For yugioh fanfics: what is the 'preferred' way to show the text of created cards?

For example you could click on the card's name to see an image. What do people tend to do?

When I did a re-write of GX a while back (which dealt with customs), I generally displayed the cards' effects in a spoiler at the end of a chapter.

In a fanfic, I generally prefer not necessarily having the cards visible, their effects being relayed only by the dialogue. Makes it more like the show and helps to build suspense in dire situations/against big antagonists' boss monsters and such.

I tend to do the same as Gn. Heinous. But I also like to include a mini-card like this:

DEF: ####

 

Kind of like in the anime, so the reader knows the simple stuff.

In the past, I just left the cards in spoiler tags with their pics/stats (think somewhere in the middle of chapter or at the end). Otherwise, linking to YCM Wikia or wherever you posted the cards in question generally works (though it'd require the reader to be checking two places at once, yes).
