I wonder if by the time it would be destroyed by card effect, your opponent would have already Summoned link monsters outside of the extra monster zone.

This is quite strange, it boosts ATK on Link Monsters, which can be good since they seem to have low ATK for the most part, then it allows you to recycle monsters, which can be good since you may not want to use too many Link Monsters to have space for your other stuff, but then it has a negative effect that makes it both awkward to use, but also a powerful anti-ED tool. It's most likely not going to be used, but it is a unique card for them, and I wonder how this will evolve over time.

My worry is it works like a reverse vanity. Your opponent builds their board, clears yours, then pops this.

This is too passive to be used competitively IMO. Well, maybe it has a chance as a tech in Festival Spinning decks as a Field Spell to Set and then pop for its removal effect, but not sure if it would be worth it.

So tempting to try it (only as a 1-of, obviously) in my field spell deck, but damn I'm only doing it to remove my own extra deck monster. Adapting to the new rules is gonna be hard enough without having to mess around with sheet like this.

 

Shame it doesn't destroy TBH. I could use it with Yazi then at least.

This would be a good point if said ancient fairy dragon wouldn't likely be killed by this.

 

The best use for this is probably in metalfoe, zoodiac, or some other deck that can pop it reliably, just as a means of non-targeting, non-destruction removal. Of course, most things this removes die to much more convenient answers, but it is something to keep in mind going forward.

Brifu -> mill Lazuli + Galaxy Serpent, summon Seraphinite to EMZ

Eff Laz add Serpent back to hand, extra NS serpent, Synch into AFD in the EMZ.

Spinning -> give yourself Union Hangar, give your opponent this card.

Activate Hangar, search A-Assault Core

Eff AFD, Summon A from hand

Eff Hangar, equip B-Buster Drake from deck

Eff AFD, destroy Hangar + Cybenet, search your Sky Iris/Draconic Diagram of choice.

Effect of Cybenet removes AFD, clearing your EMZ

Activate Diagram, effect destroy B, search whatever

Effect B, search C-Crush Wyvern.

Nope, I could just use A+C+AFD to make a Link 3. Nevermind.

 

Doesn't change that it'd be super nice to have a Field Spell with a good float that doesn't miss the timing. Kozmos only add an extra layer of NS reliance.

this might actually be pretty decent in decks that don't rely on the extra deck or have their own field spell, the problem though, is that i cannot think of a single deck like that, that doesn't already have something that does something like this better. so yeah, the effects are not really bad at all, but they just don't mesh well with each other on a field spell. the boost is nice, and the deck return is interesting, and even the extra monster zone removal is good, but they don't really do anything for the card as a whole, other than throw it into a ton of different niches, none of which really overlap.
