Flash Flyer - Sakura
I want to say this is even worse than what happens to wild rhinos in Africa every year, since they're supposedly "safe" in the zoo, but both cases are equally as sickening. But yeah, unless the world can crack down harder on poaching (or really the black markets that deal with this sort of thing), this will continue to occur (both for rhinos and elephants). ~~~~
This unfortunately puts zoos in a situation where they are torn between spending on security or not. Is it worth spending for an event that might never even happen?
Resident Fascist
This unfortunately puts zoos in a situation where they are torn between spending on security or not. Is it worth spending for an event that might never even happen? Isn't the point of security to prevent such an event from happening...?
