♪ ♪Aria ♪ ♪ Posted March 22, 2017 Report Share Posted March 22, 2017 Shy Guys are cute and mysterious....They hide their true faces behind a mask and talks in a strange and funny noiseSo, after a little research on the Shy Guy species, I decided to create an artwork depicting one of the main Shy, the Sergeant Guy who wields a pipe and a magic wand...photohostThe backgrounds are made on separate layers with building blocks in mind (since shy guys love toys)The color green matches up with the Sergeants schemeYour comments and suggestions would be appreciated.. What exactly did you do...?Well, to summarize, what I did was to create a custom background by removing building blocks from the center of a full building block image to make a frame like structure, then copy the background a few times, alter the sizes to make a tunnel like structure. (Into 4 different layers).Then, shifting the hue/saturation of each layer to match the green color.Apply a grainy filter to each of themImport a Sergeant Guy Artwork from Super Mario Wiki, added a stroke effect, drop shadow, and inner shadowThe finishing touch is an outer glow effectMade in Adobe Photoshop CS5.5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

♪ ♪Aria ♪ ♪ Posted March 24, 2017 Author Report Share Posted March 24, 2017 honestly stuff like this could make some really cool custom images Thank you for your motivation!Well, I intended to use this image for my "Sergeant Guy" Card and as an alternative for my profile pic on other sites/webs, since Shy Guy's are cute, mysterious, and spooky at the same time.The Shy Guy is created to stand out against the background with its thick outline and vivid glow and this is my chance to try out multiple background layering to create a tunnel like effect.
