Judgment Day, T-800 Terminator, T-1000 Advanced Prototype

Recommended Posts

Probably the most overpowered series of cards I made so far, but I think Terminators are cool and I wanted to experiment with its theme. When one gets destroyed, another one seems to take it place. By activating the first Spell, two monsters can be summoned in series.

Name: Judgment Day

Effect: When this card is activated: Special Summon 1 "T-800 Terminator" from your hand and equip it with this card. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 "T-1000 Advanced Prototype" from your hand or Deck.

Name: T-800 Terminator

Level: 8    Attribute: Earth   Type: Machine

ATK: 2600   DEF: 2800

Effect: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned with "Judgment Day". This card is unaffected by Monster or card effects. If this card, in face-up Attack Position, is to be destroyed in battle, it is not destroyed. Instead, it is changed to face-up Defense Position. This card can only be destroyed in Defense Position.

Name: T-1000 Advanced Prototype

Level: 10   Attribute: Earth   Type: Machine

ATK: 0   DEF: 0

Effect: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned with the effect of "Judgment Day". Once per turn, toss a coin. If the result is heads, target 1 monster your opponent controls; equip that target to this card. (You can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card with this effect.) This card's ATK and DEF become equal to that equipped monster's. During your next Standby Phase, destroy the equipped monster and gain 300 LP.

Now, what do we have here? It's a weird concept, but it kind of works. I guess I'll be giving you my opinion on these cards.

Judgment Day

Yeah, this one is pretty basic, it Summons Arnie to the field for no cost at all, but only from the hand, so it's all good. I think you should remove the part where it equips itself to the Summoned T-800 and give its effect of Summoning T-1000 to T-800 himself, otherwise you could just discard or mill this card and get a free T-1000, and I'm not sure if that's what you were going for.

T-800 Terminator

Great card, it fits the Terminator well, being a doomsday machine that is hard to take down. However, being unaffected by ANY card's effects might be too over the top for a monster that can be Summoned so easily. You should make him unaffected by monster effects OR Spell/Trap effects, just one of the two, the choice is yours.

T-1000 Advanced Prototype

This one has potential, but as it is now, it's just a worse version of Relinquished. First, you should remove the coin toss, that just outright ruins the card and any chances it has to be playable. Second, make it so it cannot be destroyed by battle, it adds some flavor and a little bit of protection. Maybe you can remove the targeting as well, just so it can do the whole absorbing thing better than Relinquished.

I'd say these cards are fine, they just need some polishing and they'll be good to go.
