VCR_CAT
Mike and parents "Finishing Move: Macross Buster." Mike watched, with as much attention as his squinted eyes could muster through the glaring light, as Akira had first smashed a large hammer down on Isami, then followed up his attack with a sky filled with bright missiles, all firing towards Isami and beating the snake druid into a brutal submission. When the dust cleared, Isami was revealed to be laying on the ground, hardly conscious. Mike's jaw clenched as his fist clenched tightly, his arms beginning to shake. He had to take a few deep breaths, reminding himself of the necessity of brutal force when it's needed for victory, but what Mike saw was almost too much for him. "Tomoaki sure is powerful," Asuka was the first to speak out. "Why didn't he do that in the first place though? Any ideas, you two?" Mike took a deep breath. "I don't know, maybe he needed to," he said, thinking back to his previous match. Could he not control too finely? Was he not that fast at using his quirk and couldn't afford to keep missing? "Or maybe he was showing off." Mike surprised himself at the amount of bitterness in his voice, and a low growl escaped his breath as he grew more frustrated with himself over what was going on. A hand gently laying itself on his shoulder pulled him out of his funk, however. ""Hey now, take a deep breath there, eh?"" Mike's father laughed. ""I know these things can feel a lil' serious. Now back in my day, hoo boy these ol' competitions weren't so big but they sure got heated! But I used t' have a good friend back in my school days, and we got matched up once and things got taken a lil' too far, and well..."" Mike's father coughed. ""Just remember to have fun a be a good sport, sport! And hey, if ya go against that guy there, you can still teach that hoser a thing or two without makin' things bad!"" Mike's father gave Mike a wink, who, in turn, couldn't help but laugh. ""Thanks Dad,"" Mike said sheepishly. ""Now don't you have somewhere to be, Michael?"" Jeannette chimed in. ""That's right! My match is next!"" Mike said suddenly. ""Thanks, I better get going!"" Mike ran up the stairs to the stands entrance, heading for the ready room to get set for his next match. "We better get going too, it was nice meeting you all!" Jeannette said to the other students, giving a short bow as she ushered her excitable husband up the stands as well. King K. Azo
Terro watched as the firework of lights went off, the Macross Buster filling the arena full of lights. It was a spectacle for sure, one sure to boost Akira's popularity with the crowds. However, that wasn't what was on Terro's mind. No, it was how was he supposed to defend against it. He wasn't sure a mound of earth could even stand up to it, let alone protect him from such a barrage. His mind raced for possible solutions, but he was coming up blank. He had to rely on his power more... something he had spent a lifetime doing the opposite of... could he do this? Goutetsu noticed his grandson's inner turmoil, but said nothing. It wasn't something the old man was able to help him with, being quirkless. The old man had to chuckle. He was old enough to remember when Quirks were considered rare, when the people that used them were thought to be nothing but rumors and the like. To think he was now watching a tournament of Quirks with his participating grandson... well, it was nothing his younger self would thought would be possible. He then noticed Sayuri was signing to him, asking how he knew sign language. With a chuckle, he decided to show off a bit.I had several students that were deaf, so I learned for their sakes. He signed to her as an explanation. It made the teaching process much easier, and allowed me to expand my horizons. "Grandpa, I'm going for a closer look," Terro suddenly spoke up as he stood up. "I'll see you again in a bit!" He waved before grabbing the back of the seat in front of him, vaulting over it and making his way farther down, trying to get past the people and as close to the arena as possible. He had to see all he could to try to learn all he could. "That boy," Goutetsu said with a chuckle, shaking his head. "Leaving his grandfather all alone to see the fights better? I swear," He then sighed. "Still, I suppose it's for the best. After those villains attacked your class, it would seem you all need to get stronger, as fast as you can,"
~Faytl~
"Can't believe it isn't THIS kid she wants me to keep tabs on." Dark hair flying back from the aftershock of Akira's Macross Buster even as far back as she was, a ruby-eyed girl stood at the top of the stadium, her gaze fixed on the arena below. She had been standing there since the day started, leaning against the wall, moving every once in a while to pace along the top of the nosebleeds. A few people had wandered past her, moving to seats and such, but they had taken one look at her resolute expression not to speak to her. She stood tall and fierce-looking, face pinched in an annoyed manner that had sat upon it all day. Her clothes were simple, a red shirt with a black vest over it, jeans and boots. Functional clothing, if not particularly flashy. Her hands were a different manner, or rather, what was covering them. A dull sheen of iron glinted in the rays of sunlight that managed to find their way to this corner of the arena. Two large metal hands, curled into fists, the size of basketballs, sat firmly over her own, which rested against the wall behind her. Many small dents and dull spots on the gauntlets spoke of their use, the fact that they had been used to strike many things evident. From the wrists thrailed thick iron chains, curling down and up behind her and into the backpack she carried. She looked down towards her jacket, into the inside pocket. "You see that shite?" she asked, the Irish lilt to her voice muted with her whisper. "I sure hope ya did; Right throwin' shapes, in' he? And you think Bloodstone's kid and Ground Pound are the ones we need to worry about? Please." - - - - - - - As Akira's match ended, Hadley swept her eyes over the crowd. Adachi Ichiro, the one she had dubbed "Ground Pound" had walked by her earlier, not noticing her in his desire to get to a seat. She had watched him descend into the stands, and had been about to follow when Akira's match had started. She had decided to watch more intently then, her purpose forgotten, especially since she wasn't expecting a match she was supposed to pay attention to for a few rounds. Akira had stuck out to her in the first round, with his apparent surrender cut short, and she was pleased to see her interest had been right. But back to the task at hand. This mission had strange priorities. She descended the steps, looking out for an empty seat near him. She found one eventually, sliding into the row behind as Adachi was talking to someone, catching his sentence in the middle. -"parents...they don't want anything to do with me. They don't like those with Quirks. A-And...when I developed mine...they..." As the woman who was with him clarified, Hadley felt her stomach sieze in an all too familiar knot. She averted her eyes from Adachi, looking towards the arena floor, but her eyes were seemingly fixed on nothing, as if seeing something only she could see. She blinked furiously, raising an arm to wipe away at the budding tears with a sleeve. In her distress, she wasn't as mindful of the giant gauntlet on her hand as she usually was, and it ended up knocking against the back of Sayuri's head. "Aw, shite," she gasped, suddenly brought back to reality by the dull thud of the heavy iron against soft human head, though this girl seemed to have a thicker head of hair than most to cushion the blow. "Right sorry bou' tha', lass, bit thick o' me not to pay attention with these things." She twisted her wrist, making sure the gauntlet hadn't been knocked loose. Naturally it hadn't; They were made to stay on for far stronger hits than that. But Hadley had to check. HAD to. She went as if to smooth the disheveled hair around Sayuri's head, then swore fluently and intensely, though most of it was English and not Japanese, as she pulled the giant gauntlets away from her head. "Man, right pain in the ass sometimes, these things, innit?" she asked irritably, folding her arms defensively and giving Sayuri an apologetic look that was tinged with annoyance, though it was largely at herself. What was she doing, thinking about that at a time like this? She shot Ichiro a resentful look furtively, berating herself in her mind.
