez...guess I picked the wrong time to talk then. he thought, rubbing the back of his head some. "I've...been alright, I guess. I mean, arms healed up again and I'm not too achy like I was." he said, smiling lightly, trying to make some sort of conversation but failing at it. "Sooooo...not exactly get too much rest, I take it?"

OH MY GOD, ICHIRO STOP!!! ...this isn't a conversation about her sleep schedule! JEEZ! he mentally scolded himself. Then again, he really didn't want to talk about the incident. The bulk of the students were already on edge because of it and were still feeling the effects from this whole situation, would probably be beneificial to all parties involved if he chose not to talk about it.

He could overhear a few things regarding Terro and Isami asking about the "rules" that Lord D. was mentioning, but thankfully Aaron answered their questions on it. Then again, after that, Aaron did make mention of a few things.

"But the villain I captured was on top of the giant lizard monster, her name was... 'Shiki' I think? She has like greenish-blue hair, small horns coming from her head, a lizard tail, and looks like someone our age or younger, maybe older. She was controlling the monster because she screamed out 'REX' as I took her away, which in turn made it spew out fire into the stadium..."

Ichiro glanced over at Aaron, before clearing his throat. "Wait...you took the dinosaur's controller out? That's why it went into a frenzy?" he started, sighing greatly. "Jeez, what were you think-...nevermind...I just remembered I'm only in this situation cause I knocked the T-Rex out and...put some civilians in harms way in the process. Lord D. actually stopped the thing from falling...still can't believe Sayaka and Kaito shanghaied me into that..." he sighed again, rubbing the back of his neck. Great...he was talking about the incident.

"Poop," Ino blurted out from behind Mike. "You look like Poop."

Mike looked up the bare minimum amount in order to see Ino standing before his desk before his eyes returned back to the glaring screen of his phone. "I guess it's kinda obvious, huh," he muttered. "Sorry, I'm just kinda tired. I have a lot on my mind." At this point it had been long enough without hearing any response that he turned the screen off and the let the phone gently flop down onto the desk.

When he had come to class that day, he didn't really want to talk to anyone about what was going on. Or rather, he didn't really want to talk to anyone at all. But as he lay there with his head down in his arms, any part of him that really cared what was going to happen had long since died. "My parents haven't gotten back to the school about letting me stay since the attack yet," he said with a defeated finality. "Last I talked to them it sounded like they didn't want me here anymore. I tried to talk 'em out of it, but it doesn't seem like it worked."

"I'm so excited! They made the walls between my room out of some weird liquid that won't vibrate the building as a whole, so don't worry about me getting too excited! I'm actually really glad you are too! I've always wanted a big group of friends ever since starting school here! I thought you all would hate me for shaking around so much..."

Massage chairs also vibrate a lot, and people love those things. I do, anyway. They were relaxing to sit in. Though, comparing a person to a piece of furniture probably wasn't fair. Her gut feeling said Ino might have appreciated the sentiment, but it felt smarter to keep it to herself despite that. It'd be like comparing herself to a decorative rug, or Akira to a lamp. Before she had much more time to think about it, Sayuri felt something yank on her tail. She flinched, jumped up a bit, and sharply turned to see who it was. Gin. The temptation to run her claws across his face was awfully high in that instant, but quickly passed as he and a crippled Akira left the room.

Before the conversation could get much further, Ino turned toward Mike, and commented on just how awful he looked right now. Which, indeed, he looked pretty bad right about now.

"I guess it's kinda obvious, huh. Sorry, I'm just kinda tired. I have a lot on my mind." That made sense. Who didn't have a lot on their mind right now? The attack at the tournament, Starkiller City, the upcoming exams, not to mention most of the class being whisked away from their homes to live in dorms. It was a lot of stuff all happening at once. "My parents haven't gotten back to the school about letting me stay since the attack yet. Last I talked to them it sounded like they didn't want me here anymore. I tried to talk 'em out of it, but it doesn't seem like it worked." The wolf girl's ears perked up at this newest development. While Sayuri's parents hadn't really talked about the idea of pulling her out of U.A. - not to her, anyway - a conflict of interests was definitely something she could relate to.

"Keep talking to them," she quickly commented. "If you end up doing something just to please your parents without making your feelings perfectly clear, you'll regret it. Trust me."

lmHWTAK.png

"I've...been alright, I guess. I mean, arms healed up again and I'm not too achy like I was. Sooooo...not exactly get too much rest, I take it?"

