Lost World
Spell Field
(1) Non-Dinosaur-Type monsters on the field loses (5?)00 ATK and DEF.
(2) Once per turn, if a Dinosaur-Type monster is Normal or Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 “Jurassic Token” (Dinosaur-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) to your opponent’s field in Defense Position.
(3) If your opponent controls a Token, they cannot target monsters on the field with card effects, except Tokens.
(4) Once per turn, if a Normal Monster(s) on the field would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can destroy the same number of Dinosaur-Type monsters from your hand or Deck instead.

I find this card so weird. Now it makes Dinosaurs deal with Tokens, and the second effect is such an evil thing. Then the last effect involves specifically Normal Monsters, which should apply to the Tokens sure, but still, it could have applied on Dinosaurs instead, and lets you destroy stuff like Babycerasaurus & Petiranodon straight from the Deck.

i think that might have been too much

i was hoping for like a same name thing for the anime version of Jurassic World

Yeah, I later realized this could work along Rescue Rabbit. Still, I found out of place how the effect, and the new Trap Card Survival Line for that matter, apply on Normals since Dinos as a type that barely involved Normal Monsters, except with the aforementioned Rescue Rabbit, but that was more Rabbit taking advantage of the Dinos, not the other way around; and with this card they want to use both Normal Monsters & Tokens. It's as if Konami was acknowledging or giving a nod to Dino Rabbit.

Actually, a surprising amount of Dinosaurs in the game are really old shitty Normals. There's really not many dinos worth using (or really many at all) once you remove Jurrac, Evol, and Normals that really do nothing for the type specifically.

Structure Deck R's usually have 6 new cards, iirc but I'm personally hoping this one has a bit more specifically due to how sparse the monster pool is.

That (3) effect is both amusing and really mean.

I wanna abuse it.

This + Mithra the Thunder Vassal? "Free" tribute fodder + interfering with the opponent's targets.

This + Ojama Trio? Mass interference.

This + Seed of Flame? If you can proc it, it can loop with Lonefire + interfere with the opponent's targets.

end careers cause you rang up ya boi ORIHULK SMASH in some memey Metalfoes hybrid, the dinos will thank you for recruiting such a powerful ally

admittedly having 3 metalfoes monsters is pretty steep (oviraptor can be used to search scales reducing the cost from 4 metals to 3)

Guys. This makes Jurracs more playable, and it gives them easier access to their boss monster Jurrac Meteor, since you can pop Babycerasaurus to save the token, and Special Summon Jurrac Guaiba for Guaiba to attack into the token for a kill and a Special Summon of another Jurrac. Not to mention the attack decrease of non-Dino's further compliments Jurracs beatdown-to-swarm style. Basically this is a something Jurracs needed.

  • 2 weeks later...

I can't help but feel dissapointed when I look at this. The lack of "This card's name is always treated as Jurassic World" is just downright sad, and makes the card a lot worse.

It even has Destroyersaurus in the art!!!!!

I would agree with you there, it would have been very synergistic if it had "This card is also treated as Jurassic World," honestly it would not be broken if it had that. The meta would be still above that... poor dinos.