Mr. Hyde
When the fight ended, Ino spread her fingers apart. Her hands were covering her eyes at this point, not wanting to watch the punishment that Isami was taking. Ino could feel the intensity of that last attack from the stands, the vibrations rattling the stands almost...it was shocking what lengths Akira went too just to win. However, his opponent was no slouch. In fact, Isami had surprised Ino with what he was capable of. He gave the new kid a run for his money! Ino cupped her hands around her mouth, and shouted towards the stage. "Good job Isami! Nice Fight!" She knew the pain of losing...but Isami didn't seem like the type to be bothered by it. "Tomoaki sure is powerful. Why didn't he do that in the first place though? Any ideas, you two?" "He sure is scary...that's for sure." Ino then scratched her chin. "Well...he probably didn't care...right? I mean did you see his entrance? That boy probably forgot he even had a match next. Sheesh...the nerve." ""That's right! My match is next!"" Mike said something in English, and Ino was barely able to put the words together coherently. She flashed the boy a shaky thumbs up, and smiled nervously. She hated that she wasn't good at speaking English. ""Fight-o! Win! Good-o luck!"" It was then she noticed someone she hadn't seen before moving among the 1-A students. A cute girl with giant metal gauntlets on her hands. The girl clumsily smacked Sayuri in the back of the head, but quickly apologized with a strange accent. Ino moved closer to the student, smiling as she made her way. When she finally was inches away from the girl, she smiled and poked her gauntlets. "Hey! Hey! Are you a transfer student??? I only ask 'cause we've been getting a lot of those recently....U.A. making a lot of wonky decisions this year...not that I think you're wonky or anything!" She laughed nervously. "I'm Ino Todoya! Who are you??" "His quirk...It's kind of like mine." Gin said, his hands clasped to his mouth. He had studied the fight thoroughly. No doubt this Akira guy was going to prove to be a hard obstacle to overcome...but everyone had their weaknesses. "I'll show him...mine's better in every way." "You know...it's really weird when you talk to yourself like that. And that tone...yikes! Creepy! Creepy! Totally Creepy!" Gin ignored the girl, and proceeded to run the fights against Akira in his head. Was there an upper limit to that Quirk? With that last attack...it really didn't seem like it. Would the boy toy with him as well, or underestimate him? Gin's teeth began to grin behind his lips. His fingers tightened around his hands. What was this feeling? Was he...no it couldn't possibly be. "You nervous?" He heard Erika say, almost purring the words. He looked towards her, as her face radiated with the essence of smug. "That's not the word I was looking for." Gin said, growling. "More along the lines of..." "Excited?" Goto interjected, flatly. "Tch. Don't be getting the wrong idea, stretch. I'm excited to pummel that cocky bastard straight into the ground. That's about it." Goto just shrugged in return. "Can't we just skip your kids, Suna? I really wanna see 1-B just beat the snot out of each other! I haven't got to see them go all out since I left them out in the middle of the ocean on the first day!" "We're going in order, Mako. Besides...I'm excited for this fight. I didn't know you were so eager to see all of your students up and out of the tourney!" "If you keep talkin' so much smack, sandman, we're gonna be in the next round!" "And I'll win...just like I did all those years ago." "WHY YOU!" The arena began to shift again, replacing the ruined stage with an entirely new one. The speakers around the stadium began to blare once more, Madam Mic's soft voice permeating the silence. "Will Mike Rosenfield and Aaron Strom please take to the Arena now!" As soon as both of the young men had centered themself on the stage, Mako and Suna would both give the signal. "BEGIN THE MATCH!" 👀 REP 👀
Isami laid on the ground, barely conscious of the world around him. He didn't even remember what had happened all that well - at one moment, he was somehow dodging his attack without a second thought, and then the first flash of light stung his eyes. Everything after that was a blur, and now he found himself lying on the floor. His body was aching all over; he was sure something had been broken, although he wasn't conscious enough to know what. Akira had said something to him, although he wasn't able to make it out as his eyes shut. He passed out, although there was a grin on his face - he had tried his best, and his best was better than he had expected. Isami found himself waking up; not on the floor of the arena where he had been, but rather on a bed. He sat upwards, noting that he was no longer in as much pain as he had been, although his sides still hurt. He was also still a bit dizzy, clutching his head as he got up a bit too quickly. As he was gathering his barrings, he heard a familiar voice. "Oh good, you're up!" It was Nurse Neko, who was sitting close by in what Isami assumed was the nurses office. She was smiling as she spoke, although her face slightly shifted to one of concern. "You should take it easy!" She lightly scolded, a bit of relief in her voice as she walked towards Isami. "You're still recovering, after all!" It was then that Isami noticed that he had bandaged around his body - moreso than usual, at least, and especially around his side. It still felt soar there, especially when he started to shuffle a bit in his seat. "...how long have I been out?" Isami spoke, turning to the nurse. He winced slightly as he did. "Not too long." She responded. "Actually, I kind of expected you to be out longer." She spoke moreso to herself, before getting a bit flustered. "N-not that I'd want you to be unconscious, of course! What I mean is... you took a rather harsh beating." She smiled at him, although concern seemed to creep on her face. Before he could respond, she quickly changed the subject, realizing she hadn't actually answered his question. "The fight after yours is about to start, if that gives you a frame of reference!" "Oh right, the tourney..." Isami spoke, shaking his head slightly. "I guess that means I lost my battle, huh?" He let out a sigh, although he still had a grin on his face. "Aw well, I gave it my all." "That's the spirit, nya~!" The nurse responded, lightly patting Isami on the shoulder. "You did rather well, especially at the end! That Akira boy has a rather powerful Quirk. You did well to last so long!" "Thanks, that means a lot." Isami said, before trying to get up. As he did, however, he felt another ping of pain course through him. "A-ah, Isami!" The nurse said, gripping a bit on his shoulder. "It's amazing enough as it is that you're up right now! You should rest - you can regroup with your friends later." She remarked, chuckling nervously. Weakly, Isami shook his head in agreement, before shifting back to laying down on the bed. The nurse pat his head as he laid on the ground. "You'll be better in no time, nya~!" She spoke, relief coming back to her voice before she got up, returning to what she was doing. Luckily, the bed happened to be near a window. And the clouds were rather intriguing today.
scooterulez
""Well, I guess that is as good as it is going to get, to say the least."" With only 2 minutes or so of watching Mike's last match, Aaron was partially ready for his fight with Mike. As he made his way down to the arena, he was contemplating about what he was to do with Mike's all-range attacks and how much of a disadvantage he is in this fight. He couldn't possibly attack him in close quarters without taking some major injuries, while long-range was more on Mike's side for more precise shooting, unlike shooting a bolt of lightning that just goes wherever it wants to. Planting a rod will help with conserving electricity as he shoots him, he has to make sure Mike is in the way of his rod to ensure getting hits. A majority of this will have to be played out by ear and luck. . . which I don't have sadly. A few minuted later, he reached the ground level on the side of Mako, the 1-B teacher, as he was in a lively conversation with Suna to even notice both Mike and Aaron. ""Just stay calm, stay focused, and always be alert."" Aaron muttered to himself as he was getting mentally prepped- "Hey! Speak up if ya got somethin' to say kid!" Apparently, Aaron was speaking a little loud and Mako heard him. Aaron shot a disapproving glare at Mako then shook it off and continued to focus. "Will Mike Rosenfield and Aaron Strom please take to the Arena now!" It wasn't much of a prep time before they were called up, but with a deep breath, Aaron walked up to the stage, putting on his headpiece, and confronted Mike as he walked on stage. If I have any chance of winning, I need to get close without getting injured and hopefully do the exact thing I did to Aina. . . I think? "BEGIN THE MATCH!" Super Chaos Sonic
Sounds like a tough time for both of you. I won't pry for the details "It's...it's alright, Sayuri..." Ichiro chuckled softly, as he rubbed his slinged arm some. "G-Gotta be more willing to just share that...y-ya know?" he said, noticing Terro heading off to get a better view of the fights that were going on. "That boy...Leaving his grandfather all alone to see the fights better? I swear. Still, I suppose it's for the best. After those villains attacked your class, it would seem you all need to get stronger, as fast as you can." Ichiro winced when Goutetsu reminded him of that small fact. The old man wasn't wrong though...they DID need to get stronger. Nevertheless, with his Quirk being in this much of a situation for him, even though he was starting to get to the point not to break anything, it needed to be a bit stronger. However, he couldn't ruminate much on this thought, as he heard a small clunk sound to where he saw a newcomer sitting behind him and accidentally hitting Sayuri in the head with what looked like a gauntlet. "Man, right pain in the ass sometimes, these things, innit?" He sat there looking at this newcomer. She wasn't someone he knew about in his class...probably a 1-B student? But that would've meant she wasn't privy to enter the tournament. "Uh...quite the fists you got there..." Ichiro mustered out, while mentally asking: "What kind of person just compliments a person's fists? C'MON ADACHI!!!" 1-B Chitter Chatter "Hey Aina! That guy that took you out is up next!" Casey said, his mouth full of popcorn as he sat back down behind Aina. The woman stared at Aaron and Mike entering the field as she rolled her eyes slightly. "Won by a technicality...just because I was foolish to keep my metal marbles with me. And I didn't take into consideration his damn stick." "Come cry to me when you lose on a technicality of your own clone." Shin grumbled, shaking his head. "Still think that call was bullshit. But, it is what it is. And this match, might actually be an interesting one at best." "Yeah, no kidding!" Casey chimed in. "That green energy kid. You saw the match right? Jeez...that one was a hell of a match. Him and that other kid were just going at it like Rock Em-Sock Em Robots! Hell!! The other kid got beat to hell in that!" "Well, at this point, whoever can take out 'Sparky' over there has my vote." Aina huffed, as she moved and shoved her hand into Casey's tub of popcorn and stole some of it. "KICK SPARKY'S ASS!!!!"