"You could say that. As it turns out, screaming until you pass out only works for a couple of days before it wears your throat out, but it also helped me deal with the majority of the shock from recent events, so that's something." The last few days had been less of trying to get over what had happened, and more coming to terms with what it all meant, both in the now and in the future. Villains having a sanctuary of their own couldn't mean anything good, especially not when its denizens included the villains from the Kashyyyk incident, and even worse, Bloodstone herself. She didn't know what horrid schemes could be running around in Starkiller City, and she wasn't especially eager to find out.

Not while she was still working everything out in her head, anyway.

She opened her mouth to speak with Ichiro some more, but... he was already talking with Aaron now. That was fast. Just as well. Asuka had to go see someone anyway. Getting up from her desk, Asuka stepped out of the classroom, and turned toward 1-B's classroom. She stepped up to the door, opened it up, and said "Pardon the intrusion. I'm looking for Valerie Clark."

Isami was impressed with how much Aaron seemed to know about the rules and regulations. He also didn't completely understand the rules, but from what he gathered they weren't allowed to fight the villains until they were legally heroes. It felt a bit weird, but Isami didn't mind too much. He honestly preferred helping people in ways that didn't involve fighting. "Wow..." Isami muttered in amazement.

The conversation quickly became about the events that happened prior, Ichiro joining in. "I spent most of the time helping people get away... and then I went outside to help Gin and everyone else." He simply said, hearing everyone else. "I tried to get Shiki to hear me but... I guess she couldn't hear me." Isami said sadly. "I feel bad for Akira, though. He had to fight this one villain with big metal fists. She looked tough." He said absentmindedly, slowly drifting into day dream mode as he recalled the prior day.

"So, what rooms are you guys in? I'm on the top floor." His trance was broken as Aaron mentioned rooms.

"O-Oh, uh..." He said, clearly not aware of which room was his. He started searching his backpack for the paper that he wrote what room his was, although he was having a hard time finding it. "I... I think I was on one of the lower floors... maybe.." He said, still searching his bag.

Hadley narrowed her eyes at Wendigo through her messy hair. Last week she would likely have shouted at him for tousling her hair ("Ya know damn well I can't just brush it back all lackadaisical with these feckin' things, ye big furry twat!"), but she had been less inclined to yell at Wendigo lately. Since that conversation where she had learned he too didn't want his Quirk. That maybe he wasn't quite the irredeemable beast she thought he had been.

She settled for flat resignation. "Great." She shook her head, trying to get her hair out of her eyes. "Really wanted these guys lookin' up to me." She looked out over the city, frowning. "I don't like it in here, Wendigo... We're trapped like rats, no matter wha' the others think... I want all this shite ta be over."

It was then that Fix made his presence known. Hadley took a step back out of reflex, raising the gauntlets at the sight of the hockey mask. It was her default response to anyone living in the city who wasn't obviously Quirkless.

"He's the guy who made those gauntlets for ya!  He makes all of our support gear!  He's technically a founder too!"

Hadley's entire demeanor changed with that. She blinked, eyes locked on Fix before she dropped her hands, going up to him. "You... You made these?" she asked, a little shakily. She raised the gauntlets, allowing Fix to run his hands over them. "Thank... Thank you." Her voice was shaking, as she tried to keep it together, but incredibly honest and emotional. "I... I always tried regular gloves, years I tried 'em, and they... They worked a little, but they were shite, these... Can you fix them if I'm wearin' 'em?" She suddenly looked afraid, breath shallow as she pulled back from Fix, just a touch. "I... Ye know I hafta keep these on, right? Can ye fix em if... If I have em on?" She was afraid of the answer.

Valerie had been about to leave her seat, in the middle row, back of the class, with an empty desk on all sides of her to keep people from being affected by the heat, when suddenly the door to the classroom opened.

"Pardon the intrusion. I'm looking for Valerie Clark."

Asuka. That was the name. The only person from class 1-A she had managed to beat. Valerie had wondered about that. Was Terro one of the strongest or was Asuka just one of the weakest? Some day she'd have to challenge each of the class to see where she stood. While it pained her to think that there might be even more that were better than her she still felt she had to know.

