Shradow
After over a decade since it began development, the game is finally out. It's like an awesome mix of Soulsborne, Ninja Gaiden, and Onimusha. Follow the protagonist William (based on real-life western samurai William Adams) as he fights yokai and searches for his enemies. Mr. Hyde
Heard it's reaaaaaaaaaaally repetitive...but it looks fun. I'm debating whether to buy it or not at the moment.
Shradow
Heard it's reaaaaaaaaaaally repetitive In what sense? I've neither heard that from others nor felt that in my own playthrough.
Mr. Hyde
Well I've been watching a streamer do the same exact moves, fighting the same exact enemies, in different locales. It just seems repetitive in style. I heard that it's also a menu navigation simulator xD
Shradow
I mean, you can do the same moves if you want to, but that'd be like spamming the same combo repeatedly in a fighting game. There are 5 weapon types each with 3 different stances which each have quick/heavy attacks, as well as various skills that you can combo. There's also ninja/magical tools along with ranged weapons, so you can make it as simple or varied as you want. The enemy types aren't the most varied, but not terribly lacking, and any kinds that wield weapons come in different varieties using different weapons so their combat is very different. I personally don't see it as any more or less varied than any other RPG. The menus are pretty normal, I'd say. There's just a lot of options with gear and stuff since things drop in a Diablo-like manner. The game isn't open world, it's mission-based, so you have to select where you go, and beyond that it's just standard things like item storage, shopping, etc.
