Azuh
If you control a face-up "Gladiator Beast" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can Tribute this card to target 1 face-up "Gladiator Beast" monster you control; shuffle that target into the Deck, then Special Summon 1 "Gladiator Beast" from your Deck, and treat it as if it was Special Summoned by the effect of a "Gladiator Beast" monster. Because Rescue Cat is limited in the OCG with a new errata... means we can have a Glad Beast format amirite? Plus the new link rules should give Glads a boost, since you only need to control Gyzarus to pop anything, then return, then come back etc
evilfusion
I'm not sure how much Glads genuinely profit from Link mechanics (or specifically, how they profit from NOT suffering from Link mechanics). Their play style is still fragile and easily disrupted due to the need to battle first (and survive), and Gyzarus being their main win condition. I don't remember whether Glads ever really benefited from Xyz and Pendulums, either, so...I don't think they have the tools to make much impact right now. Seems like Cat is best for Synchros or pulling 2 Peropero for a r3nk

Tiger should still be able to activate by tributing itself then it's effect should resolve

You can resummon rabbit from grave and it's eff still won't resolve if you banish it
evilfusion
Tiger activated on the Field. Cat negated any effects that activate or apply on the Field, so Tiger will still be negated. The way Skill Drain functions is the EXCEPTION, not the rule. Most negation effects care where the card was when it ACTIVATED, not the location of the card when it resolved. ~Faytl~
Do it Konami. Make Andabatae.Even without Cat making this borked GBs might still have a presence, now the game isn't so quick anymore. Odd that I kind of want that to happen, given how much I used to hate the archetype.
Azuh
Ok well that combo was short lived haha Definitely forgot that Skill Drain is worded differently.
notcleverusername
In regards to Rescue Cat, you can combo Test Tiger with the Beast-type Glad Beasts. That being said, IIRC the Beast-type Glad Beasts are kinda awful so that's probably still bad.