The girl stood, waving off the looks of confusion from the rest of her class, and strode over towards Asuka. She stopped right in front of the, slightly shorter, girl, probably a bit too close for comfort, and grinned. "I know I probably looked cool barging into your classroom but I dunno if it's really your thing. Whatcha need me for? I don't do autographs if that's what you're after."

"Especially after what happened with that villain."

"America is a little different on how they teach kids about when to use Quirks and what is acceptable and what's not, Japan is just a little strict about it I guess." Aaron answered. Oh yeah, he should probably tell Aaron he never went to public school before this year.  "Oh! Well. . . yeah. . . To be honest, I actually spent more time with 1-B during the attack and I really didn't see anyone else from our class, except for Akira for like 2 seconds. Terro went to answer, but Ichiro has something important to say first.

"I'm on the lower floor," Terro stated. "I was living there before the rest of you all, ya know," He rubbed his chin, thinking to himself. "Well, if we're all moving there, we should do something special to commemorate today," He then smacked his fist into his hand. "Hey Sayuri!" Terro called out, turning to the wolf girl. "Do you think there's enough room to throw a welcoming party for everyone?"

"If you're looking for a 'Thanks'...you aren't getting one from me. I had it handled."

Akira opened his mouth to respond, but before he could speak, the door opened once again, and out stepped… Asuka. Shrinking slightly into himself, Akira averted eye contact. Even to this point, he felt horribly guilty about the situation he had placed her in. He was foolish in the heat of the moment, and had played right into the villains’ hand. But he couldn't dwell on that now. A few moments of silence was all it took for her to make her way to the other classroom, into which she disappeared.

“They all have been so concerned about whether we are safe that they glossed over the most important takeaway from that day,” Akira continued slowly, carefully, “we weren't strong enough.” Akira allowed his words to hang in the air for a moment, unsure of what else to say. Gin was a loose cannon with a hair trigger, and unless he said everything right, this conversation wouldn't get anywhere. “They have told us that we weren't supposed to fight, but we both know that this attack wasn't the last, and that next time, there isn't any number of rules that could stop us from acting against those villains.”

Akira rose a hand, the tiny crystal he used against Sunspot appearing once again in his palm. “X-Caliber, the ace move you used in the tournament, was probably the second most destructive thing I've ever seen. But it isn't good enough.” The crystal changed shaped into a small top, spinning quickly on the tip of his finger, “it's only good for one hit, and after that you're toast. And Mike proved just how useless my Macross Buster really is.” The boy shifted uncomfortably, adjusting the way he sat as if the chair was covered in thorns. “We need to get stronger, and the only people able to challenge us enough to make that happen are each other.”

Gin looked on in annoyance. He couldn’t help but feel that in his gut, that this kid was right. They had put on just as pathetic of a showing of their abilities as they had in Kashyyyk, and it all amounted to nothing. His father was still on the loose, and the heroes he wanted to be like were getting tossed around like toys by the villains. If they were ever attacked again, Gin wanted to win. He crossed his arms, as he smiled.

“So you think X-Caliber was my ace move, huh?” He shrugged. “I haven’t shown my whole hand yet you know…” He then sighed in defeat. “Although...If I turn it up more than I did with X-Caliber…” Gin looked at his arm that still hung in a sling, “I don’t know what’s gonna happen to my arm.” He looked back to those sunglasses and groaned. “Yeah. I agree. You’re the only one who could probably take me on at 100% and not die.” Even if he did, it’d be a win win. “So what do you have planned?”

Akira scratched lightly at the back of his neck, before elaborating, “well, with security at what it is now, I think we will need to do a lot of this in secret. Luckily you and I both have pretty subtle quirks.” He chuckled humorlessly. Even though he stood by the actions he took against the villains, he knew that the law was firmly against him. To slip up again and get caught would probably force him out of the school, and without UA, Akira wasn't too sure where he would go at this point. “For now, it should blend in well enough with the quirk extension training everyone will be doing. The goal is just a bit different. While everyone else is climbing as high as they can to pass the provisional license exam…” Akira trailed off for a moment, nearly taken aback by the absurdity of his own plan.

“We're training to take back Starkiller City.”

"My parents haven't gotten back to the school about letting me stay since the attack yet," Mike said with a defeated finality. "Last I talked to them it sounded like they didn't want me here anymore. I tried to talk 'em out of it, but it doesn't seem like it worked."

"Keep talking to them," Sayuri interjected. "If you end up doing something just to please your parents without making your feelings perfectly clear, you'll regret it. Trust me."

