JessicaMuddy
We've seen the plethora of Pokemon randomizers, as well as some Fire Emblem playthroughs, so I was thinking: And here we are! Starting today and hopefully updating daily (But probs not) is my Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade Randomizer. [spoiler=Episode List]Episode 1: Batta Beginnings (In this post)Episode 2: Everybody do the ZAP! [spoiler=Episode 1: Batta Beginnings]Note: These are the stats I'm using for the randomizer. The only thing I changed since then was changing the minimum durability to 10. We open on, well, the title screen. Since this game was the first localized Fire Emblem, it is known only as Fire Emblem. I start a new game and enter my name and month of birth, and begin. I already skipped a couple lines of text, but basically I am a tactician who comes across Lyn, our resident Lord for now. Then, suddenly! Something happens... Just from this screen, we can draw some interesting points, but I'll save them for later. Super-Lyn to the rescue! And so, alongside Lyn, we shall begin our journey! Mmm, dat blink frame doe. Now, with the battle underway, the first thing I want to do is check Lyn's stats. The sprite shows she is a mage, which is fine, but the stats are what matter. And uh... Not that great, to be perfectly honest. Unfortunately, it seems all of the points that matter instead went into the Con and Aid stats, the two worst in the game. That being said, the high skill is great, because being able to hit is important. And... is it... could it be?! A MOVEMENT STAT OF 4.Bleh. Eww. Yuck. By the by, I disabled that awful tutorial, so the game will not show it in any way. Glorious. Nevertheless, it's time to start! With Lyn being the ranged attacker that she is, I move her:Here. So that bandit isn't too close to get her. Not like she could move any further forward anyway... Before we go any further, I want to have a look at Batta the Beast's stats.Er... He's a Lord? Interesting. His stats are something, but he's only packing a Slim Sword, so it shouldn't be too bad. ZAP! A counterattack from the lonely brigand and a vulnerary later, Lyn is back up to full health and ready for the Beast Incarnate, Lord Batta. A lowly intimidation coming from a guy so high up in the royalty ranks, my liege.ZAP! Oh... He didn't fight back on his turn? I didn't get a pick, but since this is a seize boss, he doesn't move from where his royal tooshie is seated. Another ZAP to Batta and:Ded. Not only that, but this too! Growths are randomized too, so I hope I don't get too screwed over by them. Time to see!Nothing too special, but health and magic are always welcome. Anywho, time to seize the day and get outta here! And that is just what I do. Oh! A night passed. Alrighty.Um, that's sudden. Maybe you should ask for permission from your-^^ How I feel reading all that. ^^Disappointing that they didn't even make a crying sprite for her. She seems very nonchalant in saying all of this. And, ladies and gentleman, that's that! Let me just save:And we're done. Thanks all for reading, I hope you all enjoyed, and continue to stay and read future episodes! I've got a feeling the next stage is gonna be fun.
