Aerion Brightflame Posted January 23, 2017 Report Share Posted January 23, 2017 Why isn't this idea of 'patriotism day' covered by the Fourth of July anyway? That seems like a more suitable day to celebrate patriotism to America than a random day in January that just so happened to be the day of his inaguration. Like jesus christ could that be any less subtle? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Flash Flyer - Sakura Posted January 23, 2017 Report Share Posted January 23, 2017 Yeah, we already have the 4th of July to deal with patriotism. (Well, basically to celebrate the country's founding and independence from Britain) Not sure why Trump made this holiday right on the day he takes office; probably to signify that his arrival into office is the beginning of a total reformation in how the country will function (day that the people supposedly will take back control over the country rather than the elite in D.C. making decisions; saying "supposedly" because he just came into power and we don't know if his policies will actually do that.) ====I really don't know about this. It's another holiday that we can use for vacation or something (at the expense of another day I could be doing classwork and stuff), but I don't see why this one needed to be added. Delibirb Posted January 23, 2017 Report Share Posted January 23, 2017 Isn't there a patriot's day? Maybe that's in my imagination... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~~ Posted January 23, 2017 Report Share Posted January 23, 2017 Don't worry people. He proclaims January 20, 2017, as National Day of Patriotic Devotion, not any other January 20. I love how he goes on for four paragraphs of bumf before saying 'therefore' as if he had made some sort of logical deduction. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