Ino couldn't help but keep a smile on her face as she nodded in agreement.

"You gotta do what's best for you, right?"  She said with enthusiasm.  "If your parents could've seen how you came in and saved me and Asuka that day, I bet they would've been really impressed!"  Mike's parents sounded just like hers.  However, Ino's mom wasn't likely to voice her concerns, seeing as how much this meant to her daughter...but was it okay to frighten her mother like this...all because she just wanted to prove she wasn't a danger to society?  She didn't like dwelling on that thought, but it had been popping up much more as of late.  Ino looked around for Asuka, a tingling in the back of her brain made her want to do so...like something was still bugging her.  She shook it off.  "Should we call your parents for you, Mikey?"  She asked the boy with a rather smug grin.  Terro then called out to grab Sayuri's attention, but caught hers as well.

"Do you think there's enough room to throw a welcoming party for everyone?"

"Mega duh!"  Ino giggled.  "Who knew Terro would think of such a good idea!  I'll help you set up, you can count on me Terro!"

“Well, with security at what it is now, I think we will need to do a lot of this in secret. Luckily you and I both have pretty subtle quirks.”

Was that an attempt at humor?

“For now, it should blend in well enough with the quirk extension training everyone will be doing. The goal is just a bit different. While everyone else is climbing as high as they can to pass the provisional license exam…”

His pause seemed like the entire world was waiting for what he was about to say next.  OUT WITH IT!

“We're training to take back Starkiller City.”

Who was this person?  Gin stood opposite of Akira, with his fists balling up hard enough to make the veins show.  He couldn't help himself from cracking a wicked grin, that trembled with excitement.  With his one good arm, Gin raised an open palm towards the air, only to clasp it with might.

"Now you're talkin', Glasses!"  Gin roared.  "That Wendigo...he shrugged off End Sniper like it was nothing...but when we're through with him, he'll be a stain on the pavement!"  Was this really hero talk?  Well, who cared, honestly.  The thought was at the back of his mind that his father surely fled to Starkiller City for asylum.  He was probably too injured to make a long

distance flight to another continent.  All the more reason to shake up the place some more.  "So what...we doing this before or after we get our licenses?"  He asked, calming down a bit.

"You... You made these?"

Within those deep black holes in the hockey mask, something resonated.  Fix nodded his head slowly.

"Thank... Thank you."

"Ah!"  Fix jumped in shock.  What was he supposed to say?!  Was there something he should say now?!  "Y-y-y-y-you're welcome!"  He managed to stammer out, bowing before Hadley quite a few times with a nervous buzz around him.

If I have em on?"

Fix shook his head from side to side.

"I-I-I-I came p-p-p-prepared, however."  He said, pulling something from out of his pocket.  He revealed them to Hadley to show a pair of large arm stockings.  "They're air-tight and sealed...so this should work as a replacement.  Not combat efficient, but very F-f-f-fashionable for a lady."  He said, nervously.  "You can switch them out, and give me the b-b-b-broken gauntlets.  So please hurry.  Much w-w-w-work to do."

"I know I probably looked cool barging into your classroom but I dunno if it's really your thing. Whatcha need me for? I don't do autographs if that's what you're after."

"Er, no, I'm not here for an autograph. I was thinking about our fight during the tournament." It probably wasn't a good idea to pause there. The tournament day... Asuka didn't want to think about it. It was better to not stop there at all, and get directly to what she was on about. "I lost that fight really badly. I can't say I'm aiming to be the number-one hero or anything, but I have my own goals in mind, and I won't be able to reach them if I'm beaten that easily simply because somebody's Quirk makes it hard for me to use mine. Not today, but sometime after we've both gotten stronger, I would like to have a rematch."

"You gotta do what's best for you, right? If your parents could've seen how you came in and saved me and Asuka that day, I bet they would've been really impressed!" Sayuri nodded in agreement. Mike had even won the tournament, on top of all that. Suffice to say, he could take care of himself. "Should we call your parents for you, Mikey?" That one, Sayuri shook her head at. Mike had to do it himself, or else it wouldn't count. Sayuri was about to say that for the others to hear, but before she got the chance...

"Hey Sayuri!"

What is it now, Terro?

"Do you think there's enough room to throw a welcoming party for everyone?"