Yui
I had several students that were deaf, so I learned for their sakes. It made the teaching process much easier, and allowed me to expand my horizons. He's a teacher. Not one of U.A.'s though. The question of where this old man worked itched at Sayuri's mind for a brief moment, while Terro was more keen on running off to watch the fights up close. Only for a brief moment though, before something much more physical found its way up her priorities. Something had hit her in the back of the head. Something big, heavy, and metal. Promptly turning around to see what had hit her, she was met with a girl with big metal gauntlets. "Aw, shite. Right sorry bou' tha', lass, bit thick o' me not to pay attention with these things. Man, right pain in the ass sometimes, these things, innit?" Her voice was heavily accented, to the point where Sayuri could barely understand what she was saying. She couldn't have been from anywhere in Japan, right? She seemed to mean no harm though, and smelled faintly of watermelon. She probably wouldn't understand sign language. Sayuri took a hand to her forearm, pressing keys on the device fastened around her arm. "I'm not injured; everything is okay." "Uh...quite the fists you got there..." "They're impressive. Are they related to your Quirk?" Sayuri asked."I don't know, maybe he needed to. Or maybe he was showing off." "He sure is scary...that's for sure. Well...he probably didn't care...right? I mean did you see his entrance? That boy probably forgot he even had a match next. Sheesh...the nerve." After a brief exchange between Mike and his parents, the former - upon realizing his match was coming up - left. His parents then excused themselves, only for Ino to get distracted by what Asuka could only fathom was a transfer student. She'd never seen the girl before at least, and Asuka was pretty confident she'd be able to remember those giant metal fists if she saw them before. Knowing Ino, she'd probably be following that girl around for a while. I guess I can go see if Kobayashi is alright after that fight. That finisher was pretty impressive. And so, Asuka got up from her seat, and started her way toward the infirmary. It was a bit of a longer walk than she'd expected, but she was here. Asuka let herself in, glancing around. There were a couple other students here and there, but nobody Asuka recognized. Until she found Isami, on a bed by the window. Asuka took a seat next to the bed. "Hello," she started rather awkwardly. "Are you feeling alright after that fight? It looked like Tomoaki really did a number on you."
VCR_CAT
MikeBGM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APfOOqVZAdw Michael took in a deep breath, and exhaled, his voice shaking as he did so. For all of the competitions he had ever participated in, he was always part of a team; a member of a greater group of people all working together for the common goal. Standing at the other end of the arena, he felt an anxiety that he never really experience in any other competition. These solo events were an entirely different world, and as the match was soon starting, he couldn’t help but feel he had already made it farther than he ever deserved to. The doors to his side of the arena opened and the announcer blared his name. Stepping out into the arena, he would pause and double check all of his gear was on correctly. For this match, the only difference he could make was opting for the hard-rubber balls for use with his gauntlet cannon rather than the taser balls. The least he could do was simply not assist the opponent, despite how much less of an impact these would have when fired. Before the anything started, Mike made sure to charge his suit full, lights and lines along the red material and white plates glowing bright, neon green. "BEGIN THE MATCH!" As soon as the match begun, Aaron quickly unhooked one of his batons and got into a defensive position to prepare for what Mike might do. At first, Mike tensed his muscles and got ready to dash forward, but he soon remembered what Aaron’s first match looked like. He paused, and noticed Aaron stood on the defensive. Knowing his quirk, Mike decided that playing it safe might be the best route to start with. Reaching into the back of his belt, Mike took out one of the hard rubber balls. “I’m not just a one-trick pony,” Mike said with a smile nobody else could see from behind his helmet. “So get ready!” Mike gripped the ball and sent a small blast of force into his wrist, activating the bracer and causing it to extend with a flash. He aimed the small cannon at Aaron and took a breath. “Emerald Shot!” Mike shouted. The muzzle of the bracer flashed green and the hard-rubber ball was sent streaking in Aaron’s direction, right for his center-of-mass. Aaron dodges the shot with ease. “I expect nothing but the best!” Aaron started to fill his current baton with electricity “However, I would expect something different from your previous fight!” With baton in hand, Aaron slammed the hilt into the ground, cementing it in place. Aaron then unhooked his second baton and rushes towards Mike. Mike mulled over a number of options, and his first instinct was to jump high into the air, but then remembered lightning and wondered if that was how electricity worked, easily striking things in air, but then he remembered that things needed to be grounded in order to complete a circuit, or was that he accomplished with putting the one baton into the ground? While going over his options, Aaron was close to catching up and Mike soon remembered how Aaron won his previous match and went with his first option. Flooding his suit with force, Mike sent a strong blast through the bottoms of his feet and his jetpack, launching him high into the air. However, Mike only gave so much time for reaction, and as he hit a good height in the air, he shifted his force to fire himself back down as quickly as possible in a bright, green streak. “EMERALD METEOR!” Mike shouted mid-flight, prepared to release the rest of his energy before the impact to both save him the crash, cause damage, but also get out of there as quickly as he could. “Oh! That’s new!” Aaron hurried to get out of the way of the incoming Mike Missile. As Aaron lept, he felt the impact of Mike’s attack pushed Aaron towards where Mike was originally standing but kept sliding near the edge. With other baton, he slammed it into the ground to stop his momentum, but dislocated his right shoulder for a few seconds. Dang it, not my good arm, but don’t rest! Aaron quickly got up pointed a finger gun at Mike with his right hand, with left arm supporting, charged his fingertip. Then mouthing the word BANG, shot a bolt of electricity. Mike saw the finger pointed at him, and adrenaline took over. The points that released the energy for his movement were focused mostly on forward, backward, upward and downward movement. Employing better lateral applications was something he would need to talk to the support department about. The best that Mike could do was release another upward burst, launching him high in the air once again. A bolt of electricity fired from Aaron’s fingertip, lancing to the baton he had just slammed into the ground. “So, what are you, a discount Gin now?” Mike said playfully. “Why don’t you find out?” Aaron fired back, and swung his arm around to point at the descending Mike. Mike felt another surge of panic, and as he landed he was forced to go on the move once again, as another bolt of electricity lanced past. The air crackled with electricity, and Mike could feel the hair on the back of his neck standing on-end. He glanced down at the bar at the bottom of his helmet, and saw that he had been too frivolous in the past few moments. Releasing a few more bursts to charge the meter, Mike could start to feel the hints of physical strain from pushing himself too much. Running and dodging like this wasn’t going to last; he needed a new plan. Mike looked at the batons stuck in the ground, realizing that Aaron must not be able to fire the electricity around willy nilly. He had to do something about them. Mike smirked, gripping another hard-rubber ball in his right hand. This wasn’t going to be an easy fight, but it was going to be a good one. (GigaDrillBreaker)
