Getting back into Yu-Gi-Oh! help

I haven't properly played Yu-Gi-Oh! for a few years now. Back in 2014 I bought the Cyber Revolution deck and used that to build an okay deck with the cards I had available. It's well balanced in that nearly every time I draw a hand at the beginning of a game, I get a good mix of monsters, spells, and traps. However, that was back in 2014 so it isn't much help against newer cards like Pendulum monsters or other new strategies which have been developed.

I'm looking to update my deck, keeping the cyber dragon theme, but adding some newer cards and removing obsolete ones. But I'm not sure where to start in looking at making a new deck. I've taken a look online, but because I've never looked properly at building a good deck, I have no idea as to what is good and what is bad. Could someone help please by sharing advice or links to websites where I can find advice and help?

As for your questions, first of all you should look up link summon and the changes to the field (I could saya a lot, though reading it up on the wiki is propably far easier for you).

As for you Cyber Dragon deck:

(i) Cyber Dragon          (ii) Cyber Dragon Drei (to go into cyber dragon nova -> infinity)            (iii) Cyber Dragon Core           (iv) Galaxy Soldier (to get out infinity faster)     (v) Instant Fusion (Norden + Drei or Rampage Dragon)

(vi) Cyber Twin Dragon (at 1, just so you can OTK with it if you have the option)                      (vii) Chimeratech Overdragon (as future fusion might be quite beneficial (and due to both Chimeratech monsters being Overload Fusion targets)                     (viii) Chimeratech Rampage Dragon             (ix)  Cyber Dragon Nova              (x) Cyber Dragon Infinity (should be obvious why)        (xi) Cyber Repair Plant          (xii) Cyber Network (if you can wait and/or have options to blow it up yourself (like Rampage Dragon))      (xiii) Soul Charge        (xiv)    Power Bond (if you want a burst playstyle, just as Cydras are designed to have)              (xv)  Overload Fusion

(xv) Future Fusion (entirely optional)          (xvi) Twin Twisters           (xvii) Maxx "C"         (xviii)   Lost Wind (as you are propably rather slow)

Thanks for the suggestions. Surprisingly, I have quite a few of these cards, and most of the ones I don't have I recognise, so it shouldn't be too hard to build something around that.

This is a great site for getting tournament-topping decklists. Search for a card like Cyber Dragon Core, or something you'd only use in a Cyber Dragon deck, then look at the most recent deck that topped using it. Use that deck as a starting point to build yours.

TCGPlayer is a pretty useful site with decklists, articles about the meta and stuff and its also the best place to buy cards as there are lots of different sellers directly competing with each other. Decklists are organised by event, so its a good way to keep up with the meta.