Please don't. Sayuri couldn't imagine a party with this band of lunatics being anything short of hazardous. She could already feel her ears folding down instinctively just thinking about the racket they'd all make. "D--"

"Mega duh! Who knew Terro would think of such a good idea! I'll help you set up, you can count on me Terro!"

...great. "Of course we do."

Mike

"Keep talking to them," Sayuri commented, leaning into the conversation. "If you end up doing something just to please your parents without making your feelings perfectly clear, you'll regret it. Trust me."

"Yeah, it's just I--" Mike had started to mumble to himself quietly-- too quietly for Ino to hear.

"You gotta do what's best for you, right?"  She said with enthusiasm. "If your parents could've seen how you came in and saved me and Asuka that day, I bet they would've been really impressed!" At this Mike was taken aback. His current mood wanted him to reject everything that she said, but he could find no reason to. Ino then also added, "Should we call your parents for you, Mikey?"

Mike was also taken aback by "Mikey", but before he could stumble on his words Terro had called something over and both Ino and Sayuri were distracted. Mike felt like he was just saved a conversation and glanced back down at his phone, resting on the desk. They were right, however. Not saying anything was the surest of ways to get sent home regardless, and if he wanted to stay here and become the best that he can become, then he needed to do what he could to make sure that would happen.

Mike plucked his phone from his desk and slung his bag around his shoulder, stepping out of the room as he selected the number to call and listened to the ringing. He tried two times total, and both times he was met with an answering machine as he wandered down the halls. It then occurred to him what time it was, and how large of a timezone difference there was. Counting the hours on his fingers, Mike realized that it was still very early morning back home and that both of his parents would set their phones to silent when they slept.

Looking up from his phone, Mike took a moment to figure where it was that he had managed to wander off to. He could hear a smattering of voices coming from each direction, but hearing Asuka's echo from down the hall in particular triggered a "FIGHT OR FLIGHT" response within Mike that couldn't choose between the two...

"I gotta admit, Crystal, I sorta pegged you for a slacker during our match. Giving up like that so easily...but maybe there's hope for you yet." Valerie gave a wide grin and hooked her thumb towards her face. "But if you wanna get any better you gotta aim for the top. I don't want to hear any of this 'not aiming for number-one' crap outta you got it? If you want a fight you're gonna have to challenge me with a heck of a lot more enthusiasm than that!"

She lowered her hand, placing both her fists on her hips. "That being said...Any time you want to tussle and I'm down. That goes for everyone else in your class. Make sure Mike knows. You and him are a thing right? I didn't get a chance to fight him and I still want to see if he's as resolved as he looked in the finals."

She paused, then smirked. "And tell Terro whenever he wants his prize to come and get it."

"You could say that. As it turns out, screaming until you pass out only works for a couple of days before it wears your throat out, but it also helped me deal with the majority of the shock from recent events, so that's something."

Ichiro was basically left with just that after his talk with Asuka was cut short by his own attention span and Aaron mentioning about the dinosaur's controller and the like. When he turned back to talk to her, she was up and gone. That kind of made the young man think that he did something wrong...it was either he said something wrong oooooor she thought he was done talking when he spoke to Aaron.

...great going Adachi... he thought, mentally facepalming at this whole situation. Really hope I didn't upset her or anything...

"So, what rooms are you guys in? I'm on the top floor."

"O-Oh, uh... I... I think I was on one of the lower floors... maybe.."

"I'm on the lower floor. I was living there before the rest of you all, ya know. Well, if we're all moving there, we should do something special to commemorate today. Hey Sayuri! Do you think there's enough room to throw a welcoming party for everyone?"

"Mega duh! Who knew Terro would think of such a good idea! I'll help you set up, you can count on me Terro!"

Ichiro was now dragged back into the conversation between Aaron, Isami, and Terro, as he started rummaging through his bag to try and find the paper that told him where he was roomed up in...unfortunately...

Wait...where's the paper? Ichiro thought, looking through his bag as thoroughly as possible. Then something hit him: the paper was left on his desk back home. His hand hit his face as he sighed greatly. ...great...juuuuuuust great.

"...I...dunno actually where I'm roomed in...I...left that paper at home..." he admitted sheepishly, sighing before shrugging. "S-Still...a welcoming part might actually be a good idea I suppose." ...it would definitely at least give some of us time not to think about the incident...plus...probably get to know others a bit more.

