Toadally Bahamut plaaaaysss- *shot*

Yeah, I agree with Black. And AFAIK 5 isn't a scale Pals really need, nor a quite outstanding scale overall. Also I find this card kind of out of place since out of nowhere Pals get a Dragon, with effects that only deals with Dragons, despite it and Metal Claw being the only Dragon Pals. I guess flavor-wise it's intended to support the Odd-Eyes Dragons? Regardless, the card should have a bit of splashability potential in Dragon Pendulum decks.

Pendulum effect should have been quick, and should have been able to target your opponent's Dragons

Pendulum Effects are Spell effects. They aren't fast effects by convention.

(To have a Spell effect that activates outside of your Main Phase, it would have to be activated when you activate a Quick-Play Spell Card, be a triggered effect, or be Rainbow Ruins'.)

But I take your point that it should have been able to be used more freely.

i bet I can find one, surely

EDIT: By 'triggered' effect, do you mean trigger effect?

EDIT2: Welp, you're right

ok, you meant Trigger-like then

That's a term from the wiki. It's appropriate for use, plus the wiki needs something to call those types of effects, especially for the purposes of assembling information, but it's not an official term, and I generally don't use it.

A triggered effect is an effect that triggers. This includes what the wiki describes as Trigger-like Effects.

It's not necessary to rely on terms like "Ignition-like Effect", "Quick-like Effect", or "Trigger-like Effect" to describe certain types of activated Spell/Trap effects when you're just talking about the game and not organising a database of information like the wiki does.

  • Ignition-like Effects are just activated Spell effects that don't trigger.
  • Quick-like Effects of Spell Cards generally don't exist.
  • The Trigger-like Effects of Spell Cards are just Spell effects that trigger.
  • Ignition-like Effects of Trap Cards don't exist.
  • Quick-like Effects are just activated Trap effects that don't trigger.
  • The Trigger-like Effects of Trap Cards are just Trap effects that trigger.

The Trigger-like Effects of Trap Cards are still fast effects, like Quick-like Effects, which can be confusing more than anything considering they're supposedly the parallel to Trigger Effects, yet are a different Spell Speed from them as well as the Trigger-like Effects of Spell Cards, neither of which are fast effects. I feel it's better to not distinguish these types of effects to this extent—there are activated Trap effects, which are fast effects, and some trigger while others don't. That's all there is to it. (To add on, there are activated Spell effects, which are Spell Speed 1 effects, except those that activate when you activate a Quick-Play Spell Card, and some trigger while others don't. Then there are activated monster effects, which can be Ignition Effects, Quick Effects, or Trigger Effects.)

It's fine to use the wiki terms though. They can be useful, plus they can be shorter to type. It's just they aren't a necessity. Nor are they perfect. (Although they can also be longer to type. Also note that you will probably never find yourself having to call certain Spell/Trap effects "effects that don't trigger" and such. Generally, one refers to monster effects, Spell effects, and Trap effects, and sometimes they will specify triggered effects. It all depends on the context, of course.)
