Flame Dragon
So with the spoilers almost finished I figure instead of making a thread to cover all the stuff we missed why not have a place to collect all the cards we're most excited for. Because really, they hit it out of the park with the set. Really curious what commons and uncommons we'll have because if the rest of the set is any indication it should be just as insane. Simping For Hina
No Noble Hierarch is a bummer. First time I am excited for a set to be printed and not just a card or two. This set is balling.
Trebuchet MS
I'm not sure if I want to draft this set or just buy box/packs.
Flame Dragon
As I said we've seen little of the commons/uncommons so what limited will look like still remains to be seen. Though with signets it should be a super interesting one.
Simping For Hina
Mana fixing is pretty set with the limited, so that shouldn't be a problem. Fetchlands, signets, guild gates.
Rodrigo
I'll definitely draft Grixis with a 4th color splash. Cruel Ultimatum and Niv-Mizzet are just so good. This set is freaking amazing. It has very few misses.
Flame Dragon
And the set it live. Go take a look. http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/card-image-gallery/modern-masters-2017-edition

Delibirb
Rewind is mildly surprising. That's the best art Serum Visions has ever had. Tandem Lookout, but wrong Niv-Mizzet... Part of me wishes Tarmogoyf got new art.
bury the year
Lots to unpack here, woof. Shame that YCM was down for the majority of the past week. tl;dr - MM3 fixed most, if not all of the problems present with MM2.Already gushed a lot on Skype how the marquee rares hit it out of the park this time. The mythics are cool, yes, but now the value isn't all concentrated up there. WotC did a good job of identifying those $10+ rares that had no rights to be that much (Basilisk Collar, Venser) and throwing them in as EDH catnip. This time around, we're at least getting bulk rares that aren't feel bad. (I'm looking at you, Long-Forgotten Gohei. May you remain long forgotten.) Stuff like Hellrider and Zealous Conscripts are at least semi-playable in most environments, even if they're not gonna hold a price tag. And that's not to mention the tons of $4-5 rares that are here, which were virtually missing from MM2.And even the uncommons and commons are good! PtE, IoK, Might of Old Krosa, Serum Visions, Flickerwisp, Terminate, Spell Pierce, the signets... even if you do get a bulk rare, hopefully the other cards will be able to balance it out.Lots of new art, too. MM2 only saw five new pieces new to paper (Daybreak Coronet, Etched Champion, Pillory of the Sleepless, Shadowmage Infiltrator, Vendilion Clique). By my counts, MM3 has 17 cards with new-to-paper art, including a bunch of old favorites. And I'm sorry, Tiago, but I've always thought you looked like crap in your Snapcaster portrait. I'll take neon John Cena any day.Final topic: downshifts to common. Pauper is gonna have a field day. Augur of Bolas, Burning-Tree Emissary, Falkenrath Noble, Magma Jet and Thunderous Wrath are definitely gonna shake up a lot of maindecks. Super excited to see how the meta shifts with these changes: I'm personally brewing up a BTE/ARB-blade stompy deck.
Sixty
this set is beyond sweet. can't wait to relive random rtr/inn standard moments in limited
Flame Dragon
Anyone else find it odd the set won't be out for another week? Like we have 2 full weeks between knowing the full set and actually getting to play with it. Seems like a strange move to have that much dead time between the two. Poc
Value wise, this set is an allstar, but that has been said a million times. Gameplay wise you're still forced to draft archtypes like the other two MMA but this one doesn't feel as restricting and there is a fair bit of overlap in the colors so it gives you more room to pick. This is speaking from just doing some draft sims. I won't have a real opinion until I actually draft this set. My only gripe is that they put signets in the set. For anyone who plays cube you should know that signets are easy first picks almost all of the time and its no different in this set. Unless you have some super game ending bomb in your pack or you're money drafting you take the signet every time.

That was how it was with supplemental sets before, iirc. It was one week of spoilers and two weeks until release for MM2 and C16 as well.
Flame Dragon
That was how it was with supplemental sets before, iirc. It was one week of spoilers and two weeks until release for MM2 and C16 as well. Did not realize that. I guess with how hype the set it it's a lot more obvious now than at the various other spoiler seasons for supplemental products.