Isami gave up trying to find his slip. He must have left it at home at some point. He was pretty sure he was on the lower floor though, and if he wasn't someone would correct him. Terro said he lived on the lower floor too, mentioning that he was there before anyone else. He then mentioned a party, which seemed to bring more people's attention to what they were talking about.

"A party?" Isami said. "That sounds like fun." He said, smiling, before turning to Ichiro.

"...I...dunno actually where I'm roomed in...I...left that paper at home..." he admitted sheepishly, sighing before shrugging. "S-Still...a welcoming part might actually be a good idea I suppose."

"Don't worry, I think I left my paper at home too." Isami said, shrugging. "So... when are we doing this?" Isami asked the group, tilting his head.

"Don't worry, I think I left my paper at home too. So... when are we doing this?"

"Today, probably." That made the most sense to Sayuri, at least. It would be the most welcoming of a welcome party if it was on the day of arrival, wouldn't it? Besides, quite a few people in the class seemed down with the idea. If all three of these boys, plus Ino, all pitched in, she'd be more surprised if it wasn't ready to go off today. During the talk of the party, Mike had left the room, presumably to call his parents. Sayuri's lips curled up into a small smile. She'd done her good deed for the day. It wasn't some life-saving act or anything like what everyone else was here for, but if nobody had said anything, Mike would probably be denied his dream(?) of becoming a hero.

The idea of it happening the way it would have didn't sit well with her.

"Although, the people just now coming to the dorms should unpack their things before we have a party."

I guess being number one does mean you can do anything, as long as it's within the law and morally sound.

Prize? "...got it. I should head back to my own class now. Thank you for your time." The comment about her and Mike being a thing seemed to go over her head at that moment, with her being more focused on remembering the messages to deliver to him and Terro, as well as the rest of 1-A. With a slight bow, Asuka turned, heading back into the hallway and making for her own classroom... only to spot one of her classmates. Mike, in fact. The girl half-heartedly raised a hand and waved.

"Good afternoon," she yawned. "Sorry about that. Just now, I was talking with Clark from 1-B, and she wanted me to tell you that anytime anyone in 1-A wants to spar with her, she's fine with that. She mentioned you specifically, too. And I also wanted to say, thank you for showing up back... back then. I don't think I ever got the chance to say anything like that."

Hadley listened intently to Fix, her face appearing gradually more drawn and grim as he spoke. She looked down at the gauntlets as he finished talking, taking a deep, rattling breath. Though they were just hunks of metal, they looked like eyes to her now; Watching, waiting to strike.

She eyed the arm stockings dubiously. "Yer... Yer havin' me on, right? No wat those'll..." She trailed off, defeated. Even she knew she couldn't fight with the gauntlets so poorly patched. Not when they could break open at any moment.

"All... Alrite'" she forced out, holding out her hands, her usually steady arm that had no trouble holding up the dense iron trembling visibly. "Let's... Let's give it a go, then. Wendigo, I..." She bit her lip, looking up at the hulking beast beside them. "You'll stop... it from gettin' outta hand, right?" she asked him seriously, eyes meeting his sunken, bestial gaze. "If I can't get the new ones on quick enough, you'll... You'll try?"

"Sure kid," He said with a sigh.  "Sure."

She took one last breath... And then flexed her hand inside the gauntlets, just the way she had been told to if they ever needed to be released. With a pneumatic hiss, four jets of air burst from the sides of each wristguard, appearing briefly in plain sight before dissipating as the gauntlets slipped off, pulled to the ground by their own weight and leaving Hadley's hands free. They were small, thin, her pianist's fingers very pale and weak-looking.

But Fix and Wendigo didn't get much of a look at them before they was darting through the air, Hadley frantically snatching one of the arm stockings out of Fix's grasp and forcing her arm into it as fast as she could. She was now breathing hard, fixed doggedly on the task before her, the two seconds it took to get the stocking on feeling like an eternity in an instant as Wendigo paced back and forth in the alleyway, legs spread in a pouncing stance as his eyes stayed locked on Hadley.

"funk's sakes," she hissed through her teeth, grabbing at the second one, yanking it onto her arm, fumbling it briefly in her haste. "sheet, sheet, sheet," she yelled, finally forcing it on and hearing a pneumatic hiss as the stockings tightened around her arms, bringing the familiar, though slightly more comfortable feeling the gauntlets brought to her hands: Safety.