As his attack hit Isami, Akira could hear nearly everyone in the crowd around him go silent. It made sense, really. From what he had seen of previous round, his Macross Buster was on an entirely different level from the combat they all had seen earlier. Though he hit Kobayashi with nowhere near the force output he could, in an attempt to spare him serious injury, the attack definitely would have looked spectacular, and the silence surrounding him as the dust cleared only served to prove what he knew they were all feeling.Fear.It was moments like this that Akira always seemed to question how different his life could have been. His quirk was the most powerful one he had seen so far in his life. And yet, time and again, he saw others trying to climb upward toward his level. The Dragon jabroni. Asuka. Even Isami, who lacked presence to the point that Akira was surprised there was a fight whatsoever. He had met so many who sought to overcome their weaknesses, a strength that he couldn't relate to at all. Power was a burden. Even when he did his best to show restraint, to tightly hold the reins on his quirk so as to not inflict irreversible damage, he could feel thousands of eyes staring down at him with fear. Fear that he could only begin to understand. Contemplating how it must feel to be in their shoes, he felt the faintest of memories tugging at the back of his mind. To call it a memory would hardly be accurate, though. He recalled a split second of desperation - when he truly believed he would die. A moment where he felt the drive to push beyond his own limits. What had happened that his mind was trying to repress? Before he could reflect on the feeling any longer, the crowd erupted into applause. He couldn't say how long the fearful silence had lasted, but he knew it couldn't have been more than a few seconds. Looking back over his shoulder, he saw his opponent hoisted up to be carried off the battlefield. Though he seemed to be unconscious by this point, he wore a smile. And exhausted one, but a smile nonetheless. What feeling was Isami feeling that Akira couldn't comprehend?Turning forward once again, he stepped up on to a hard light platform in front of him, as he slowly hovered back up to the seats. Gently brushing dust off of his hoodie, he scanned the stands. Recognizing the support item on her back, he could see Asuka walking away to the indoor portions of the arena. He had planned to speak to her in anticipation of his next fight, but it seemed that would have to wait. Having reached the bottom of the steps through the tiered seating, he turned to see the karate guy from his class, who had apparently run down to get a better view. He didn't look afraid. If anything, he looked excited. But before Terro could say a word, Akira began walking up the steps. It wasn't long before he reached a large group of his classmates, including the dog, the loudmouthed girl, and the one who fought Mike earlier. Maybe learning names wouldn't be the worst idea. There was also another girl, who he was fairly certain he hadn't met before. She wore large metal gloves, and seemed to be shooting glances at him as he briefly inspected her. Weird. In any case, there was something he wanted to know, and just because Asuka wasn't present didn't mean he would be content without finding out. He turned his attention toward the talkative girl, with the vibration quirk.“Hey-” Akira stopped his sentence abruptly, realizing he knew neither her name nor hero name, before deciding to use a moniker he at least knew she would recognize, “er, Vibrator. Could I pull you away? There is something I wanted to ask you about.”
Mr. Hyde
The girl with large metal hands didn't seem to be too interactive...she hadn't even bothered to introduce herself after Ino! How rude! She pouted, not liking the fact that she was being ignored. The next fight had started, but Asuka had already gotten up from the stands, presumably to go visit Isami in the infirmary. She thought she might as well do the same, although she really wanted to stay and support her next two classmates. They'd probably do their best without her cheering them on anyways! She got up from her seat, and started making her way towards the stairs, when a voice made her jump. “Hey-er, Vibrator. Could I pull you away? There is something I wanted to ask you about.” Ino turned around with a sour expression on her face. It irked her how this kid was so nonchalant about this whole thing. "My name...is INO!" She said, placing her hands on her hips. "I-N-O!" She made sure to enunciate the exact letters. She put one arm down, letting it rest on her thigh, whilst the other remained on her hip. She took a deep breath in and out, realizing that she was getting a beat heated. A lot of emotions had been swirling around in her head today, and she could feel herself start to vibrate intensely. She wouldn't let her emotions get the better of her. Instead, she looked Akira dead on and half-smiled. "So, what's your question? Do you mind if we walk and talk? I want to visit Isami in the nurse's office!" She looked inside the hallway that would leadto the innards of the stadium. "I know you need visitors after a loss like that..." Ino looked back at Akira. Swiftly, she stuck a finger out at him before he could reply. "If it's a confession, it had better wait until the end of this thing!" Gin eyed Akira as he made his way back to the stands the same way he had left them. Even he had the sense to use the halls provided to enter the stage. That way, all eyes were on you...ready to show everyone what you're made of. If you just jump from the stands, they don't know it's you who's going to fight...you could've been some poor sap trying to interrupt the games. "Idiot." He groaned. "Idiots sure get far in this tournament, huh?" He heard Erika giggle beside him. It prompted him to scoot away from her a couple of inches. The next match had started, and it seemed to be pretty even at first. Aaron's reaction times proved to be far more than he expected...that rubber pellet should've pegged him from that distance, but he managed to dodge it with ease. After another exchange with Mike, Aaron was pushed back, and retaliated with....wait a minute...was that.... "Ew...that boy has poor taste." Erika said with a hand over her mouth, peering over at Gin. Gin's eyes shook with annoyance. He jumped up from his seat and grabbed the rails, rattling them intensely. "GET YOUR OWN STYLE, YOU DAMN LOSER! IF YOU WANT, I CAN SHOW YOU HOW IT'S REALLY DONE! AFTER YOU LOSE!!!!!!" Erika and Goto looked on the display of anger with a bit of shock. Goto couldn't help but look at Erika, then to Gin, and then back to the girl. He shrugged. "You have poor taste too."
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Having ran a couple laps Valerie knew that the next match should be starting soon. While she ran she thought about the previous match that she had witnessed. Isami certainly surprised her. She had gotten the impression that he wasn't all too...good at fighting. He lost, yes, but she couldn't help but appreciate the mental fortitude displayed. The winner on the other hand...he was strong. But Valerie had no other thought but that she wanted to beat him down. Everything about him felt...insulting. If she had the kind of power he did... No, her power was more than enough. And she'd prove it in the finals. With that thought she entered the nearest viewing room. She was in a different room from before, not having bothered to double back to the one she had watched the previous match, and she decided not to close the door. The next match was...Mike and Aaron. Aaron was the one who beat one of her classmates. Painfully easily as well. So she decided to focus more on him at first. She had to figure out which of these two would move on. And from then figure out who would win from there against Captain Sunglasses. Because that was who she'd face in the final match. The start of the fight didn't give her much concern. Electricity would be pretty easy for her to handle, she felt, and...she had a feeling this Mike guy wouldn't be able to get to the finals even if he won. Valerie could get behind his fighting style. It was aggressive and full of spirit. But would he be able to adapt to whatever Sunglasses could pull out? Valerie placed a hand on her hip and leaned to the side, a grin on her face. This was surprisingly exciting.
👀 REP 👀
"Hello," Isami nearly jumped, having nearly fallen asleep while daydreaming. He turned to see who had come in to see him, wincing slightly as his body shifted. He was greeted by Asuka, who had taken the seat next to the bed he was laying on. "Are you feeling alright after that fight? It looked like Tomoaki really did a number on you." Isami nodded, yawning. "Yep, I'm alright! A bit beat up, but nothing that time can't heal!" He said confidently, a smile on his face. His smile seemed to shrink slightly, although he was still smiling as he spoke. "Truth be told, I thought I'd end up a lot worse off when the barrage of light struck me..." He chuckled somberly, staring off at the distance towards the door. Snapping out of it, he turned to Asuka, wincing slightly as he did. "Thanks for checking up on me... it means a lot."
