Atypical-Abbie
COTD-JP011 剛鬼ライジングスコーピオ Gouki Raijingu Sukoopio (Gouki Rising Scorpio)Level 5 EARTH Warrior-Type Effect MonsterATK 2300DEF 0You can only use the (2)nd effect of this card’s name once per turn.(1) If you control no monsters OR you control only “Gouki” monsters, you can Normal Summon this card without a Tribute.(2) If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can add 1 “Gouki” card from your Deck to your hand, except “Gouki Rising Scorpio”. Well, nothing too special, a higher Level monsters is nice though, and hey look a Level 5 Warrior, I am getting ideas, muhahaha. COTD-JP054 剛鬼再戦 Gouki Saisen (Gouki Rematch)Normal Spell CardYou can only activate a card with this card’s name once per turn.(1) Target 2 “Gouki” monsters in your Graveyard with different Levels; Special Summon those monsters in Defense Position. Ok wow, they are going hard with the Archetypes already, double Summon is amazing for Link Decks, Defense Position is basically pointless, but as they have 0 DEF, that's something to worry about if your opponent decides to block you off from ED summons, so be careful. Of course, you can't use this on the Links, since they are both Level-less and can't be in Defense Position, so yeah.
Darj
Haha, I joked with a friend when discussing Goukis that they should get an "Advanced Heraldry Art", meaning a Spell that revives 2 Goukis and that they can grab with their effects, and surprise! here is it xD
Blake
i mean scorpion is pretty bad because MUH NORMAL SUMMON in a deck full of cards that take normal summons... Spell is good, but it requires playing slow cards in order to get it, or playing some memey sheet that probably isn't worth it over other variants of said memey sheet. Fu Manchu
What, they have a wrestling scorpion now, too? This archetype is absolute perfection, keep 'em coming, please.
Snatch Steal
I actually wish this archetype were good in comparison to Zoodiac and Rescue Beast OTK. It seems like it would be pretty great in a slow format, which I guess Konami tried to make but ended up not making.
The Highlander
So basicly a better version of the ATK increaser ... which is not very impressive, though the floating is rather impressive (and a Mad Feast Lv 5 target). As for the spell, it is legitimately amazing, it allows the archtype to spread like a contagion, considering it is the ticket to access the link and add a (+1) to the number of floats. Tinkerer
That level 5... Is not what they needed. It's nice to see that all the monsters can float onto each other/the spell card, but aside from the Link monster, they really aren't going anywhere right now. (GigaDrillBreaker)
I mean, once you field Scorpio, it's pretty great, since using it as link material searches for rematch, which can then extend your plays further, and the level opens it up to rematch. The issue is in actually getting it there. As mentioned by others, it works off of the normal summon in an already normal summon hungry deck. Rematch can summon it, but that is a pretty undesirable amount of setup for the achieved result. If gouki get something like cyberse assistant, this gets a lot better, but even then it's pretty clunky.