She flexed her hands, fingers stretching out fully for the first time in weeks. "Gawd, tha' feels nice," she sighed, turning to look back at Fix. "How long ye figure til the others are-"

She froze, her eyes fixed on the air between her and the boy. Floating there was a small, thin trail of mist, but it was not normal-looking fog. This mist was blood red in color, and it was moving, winding through the air towards Fix-

"NO!"

With great force, Hadley lurched forward, shrieking, swinging her arm with so much force she wrenched her shoulder as her hand blasted through the mist, scattering it into nothingness. She continued lurching forward, throwing her arms around Fix and pushing him back along the alleyway, the boy knocked into the back wall as Hadley started shaking horrifically, her words shuddering as she started sobbing.

"I, I, I, I'm s-s-s-sorry!" Her words were barely intelligible, through her thick accent, her crying, and the fact that she was now only speaking some words in Japanese. She had slipped into a mix of her original English. "I d-d-didn't mean ta... Fix, I'm s-s-s-s-sorry, I didn't WANT it ta' h-happen!" She could barely stand up straight, staggering back as she released Fix and leaning against the wall of the alley, head thrown up to gasp for breath as she looked up at the sky, looking ragged.

She turned her head to see Wendigo, still shuddering from the shock of what had just happened. "Wendigo... When... When tha funk is this gonna end? I'm bloody SICK of it!" She shouted the last at him, not the usual angry shouting he was used to; This was clearly something else, something scared and vulnerable. Something afraid.

Mike

Before Mike's brain was able to come to a decision, Asuka had spotted him and gave half a wave as she walked over.

"Good afternoon," she yawned, causing Mike to yawn as well.

"Well, I wasn't exactly... available to thank or anything for a bit after," Mike replied, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "I feel like I should be apologizing, though. I think I just got in the way and that.... it's kind of my fault it ended the way it did. I'm really glad that you and Ino got out fine, just... I dunno. I guess I should go find Valerie and--" At this a loud buzzing could be heard from the phone in Mike's hand, and he looked over to see that it was his Dad calling, and what colour left in his face seemed to drain. "S-sorry, I need to take this."

He tapped the screen and held the phone up to his ear. ""Hey Dad... yeah no, sorry, I forgot about the timezones and-- no that's what I wanted to talk to you about. I don't want to go home. I know, I know it is, but-- if I want to be a hero I need to be prepared for things like that! I know! I just--"" Mike fell quiet for a moment, his face beginning to turn red and his breathing heavier and more intentional. ""But it's what I want to do! I've gotten so much better over these past weeks, and I think I can do really well! Please, just let me do this!"" Another pause and he seemed to calm down a bit more. ""Okay, just... tell her I said hi and to call me back. Okay, bye. Love you too.""

Mike hung up and let his arm drop to his side, letting out a long sigh before he realized that Asuka was still there. "Oh... sorry about that. That was my Dad just calling about.... calling me back about something I wanted to talk to him about."

It seems like everyone, well most of the class, was excited about throwing a welcome party, however, not everyone was here to agree to the party idea, even Sayuri became permissive to the idea though she sounded against it, Aaron also being one of them. Parties were never one of his favorite things as he would tend to fade into the crowd and end up leaving. "Actually, I wouldn't mind something small, like a 'meet and greet', nothing big. I want to adjust to dorm life tonight, and I have a feeling that some of us that aren't in the room don't want to be bothered with a giant party." Aaron got up from his desk as he started to pack up his belongings into his bag, then stopped as he let out a sigh as he began thinking that someone will drag him to it, or it might go into his room."Be that as it may, if y'all want to throw one, I wouldn't mind bringing something for it. The dorms have a kitchen, right? I can make something for it if you like, name it and I'll see what I can do about it, granted that we are given the ingredients for it."

He took out a notepad and pencil and wrote on the top everyone's names including those who weren't in the room even if they don't want to have a party, it can't hurt to ask; best to keep the party to one room instead of the entire building and beyond. Right next to his own name, he wrote 'Vanilla Brownies'. "So, what do you guys like? I mostly do bake goods and some sweets, but limit to one dessert, please."

"Actually, I wouldn't mind something small, like a 'meet and greet', nothing big. I want to adjust to dorm life tonight, and I have a feeling that some of us that aren't in the room don't want to be bothered with a giant party."