~Faytl~
Hadley flicked her eyes over to Ichiro. Her gaze was fierce, unflinching as she appraised him up-close for the first time. Her face was set in a scowl, the brief embarrassment gone, already forgotten. As he spoke up, her eyes narrowed. She leaned forward a bit, folding her arms into a crossed position, her gauntlets flanking her arms like guard dogs. "What kind o' thing to say is that?" she asked flatly. "You some kinda daft idiot?" Her Japanese was horrible, even this simple sentence littered with slightly off pronunciation. Her 'o' sounds in particular were drawn out, awkward. Not that she seemed to notice; It was pretty clear that Japanese wasn't her first language just from the first few sentences she had uttered. But her glare did not falter at these trips in her language, she called Ichiro an idiot with complete confidence. Which made her reaction to Sayuri's question all the more awkward. "Eh?" she asked, blinking, taken out of her intimidating glare by the girl's speech device. "Not able to talk normal, eh?" she asked, looking suddenly pensive as she lowered her crossed arms, drawing her hands away from the two. Her face grew angry again quickly, but there was a different energy to it now. She was now more irritated than incredulous. "Just toss that question out all the time, do ye?" She snapped at Sayuri. "You Hero course guys think you're entitled to knowin' my Quirk, do ye?" She held up a gauntlet, sunlight glinting off the iron surface. "If ye MUST know, I MADE these; Bloody meant for strong louts like you, wouldn't ye reckon?" she asked, turning her attention back to Ichiro. "Testin' these; Makin sure they ain't gonna fall off easy, for someone who CAN'T break his own arms, he's not quite daft enough to do that." The implied insult was directly followed up with a deliberate one. "Bloody careless, hurtin' yourself like tha'." "GET YOUR OWN STYLE, YOU DAMN LOSER! IF YOU WANT, I CAN SHOW YOU HOW IT'S REALLY DONE! AFTER YOU LOSE!!!!!!" Hadley's attention was briefly drawn from an outburst in the stands, relatively close by. She drew her vision off to see a boy with blue hair shouting into the arena, waving a fist as he shouted angrily. The other one, she thought, frowning. "Who's tha loud prick over that way?" she asked carelessly. An undercurrent of scorn was in her voice, the same tone she had used just a moment ago when she had insulted Ichiro. As she turned her attention back to Ichiro and Sayuri, she realized the one from last match, Akira, was near them now. She immediately scanned him over, as he asked for the help of some girl. As he did, she took in how careless he seemed, not knowing her name, utterly relaxed... And with all that power, too. Her teeth ground in her skull as she looked at the guy, and she felt her hands begin trembling inside her iron gauntlets. She couldn't help glaring at him full force, if only briefly. Something about this guy... She hated it. She knew what it was, who was she kidding? The utter nonchalance of a walking potential holocaust in front of her? The feeling was resentment. "And that one, too, come to think of it," she added, not being particularly quiet with her question. Her entire body felt tense, like a coiled spring. If Akira heard her, he heard her, she decided in the span of a second. "The hell does he think he is, actin' all cool after droppin' a bloody bomb on a guy? Bit of a Holy Joe, inn' he?" While Sayuri and Ichiro had likely never heard the term 'Holy Joe' before, Hadley's aggressive tone of voice made it's negativity all too clear. (GigaDrillBreaker)
Akira was somewhat amazed by how violently Ino reacted. A light hum came from her entire body as she shook back and forth, having trouble containing her own emotions. All things considered, it was difficult even for Akira to keep track of what she said as he was distracted by Gin getting angry over someone using a similar attack to his. Seeing him react in anger always amused Akira. “I have trouble with knowing the names of strangers. Everyone has their character flaws, just as you seem to have trouble with controlling your quirk.” As he spoke he rose a hand to vaguely gesture at Ino’s entire body, highlighting her emotional turmoil made visible. She made an offer to walk and talk on her way to visit some person named Isami, whom Akira assumed he had just beaten, but before he could accept, he was interrupted by the girl with the gloves."And that one, too, come to think of it," she seemed to be a very angry person, and angry at Akira, no less. She ought to fit in well. "The hell does he think he is, actin' all cool after droppin' a bloody bomb on a guy? Bit of a Holy Joe, inn' he?"Akira sighed, turning his attention away from Ino to get a better look at this girl. Her hair was dark, and her eyes were red. The gloves on her hands were particularly interesting to him. They looked heavy, as well as durable. They would add a lot more power to any attack. Turning his attention back up to her eyes, he noticed she was glaring directly at him. He lazily turned his body toward her, cracking a small smile, “If you thought that was excessive, you'd be amazed if you realized just how much I held back.”Ignoring anything else the gauntlet girl had to say to him, he turned to continue walking up the steps, beside Ino.As frustrated as he was that the conversation was to be cut short by her destination, this was something Akira had to know. He reached toward her, lightly grabbing hold of her arm to stop her from walking, “When the villains attacked your class- er, our class, you all went several minutes before help from Pro Heroes arrived. I understand that there were a few with you, but not enough to protect you all. From what I understand, only Ichiro sustained major injury. I think we can agree that not everyone in your class is well-suited to combat,” once again, he gestured toward Ino as a whole, “at least, not yet, and even still you all made it through. As far as I can tell, you got through the attack relatively unharmed. I have an idea of how strong those villains were, and it just doesn't add up.”“What happened in Kashyyyk?”
Mr. Hyde
As Ino began walking away, she could feel a tugging at her arm. She gave a quick glance back to Akira, who she could see was the one latching onto her. She rang off a nervous laugh. Maybe it was going to be a confession after all...even after she told him not to so soon! However, his tone wasn't like that of a nervous lover's...rather inquisitive and serious. “When the villains attacked your class- er, our class," She began to tremble. "You all went several minutes before help from Pro Heroes arrived. I understand that there were a few with you, but not enough to protect you all. From what I understand, only Ichiro sustained major injury." "No...please...I don't want to remember." She thought to herself. Her stomach was churning, getting tighter. She started to vibrate even more intensely than before. Combining the two feelings put her on the verge of vomiting all over Akira. The handrails next to the two began to shake as well. Images flashed through her mind. Suna, lying in a pool of his own blood. Dr. Atomic, coming to save them all. And then him... "Hey...you don't mind if you lend me a hand do you? I know you're good for it." His voice rang in her ears...the sound of crunching and gnawing. "I think we can agree that not everyone in your class is well-suited to combat. at least, not yet, and even still you all made it through. As far as I can tell, you got through the attack relatively unharmed. I have an idea of how strong those villains were, and it just doesn't add up.” And then the question was asked...the one she thought she was done answering. The one she never wanted to hear again. “What happened in Kashyyyk?” Ino's stomach dropped, as she ripped her arm away from Akira's grasp. In turn, she took a hold of his wrist, and ran into the stadium's hallway. She took the both of them somewhere secluded, near a pair of restrooms a fair ways away from the entrance to the stands. She stared at the wall for a couple of seconds, trying to figure out a way to talk about it. She really didn't want to answer the question..but Akira was their classmate now, right? He had a right to know what had happened that day. She was still vibrating, but not as intensely as before. She gripped her arm, trying to calm herself down. A deep breath in and out. Then she turned around to face him. "It was a field trip...it was supposed to be fun." Her voice started to shake now. "We had combat practice against a faux villain...Double Dragon...but things went South extremely quick. Three villains showed up...Wendigo, Masque...and another man with a strange thing on his stomach. Double Dragon, Blaze Bone, and Suna Sensei tried to protect us...but they were dispatched of rather quickly. So...to protect our classmates, we tried to fight them ourselves. I mean...we couldn't do much...it was a bunch of greenhorns versus some pretty nasty, and trained, bad guys. They wouldn't hesitate to kill us...and I knew that. I was so scared." Ino tightened her grip around her arm. "That monster...Wendigo...he...he ate Suna's arm...right in front of us." She didn't realize, but she was now starting to choke on her words. Tears had started to well up in the corners of her eyes. "Everyone did their best...but if it hadn't been for the heroes that came to rescue us...we would all be dead." Dr. Atomic's smile flashed in her mind. "And then the explosion happened...that's all I remember after that. The rest is a blur." She wiped her eyes, and looked at the boy. "That's what happened in Kashykkk." She sniffled a bit, before smiling halfheartedly. "Now that that's out of the way, I'm going to go see Isami. You can come if you want...too be honest, I'm not quite sure how he'll handle seeing you." Ino scratched her head, and laughed. "Actually...It's Isami. He'd probably be happy either way!" Yui
