The third Red Scare

In my opinion, the old Red Scares never really ended, and have persisted to this day, they just haven't been as intense. Why do you think "socialist" and "communist" have been treated as insults for so long? (Republicans demonstrated this by attacking Obama w/ those words) The new issue of Putin's playing games with other countries (and elections) is only escalating it to a point where it is a main subject in the general conversation (as it was during McCarthyism's time).

1) The moderate rebels referred to in the media are the Free Syrian Army which are NOT ISIS. They are/were based primarily in Aleppo, which is where a large portion of the fighting is going on. ISIS is stationed in Al Raqqa which is where the US has been concentrating their drone strikes, and also where another groups of Kurdish rebels have been assisting the US in defeating ISIS in that region, and have been one of our staunchest allies in the region.

2) There's no evidence that Americans are neutral on Assad. That statement is based entirely on opinion.

3) First of all if the rest of the world is on his side or neutral why would he have to worry about what he does, in that case, he has, even more, incentive to bomb the children because nobody's going to stop him. Not only that but this statement is just straight up wrong. Assad still has to deal with Turkey and the Gulf States who are not fans of his.

These are literally the ramblings of a crazy conspiracy nut.

Umm, examples please?

inb4 Mathew Shepard

no he was killed by his gay lovers pals

That's straight up false. Aaron McKinney and Russell Henderson both had girlfriends who testified at the trial. McKinney and Henderson pretended to be gay so they could rob Matthew Shepard, and McKinney's girlfriend even said that McKinney had killed Shepard because of how he felt about gay people. Matthew Shepard's murder was a straight up hate crime.

I strongly agree with this statement. Winter, check your content before you post to make sure you're posting posts that a. you have read and understand and b. speak for you, as (based of many other posts you make) I honestly don't think you're specifically the "crazy conspiracy nut" that your post makes you look like.

See this?  This is ad hominem.

A.)  Don't minimod.

B.)  Attack his post and its content, and stop derailing the argument with petty insults.  You won't get another warning.

1) http://www.mintpressnews.com/moderate-rebels-are-actually-backed-by-isis-al-qaida-former-us-ambassador-admits/213352/

" Moderate’ Rebels Are Actually Backed By ISIS & Al-Qaida, Former US Ambassador Admits ‘The Nusra Front and armed groups on the ground, some of whom are getting help from us, have coordinated in military operations against the regime,’ former Ambassador Robert Ford told a seminar audience last year."

2) Sure there is, look up opinion polls of boots on the ground in Syria. Of the candidates last year, HRC was the only one who wanted to ground Syrian planes and take out assad. Trump+Gary+Stein voters are the majority of this country

3) You're a bit slow here. The nations who wanted to oust him most and have the power to do it, all had softened on him. You don't respond to tepid tolerance by gassing children