Maeriberii Haan
Good luck on your run! I swear though, FE randomizer should have an option to give at least 20% STR/MAG growth to characters, otherwise it's easy to get unplayable files. Hopefully your Lyn doesn't end up being terrible! Hopefully your Lyn doesn't end up being terrible!Thank you! I actually did have a seperate file that I started, but that quickly got Game Over'd due to Lyn's attack only having 2 durability.I'm excited to see what Sain and Kent will be like. JessicaMuddy
Here we go, Episode 2!Sorry for the lateness, I was busy last night getting stuffed like a turkey on thanksgiving at my grandmother's house. PS: There were gifs but they weren't working so I deleted them ;( [spoiler=Episode 2: Everybody do the ZAP]Picking up where we left off, Lyn and I are going to get supplies for our journey. What our journey is? Who knows... Wait, I'm an apprentice now? Last chapter said I had experience in war. Alrighty then, let's get into it! [spoiler=The Cutscene in the beginning is too long]Fair enough th- I'll let this part play out by itself. INSERT REST OF CONVO HERE aH! kENT, MY BOON COMPANIONExpositional way to learn their names. Dat blink frame doe.DAT BLINK FRAME DOE. also Sain with the cockblock. Well alrighty then. The two men are out for Lyn. And they're coming for her already!Eww. What a creeper. Sain the hero? I don't know about this.Or Kent the hero?Who's the wingman here?!Also, dat blink frame doe.Hey, they're finally throwing the reigns over to me :DFINALLY. Let's get into this! God damn, son. This cutscene could have been an episode in and of itself. tl;dr Lyn goes to a town, meets Sain and Kent, calls them a******s, gets surrounded, then gets help from Sain and Kent. Sain asks to attack first, but we'll have to check his and Kent's stats first before we make a judgement.Kent is... A mage too! Alright then. At least his stats are far better than Lyn's. Good defenses and skill is nice. And fire as the weapon of choice is fine. Weaker, but more accurate than Lyn's. And Sain is a Thief. That's fine, and the huge speed and luck are great. His only problem is the tiny Defense. And a longsword and lockpicks are great. So I move Sain to the enemy, and... huh? I guess not. Apparently the opponent's speed is more than 5 higher than Sain's, which doesn't seem right, seeing as his is 9. Ah well, I'll move Kent in instead. Looks good.FWOOSH.Now let's move Lyn in to finish him off.ZAP! Looking good. Both gain a small amount of experience, but nothing special. I move Sain forward and my turn ends, allowing the enemy to move towards me too, though this turn the enemy stays in place. Before we go on, let's check the boss' stats. Meh, nothing special. Just a cavalier. With that out of the way, let's continue.FWOOSH!Unfortunately, Kent doesn't get the kill, but...Lyn does. And as seen here, the big bois move closer to me on my turn.I move Sain away, due to his fragility, then attack the guy with Kent. It only does a bit of damage. On his turn, the first boi attacks Kent, doing minimal damage.Kent tries to fight back, but misses. So, I send Lyn in, but she doesn't finish him either! Then, a spark of brilliance occurs. I send Sain in to nab that experience.Ohh, it's risky. If this misses the hit he will almost certainly die. Let's go! It's a hit! Sain take out the enemy and gets and even 40 experience points. Pretty nifty. I move Kent up to take the next hit. Even though he's a mage, he's still fairly tanky.FWOOSH! He strikes back. Then, on my turn, I attack once more with Kent, and then take the risk again with Sain. Another hit! Noice. I just have Lyn wait to end her turn. My favourite thing about the bosses in this game is that they don't pursue you, so you can take your time with them.Additionally, if they don't have a ranged weapon, they don't fight back, as seen with Lord Batta. Kent's a bit low, so I use a vulnerary, but looking back on it, I really didn't need to. Fast-forward to when everyone's move up to the boss, and Lyn is attacking.Blah blah blah. You're the one who's getting involved in Lyn's business. ZAP.And we'll finish him of with a FWOOSH! And would you look at that. Kent gets a Level Up!Not too shabby. Health is always good, especially with the tank of the party. Now, to cut down on time, I'm going to give a short description of what happens. Kent and Sain are looking for Lyn, because she is the heir to the Lycian throne. The people that attacked her were her great-uncle's henchmen, because he wants to take the throne, but Lyn is stopping him. So, she decides to go to Lycia to see her grandfather, the current ruler on Lycia. And so that's that! Chapter 2 is done.Once more, thanks for watching! LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
For the record the reason Sain is being doubled is he has low Con and Longswords are heavy. He has 1 Con, 9 Speed, the weapon is 11 Weight. So his speed is basically 0 while using that weapon. I didn't actually know that. Thanks! We will soon find out that Sain is going to end up being fairly useless, since the chance of having another sword is fairly low, and the durability of the longsword isn't great. JessicaMuddy
I'm having trouble continuing this one since I have my own separate personal file, and the random chaacters are so much better.I'll get something out sometime though. I may or may not be stuck on Dorcas' level.