"Yep, I'm alright! A bit beat up, but nothing that time can't heal!" Well that was a relief. He definitely looked better than Asuka imagined somebody would look after that attack. Perhaps it had to do with how small of a snake Isami could become? Or perhaps Akira's attack wasn't powerful so much as flashy? The latter was a possibility she liked to consider, but ultimately, it didn't feel like anything more than just wishful thinking. It must have been something on Isami's end in that case. She had to admit, Asuka didn't know Isami could put up as good of a fight as he did. "Truth be told, I thought I'd end up a lot worse off when the barrage of light struck me... Thanks for checking up on me... it means a lot." "Of course. It's my responsibility as your classmate, especially after an attack like that. It's good to see that you're feeling okay.""Just toss that question out all the time, do ye? You Hero course guys think you're entitled to knowin' my Quirk, do ye? If ye MUST know, I MADE these; Bloody meant for strong louts like you, wouldn't ye reckon? Testin' these; Makin sure they ain't gonna fall off easy, for someone who CAN'T break his own arms, he's not quite daft enough to do that. Bloody careless, hurtin' yourself like tha'." She got defensive about her Quirk awful fast, especially considering she called us out for being in the Hero class of all things. Could it be that... "Who's tha loud prick over that way? And that one, too, come to think of it. The hell does he think he is, actin' all cool after droppin' a bloody bomb on a guy? Bit of a Holy Joe, inn' he?" Holy Joe? What did that even mean? It must have been a phrase from wherever this iron-fisted girl came from, because Sayuri had definitely never heard anything quite like that. Akira said something about how much he held back, which also piqued Sayuri's interest, but she was more focused on the girl she'd never seen before right now. As he and Ino - when did she even get here? - took off, and things quieted back down with the group of students Sayuri found herself with, she was able to pose her next question to the unknown girl. "You were very defensive about your Quirk when I asked, and calling us 'Hero course guys' implies you're in the Support class. This is just a guess, but could it be that you actually don't have a Quirk?" Not that there was anything wrong with being Quirkless, of course. Sayuri knew plenty of people growing up that didn't develop Quirks, and they were just the same as anyone else. She was a bit jealous of their normal, non-padded feet, but as she thought about that more, that probably applied to just about everyone who didn't have the same Quirk as her, and even some people who did. King K. Azo
Terro watched the fight with extreme interest, enthralled by what he seeing. He ignored the crowd he pushed through, ignored cries of indignation and fury to focus squarely on the fight. It seemed that Mike had some sort of buster that fired a projectile of bright green. It was easily dodged however, and the two exchanged more moves, before finally Aaron fired off an attack that looked... familiar. "GET YOUR OWN STYLE, YOU DAMN LOSER! IF YOU WANT, I CAN SHOW YOU HOW IT'S REALLY DONE! AFTER YOU LOSE!!!!!!" Gin roared, which caused Terro to chuckle. It seemed people were drawing on the ideas of others to improve themselves. Terro thanked the deities that this was a thing that was a constant. That really would send his world tumbling if it wasn't.Still, Terro didn't feel like he was close enough to the action. These stands kept him pretty far away, but he also knew that going to close would probably get him in trouble. So, he decided to do the best thing he could. He grabbed the side and vaulted over, landing on the ground and sitting against the wall. He had a good view here, and he was far away enough that he shouldn't get in trouble. He hoped. "And that one, too, come to think of it... The hell does he think he is, actin' all cool after droppin' a bloody bomb on a guy? Bit of a Holy Joe, inn' he?" While Sayuri and Ichiro had likely never heard the term 'Holy Joe' before, Hadley's aggressive tone of voice made it's negativity all too clear. Goutetsu had been quiet, listening to this girl go on. He had no idea who she was, and it seemed neither did anyone else. Her accent was one he had heard before, but not too often, and he always confused Scottish and Irish accents. He felt bad about it every time, but he just didn't know. "You were very defensive about your Quirk when I asked, and calling us 'Hero course guys' implies you're in the Support class. This is just a guess, but could it be that you actually don't have a Quirk?" Sayuri wrote. Goutetsu stroked his chin as he was thinking. "Forgive an old man, but I'm not too familiar with the superhero culture," He said. "What is the Support Class? Is that where they train those... oh, what are they called...?" He stroked his beard some more before snapping. "Sidekicks! That's it,"
Super Chaos Sonic
"What kind o' thing to say is that? You some kinda daft idiot?" Oh good...she thinks so too...good grief. Ichiro mentally facepalmed, just clamming up. "They're impressive. Are they related to your Quirk?""Just toss that question out all the time, do ye? You Hero course guys think you're entitled to knowin' my Quirk, do ye? If ye MUST know, I MADE these; Bloody meant for strong louts like you, wouldn't ye reckon?" "H-Hey...she didn't mean anything bad by that." he said, trying to help Sayuri out...only to have this girl get on his case again. Oh joy... "Testin' these; Makin sure they ain't gonna fall off easy, for someone who CAN'T break his own arms, he's not quite daft enough to do that. Bloody careless, hurtin' yourself like tha'." He fell silent again at the comment that was made. It was obvious, even though he had no clue who this woman was, that even she knew that he was being careless using his Quirk. He let out a small sigh, before nodding in acknowledgement, as Sayuri and this girl kept talking somewhat. Until Goutetsu spoke up... "Forgive an old man, but I'm not too familiar with the superhero culture. What is the Support Class? Is that where they train those... oh, what are they called...? Sidekicks! That's it." Ichiro looked at Goutetsu, smiling a little, trying not to snicker as bad, but along side with him...Rei was laughing. "Not exactly, Goutetsu sir." Rei shook his head, laughing some. "From what I read online when me and Ichiro applied for him to go to U.A., the Support Class is more along the lines of...hmmm how to put it...from what I can tell, the Support Class is more along the lines of those providing heroes in training with equipment, such as costumes and gear...just pretty much giving them as much support as they can give their fellow students." He let out a small chuckle, before nudging Goutetsu's arm. "Sidekicks...well, your thinking of something more akin to say...Rodent and Living Wood...yikes...almost forgot how cringey most hero's names are..." scooterulez
Aaron bent down and grabbed the baton closest to him, uncemented it from its place of holding and pointed it right at Mike. “My finger pistols aren’t working as well, let’s try this instead!” Tiny sparks came off of the baton as Mike grabbed another ball, then with a push of a button, electricity from the first baton shot a stream of lighting towards Aaron, with Mike in the middle of it. The moment Aaron pointed the baton at Mike, there was really only one thing it could mean. Diving to the side, Mike felt a bolt of electricity wash overhead, licking at his body as he only just barely made it out of the way of the main shock. However, this wasn’t to get away scott free, and even as his brain told his body to stick the landing of his dodge-roll, his muscles refused to obey and he found himself tumbling to the ground instead. Mike gave himself no room to rest from the attack, however, and pushed himself to a kneeling position as fast as he could, extending his gauntlet-bracer into a cannon over the rubber ball once more. However, this time, Mike aimed for the second baton still stuck in the ground, letting the shot fire with a loud “whump”. The ball shot out from a muzzle flash of brilliant green, slamming into the baton and jarring it from the ground. The baton skittered a few feet, but this wasn’t enough. Charging his suit and letting out a burst of energy, Mike