Sayuri nodded in agreement. If it were a class of regular kids, that would be one thing. However, normal kids these were not, and trouble seemed to have a habit of following 1-A around. It was getting to the point where Sayuri wasn't sure if the class itself was cursed or if this particular class had simply picked a bad year to join U.A. Vengeful spirits and exorcisms - all that supernatural mumbo-jumbo really - wasn't really her strong suit though. She knew a girl back home that was pretty into that stuff, but without her expertise available, Sayuri could only hope it was simply bad luck and that she wouldn't be cursed for the rest of her life just for getting put into this class.

"Be that as it may, if y'all want to throw one, I wouldn't mind bringing something for it. "Yakitori." Sayuri immediately typed. "Wait, scratch that. You aren't from around here, so maybe you don't know how to do it. If you can do something with chicken, that will work." Worst case scenario, Sayuri could probably do yakitori herself. If there was a grill somewhere. Come to think of it, she'd never checked; going to the nearest convenience store instead was way easier. I'll probably just keep going there. It's not far, and unless I'm misremembering, it's not like we're not allowed to leave school grounds ever. What sort of screwed-up school would lock its students in like that?

That could make for an interesting manga, come to think of it.

I think I just got in the way and that.... it's kind of my fault it ended the way it did. I'm really glad that you and Ino got out fine, just... I dunno. I guess I should go find Valerie and--" However, Mike didn't quite get to finish that sentence. His phone was ringing. Asuka waited as the transfer boy went through a brief call with what she was guessing was his father. She didn't understand most of it. "Oh... sorry about that. That was my Dad just calling about.... calling me back about something I wanted to talk to him about."

"Oh, it's fine. It must be tough having them both worry about you so much." Or at least, Asuka certainly hoped Mike's parents were worried. She knew her godmother sure was. She seemed hesitant about letting Asuka continue attending U.A. at all, but seemed fine allowing it. And it seemed the rest of 1-A was sitll attending too, at least for now. That was good. As awful as everything that happened at the tournament was, it would only sting all the harder if they'd lost classmates over it.

Kind of like 1-B did. "..."

The thought of somebody just losing their Quirk like that still tied her stomach up into a tight knot. It was an uncomfortable feeling, and she didn't even know the guy. It was tough to imagine how his classmates were taking it. It took her a moment to remember that there was still in fact still somebody else here, who she was having a conversation with. "Ah, sorry, I was a bit lost in thought. Have you been holding up alright lately?"

Terro tapped his chin in thought as he tried to think of what kind of food he'd want. He wasn't sure what he wanted. Honestly, he was happy with anything...

"Yakitori." Sayuri immediately typed. "Wait, scratch that. You aren't from around here, so maybe you don't know how to do it. If you can do something with chicken, that will work."

"And I'm okay with anything, just as long as it's edible...," Terro rubbed his head. "I've been on a very strict diet since I was a child, so I don't really know whatcha guys eat!" He said with a grin. He then stood up, stretching a little. "Well, I guess I should head out then! I'll set the tables and chairs up, then get some training done!" He waved to the class as he headed out the door, headed back to the dorm.

When he got outside of the school building, Terro stretched, groaning and sighing a bit. He supposed it was time to start that training he was talking about. He quickly took off his uniform top, bouncing in place and shaking his hands. He then willed the earth to come to him, it ground responding and sliding on top of his skin, quickly going down his pants.

He grinned when he finished, admiring the layer of armor he made on his body, similar to what he had in the tournament, except it only went to the parts of the body that would be covered by his clothes Now he could work on his endurance issues by constantly using his quirk. He slipped his shirt back on and headed to the dorm. Time to get set up the tables.

"So what...we doing this before or after we get our licenses?"

Akira sighed, looking a small distance down the hallway at Mike and Asuka. He knew just how much both of them went through, because of the decisions he made. When the villains attacked, he took charge, and everyone suffered for it. Not looking away from the two, he spoke quietly so they couldn't quite hear him. “We can't afford to wait. The distance in time between Kashyyyk and the festival attack was too small for comfort.” He turned back to Gin, his eyes glowing as if there were a spotlight inside his skull and those were the only points through which the light could escape. “We start tonight. We'll need to avoid peering eyes, but I know just the place.”

Rolling back into the classroom, he heard discussion of a party for those just moving in. It should keep everyone else decently distracted, especially since himself and Gin were far from known for their sociality. “Sorry, but I'll have to pass on this.
