Darj
Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying KingAttribute: LIGHTType: Wyrm/EffectLevel: 8ATK: 2950DEF: 2950You can also Tribute Continuous Spell/Trap Cards to Tribute Summon (but not Set) this card. Unaffected by effects of cards of the same type (Monster, Spell, or Trap) Tributed for its Tribute Summon. Once per turn, during either player's turn, if this card was Tribute Summoned: You can banish 1 Continuous Spell/Trap Card from your Graveyard, then target 1 other card on the field; destroy it. I want to discuss about this sweet boss that is taking OCG by storm. When I first saw it I mainly commented on how it followed the "maindeck boss" formula of previous times, with an inherent summoning condition and a "banish X from grave; pop a card" effect, but never imagined it would have the impact it had and has in the OCG meta. It looks simple at first, but then one realizes the things it has going for it: Immunity to 2 of 3 card types, solid stats, can be Tributed without requiring 2 monsters on the field, the archetype Continuous Spell/Traps let you drop is as an extra Normal/Tribute Summon, and what I personally find as the most appealing application, it, along True Draco Field Spell, makes some Continuous Spell/Traps float, while being more convenient than, let's say, Sky Iris. It's this last perk what makes me want to try a True Draco engine in decks with such floating Spell/Traps. For example, in Metalfoes where they can grab "Metalfoes Combination" and then Tribute it with this card to get the search. It could also work in casual Naturia Traptrix decks by making the Tree float and grab Cherries to make Naturia Beast or something. Heck, I have even thought in concocting a Frog/Aqua Deck that makes use of the Aquarium Spells to revive a Level2 Aqua and then go for Toadally. I mean, you can at least revive the same Level2 Aqua you Tributed for Master Peace, while giving it the Monster+Spell immunity; even Different Dimension Trench can work there as an awkward revival card in such deck by popping it with the True Draco Field xD
·Toot
So if I'm reading this correctly, you can tribute 2 monsters OR 1 Spell or traps? Giving it a nice bit of protection from a few sack happies and those who like to use a ton of s*** the first turn. Heh. Or am I reading this incorrectly and you can only tribute the monsters, OR the spell or traps?
The Warden
You tribute 2 of any combination of monsters, continuous traps, or continuous spells to summon it.