shot forward towards the baton as fast as he could, and the moment he reached the weapon he proceeded to slam the inside of his foot against the metal rod, sending it flying out of the ring. “I think that’s enough of that!” Mike said, taking a moment to catch his breath as he turned to see where Aaron was in all of this. Just as Mike turned, Aaron appeared in front of him and delivered a mighty punch to Mike’s gut causing him to gasp for air. Before Mike could retaliate, Aaron quickly grabbed his legs and flipped him on his back and started to spin him like an Olympic hammer thrower. After about 4 good spins, Aaron let him go, pretty close to the ground but enough to keep him airborne towards where Mike kicked his previously cemented baton outside the ring. Aaron quickly pulled out another finger gun and fired about 5 shots at Mike. Mike tucked his knees in as he flew, and let out a large burst of energy below and behind him. The combined force sent him upwards, above the bolts of electricity that fired in his direction. Playing elusive and clever wasn’t getting him anywhere. Besides, if he could beat Ichiro in the close-range department, then Aaron should be no problem! Just not too close… He recharged his suit quickly and used the energy-jets on his back and legs to control his fall and keep his movements erratic. He landed close by and extended his palms to release another strong explosion of energy. The range was wide and strong, this wasn’t some punch that could be dodged or parried easily, and even as Aaron backed off to reduce the impact of the energy blasts, Mike pressed forward his speed and gave no opening as Aaron was forced closer and closer to the arena’s edge. As the energy in Mike’s suit got low, he was forced to recharge it thanks to his excessive use of it, and as the match got on he could feel the wear of exhaustion from using his power too much, but at this range… “It’s over,” Mike announced, charging up another large blast to send Aaron flying off the arena’s edge. Throughout the match, Aaron noticed how long it took Mike to charge each attack and was planning according to those charges. However, it wasn’t working as well with long range or close range, and this last attack would seem to do Aaron in. As soon as Mike started to charge, as much as Aaron didn’t want to use it, Aaron lifted his arm and shot out one of his tasers and it latched onto Mike’s leg, piercing through the suit and into his skin. “You’re right.” Just a few milliseconds before Mike released his blast, electricity jolted through Mike body causing his arm to bend away from Aaron, only slightly, but enough that some audience members feeling the blast. Mike fell to his knees and toppled to the ground as Aaron stopped sending electricity. “Sorry, that seems really cheap of me to do that. I didn’t want to use my tasers unless it was a last resort.” Mike felt as though he was fighting his own body, trying to force it to move, but found that it refused to respond. The announcers began a countdown, and Mike could hear Aaron stepping ever closer until his legs from knees down crept into his vision. “It’s not… over,” Mike growled through a tightly clenched jaw, trying to move his body through sheer force of will alone. There was, however, one thing left that he could do without his muscles. The more Mike tried his hardest to move his body, the more his green energy began to emit from his limbs, the jets on his boots lighting with a subtle glow that slowly grew. “Not.. by a long shot!” In one swift motion, there was an eruption of energy from Mike’s boots, lifting his body right off the ground and shooting his leg out and planting his lightning-fast foot directly into Aaron’s stomach. The impact alone was much harder than a normal kick could, and Mike landed firmly on his feet after the strike. Yet, despite that motion, he still couldn’t move his limbs, his muscles twitching and spasming, but his body staying upright as small bursts of energy kept his stance, regardless of how much it swayed. “If you think… I’m just going to stay down like that, then you have another thing coming! I’m not quitting, and I’m not going to make it easy for you or anyone!” Aaron could feel the amount of pain through his words that it was a little too unbearable to listen, but so was the pain his stomach. With a little more speed, Aaron lunged towards Mike and swung a punch. Mike, ungracefully, moved out of the way with only getting hit in the shoulder. Using his quirk, Mike ragdolled his right arm and sent a blast at Aaron pushing him away, tearing the taser out in the process. When the momentum stopped, Aaron quickly ran back at Mike with an electrically charged fist in hopes of knocking him out the ring. As Aaron got close and swung, Mike feinted away from the attack, putting Aaron in a bad spot. Nevertheless, Aaron can catch himself in time and counter, but Mike’s jerky dodge caused both arms to point right at Aaron and sent Aaron flying. Aaron tumbled on the ground as he quickly pulled out his baton and jammed it into the ground, causing more dislocation to his shoulders. The impact was a lot harder than before, but Aaron got back up wheezing and gasping for air. Aaron looked back at Mike barely chuggin’ on, and Aaron could finish it off, however, Suna came up behind him and held Aaron back from lunging again. “Sorry kid. . . It was a good fight, but it’s over for ya.” Aaron was confused by his statement and mouthed “What?” wondering what he meant by it. Clearly, in Aaron’s point of view, he could finish of Mike right now. Mako, pointing on the ground, “Saw the tip of your shoe hit outside the ring. Rules are rules, kid. But ya both should be proud of yourselves.”
~Faytl~
Even as Akira turned his back on her, Hadley was standing, shooting up onto her feet with fire in her eyes. But she stopped there, standing stock-still, keeping her eyes locked on Akira. She turned her head as he left with Ino, never taking her absolutely hate-filled gaze from the back of his head, seething silently until he was out of sight. There was a brief moment of silence, maybe two, before she closed her eyes, letting out the breath she had been holding through her nose, scowling. "Prick," she said simply, returning to her seat, looking tired and irritated. Sayuri's question went unnoticed by her for a brief moment, but the strange cadence of her speech device pulled her back down to Earth. "Eh? Oh, I fucken' wish," she said distractedly, catching herself and glaring back at Sayuri. "Look, my Quirk isn't any of your damn business. Not why I'm here, alright?" This sucked. She hadn't meant to engage with any of the hero course members, and already she was regretting it. But they knew she was here now. Might as well sate some of their curiosity if it would get them off her back. "Support class don't work with the Hero Course," she said to Goutetsu, sounding kind of offended at the idea. "Making sheet that works with their own Quirks and makes them better heroes is their purpose... They need all the help they can get, I reckon, especially if the best ye' poor fucks have is Tomoaki" she added on, crossing her arms. "Nothing I could make for that prick would fix what a 'effin knobhead he is. What kind of bastards are runnin' this damn school that bastards like him and the peashooter get in?" She glared at Ichiro. "You're no help either," she tacked on suddenly. "I get sent out here, get assigned three Hero Course students to brainstorm on for my homework, you and Kurosawa don't even make it past round one and Otama's a braying jackass." She leaned back in her seat, fuming silently. "Figures you're just one of them jackasses that hits things... The feck I do with tha'? Whip you up a pair of these for you to shatter yer damn hands in?" she asked derisively, holding her gauntlets up in the air and waving them to and fro in a mocking fashion. "Cripes sake." Mr. Hyde
