dakln
I wonder... I have next to NO experience when it comes to coding or scripting. I started watching the video on how to write code for custom cards, and even adding something as simple as one effect is frying my brain... I wonder, though... If there was someone out there who was not only really good at coding cards but efficient at doing it too, and was able to have one on one with me during the process... Would I be able to pay someone to do the deck building for me? Like adding the cards through Sqlite and coding with Lua? Like, could I just pay someone else to do that work for me? And if so, how much would that kind of work be worth? I'd be willing to pay upwards of $40, $50, $60, perhaps even $80 for that kind of job. Flash Flyer - Sakura
SQLite stuff is easy (I wrote a tutorial for it); it's the actual code that's hard for people to grasp. As for Lua stuff, one thing I'd generally say is to "borrow" bits and pieces from the existing YGOPro stuff, and modify it to your needs. Granted, I did take C and Java for a semester for college, but admit that it is still difficult for me to code as well. ===Have you tried starting with a very simple effect, then moving on to more complex stuff?=== If you need coding help, the YGOPro Discord exists. https://discord.gg/ySStwas(This one should direct you straight to the coding channel)
dakln
Yeah, like I said, I started watching the tutorial videos, multiple different versions I might add, and none of them were ever able to explain it to me in a way that made sense. And this was in no way the fault of the people who made the video. This was simply attributed to my ABSOLUTE inexperience with coding as a whole. The discord server, however, looks like it would serve my purposes well. I'll ask around there about commissioning my deck being made, or something along those lines.