The crowd was rather upset at the outcome of the fight. The noises emanating from the stands were that of confusion, disappointment, but also understanding. "Man! I really wanted to see what that Aaron kid's upper limit was!" "No way! He totally would've lost to Mike! Did you not see what he did to Ichiro last round?!" Mako was the one to shoo the kids off of the stage rather quickly. He was bouncing with anticipation. "This next round is gonna be worth the price of admission!" The Shark Man grinned widely. "Don't worry about intros this time around Suna! These are my last two kids in this, and I'm gonna pump them up!" The intercom's in the stadium turned on again, with a harsh reverb. "Will Hiroki Goto and Valerie Clark please take the stage!" With no reply from Akira, Ino shrugged. "Well...alright. I'll be off then. Tell the other's I'll be back soon, please!" And with that, she was off to see her classmate. She made her way there rather quickly, seeing as how she had just come from the medical ward earlier that round. She looked in all of the rooms, until she heard some familiar voices, but she was stopped by another. "Ah Ino! What are you doing back here, nya~? Do you need another pokin'?!" Nurse Neko said, a claw popping from her paw rather enthusiastically. "Don't people need prescriptions for that?" "Nya!" Ino couldn't tell what the answer was...but it worried her either way. "I was coming to check up on Isami!" Nurse Neko smiled and nodded. "Next room on the right. You can't miss him~!" And with that, Nurse Neko made the rest of her rounds, waving back to Ino. Ino waved back, and entered Isami's room. She was met with another one of her classmates in the room as well. "Oh hey, Asuka! You came to check up on him too?!" She slyly crept up to Asuka's side, and nudged her arm with an elbow. "Or was I...interrupting?" She laughed, but then made her way towards Isami's bed. "You seem to be doing alright. From that last attack, I thought you were totally murderized! But here you are completely conscious." She punched the boy in the arm. "I must've gotten the wrong idea about you, cause you're pretty tough!" Gin watched intently, as the fight between the two below escalated. However, during their last exchange, the round ended with a technicality. Gin couldn't care less how the fight ended, or what the result was however...nothing was going to stop him from getting to the top. Although, Aaron being the ultimate loser in the situation made him crack a smile. "Serves you right, you wannabe." "Creepy. Creepy. Seriously Creepy." Goto rose up from beside Erika, and rolled his shoulder. Silently, he made his way towards the exit. Erika watched as he left, her eyes rather sad. "I guess if 1-B wins the whole thing, I guess It'll be worth it in the end." "Ain't happenin'." Gin growled. "Don't say that! You don't know what he's even capable of! Him and Val are pretty tough!" "Shut up. You have no idea what I'm capable of." His brows furrowed. His fight was next...and he ran the scenarios in his head. Terro was all that was on his mind right now. This fight wouldn't even be close to what came next. Goto arrived through the entrance that led to the arena. He was rather loose, flinging his arms to the side, getting them ready to sling out at any instant. Valerie would be opposite of him right about now. He would stare her down with a rather serious demeanor. Not a trace of any real emotion on his face could be seen. Mako marched his way up to the two, and hunched over in between them. "Now I want a clean and fair fight. But I also want you to blow this arena to smitherines! YA GOT THAT, SHRIMPS!?" He raised a hand in the air. "Show 'em what 1-B is made of! If you hold back, it's back to the kiddie pool for you!" His hand sliced through the air so furiously, that by the time it had stopped, the wind pressure would blow Valerie and Goto's hair with a breeze. "GET TO IT! BEGIN THE MATCH!" With the final declaration, Mako shot back to the sidelines in a blue blur. "Wasn't that a bit too much? I get that it's your last two...but we can't be playing favorites with the new hero-" "I'll play favorites as much as I want! These kids got guts! I like guts!" Suna shook his head. "Who let you become a teacher." "Shaddup and watch the fight." A bucket of popcorn was now in his hands, as he started shoveling the snack into his mouth. Suna eyed his co-worker. Mako turned towards to him to raise an eyebrow. "I like guts...and popcorn! ALRIGHT!?" Goto let a smile slip, seeing his teacher. His face snapped back to that emotionless slate, as he readied his stance. He cocked his left arm way back, turning his whole body to do so. His other hand stuck a thumb up, a kind of iron sight for the gun that was his left jab. It was a much more serious rendition of the attack that had knocked Creed out cold, and he waited for the perfect moment to strike. He wouldn't hesitate. He wouldn't hesitate. He wouldn't hesitate. Crap. He was hesitating. But now that he knew he was hesitating, he might as well stop. He shot his left leg out, and stomped on the ground, simultaneously turning his body to shoot out with his left arm. The fist flew through the air, travelling the whole distance towards Valerie. Hopefully, this would end just as quickly as his last fight.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
"HaHA, now that's what I'm talking about!" Valerie felt pumped. The fight started out somewhat lackluster but as it went on Valerie started to realize that this Mike guy might actually be fun to beat. Though he'd still have to face down Captain Sunglasses. Whoever won that fight Valerie was excited to take out. She was going at full steam as she headed for her fight. She had so much to look forward to but for now...she had to prove why she was number one of her class.------ "GET TO IT! BEGIN THE MATCH!" "You know it teach!" Valerie said, flashing him a thumbs up as he headed off. She turned to face Goto with a wild grin. She knew Goto was tough, tougher than his usual demeanor would imply, and it looked like he was prepared to give it his all. "Whoever wins this is gonna win the whole tournament, got it!?" She told Goto. Right after saying that, Goto made the first move. Good, she wouldn't settle for less. Her heat had increased in radius from the previous fight, currently spreading to cover half of the arena, and her own form would seem distorted. Only slightly but even that inch of uncertainty would make it hard to get a bead on her. And that was all she needed. She watched the fist come towards her face, slightly off target, and bent backwards and to the side to keep it from hitting her. But that wasn't enough. Goto was flexible to the extreme and she couldn't just stand around. So she did the first thing that came to mind and rushed forward as his fist flew past her. He'd be attacking again at any moment so every second counted. He wanted to end this fast, well, she could give him fast.
King K. Azo
Terro slide down against the wall, sitting on the ground as he intently watched the match happen right in front of him. He saw the way Gato stretched, the way Val dodged, the dance of Quirks and skill allowing them to have their battle. It made him think of his upcoming fight with Gin. How was he going to fight? Would he take Terro's lessons to heart, or reject them and fight his own way? Could Terro really stand against Gin after what the two of them had learned? The martial artist was quickly learning his martial arts didn't mean much when someone could just power through them or leave a hole in you... He laid his head against the wall, thinking to himself, his mind wandering to his own training... Terro rubbed his head. Fluid, huh? How could he...? He began to move his feet slightly, shifting his position. He began to move his arms, making them draw out a circle in front of him before cupping the by his side. Gathering a few of the rocks between his hands, he stared at his current teacher. The young hero-in-training then jumped into the air, thrusting his hands forwards and launching the ball of rocks at his mentor. The ball of rocks was also deflected as easy as the first rock launched. "What? You think you're just going to get me by shifting up your stance a little. Man you're just as dense as the rocks." Another lash. "I wasn't wasting my breath you know? Think, and throw. An instantaneous movement. If you can't think of a way to hit me, you aren't going to." Terro's thoughts were brought back to reality as he narrowed his eyes to focus. He needed to see how people used their quirks, to hopefully get some sort of idea of what to do. He only hoped it was enough to carry him to the end. "Support class don't work with the Hero Course," she said, her tone sounding kind of offended at the idea. What kind of bastards are runnin' this damn school that bastards like him and the peashooter get in?" Goutetsu nodded as he listened. "Ah, I see. So the Support Class is a very important division then," He smiled. "Well, then thank you for your hard work," He looked over to see where Terro was... only to see he wasn't in the audience. He sighed as placed a hand on his face. "That boy... He's so dense...," He folded his arms. "At least he's not trying to interrupt the fight to ask if he could fight them like that one time...,"
👀 REP 👀
"Of course. It's my responsibility as your classmate, especially after an attack like that. It's good to see that you're feeling okay." Isami chuckled. As he was about to say something, the doors of the room opened. "Oh hey, Asuka! You came to check up on him too?!" Ino had also visited him as she made her way towards the bed. "You seem to be doing alright. From that last attack, I thought you were totally murderized! But here you are completely conscious." Isami couldn't help but chuckled at her response, although he winced when the girl punched him. "Yeah, I thought I was a goner too, although it might be a bit before I can get off of this bed..." He sighed, although he was still smiling. "I must've gotten the wrong idea about you, cause you're pretty tough!" Isami nodded to the best of his ability. "Yeah... I did better than I thought I would!" He said enthusiastically, although he winced again as his body moved. "Next time, I'll do better..." He nodded again, this time more to himself, before looking back at Ino. "Thank you." He simply said, before letting out a yawn.
