Astro Dude
This has always been bugging me for some time now. You know how back when the Yu-gi-oh card game came out that the cards with Green Frames were called Magic Cards? Why did they, all of a sudden, turn them into Spell Cards? Let me know. J-Max
Because of a well know Card Game Magic: The Gathering. It was thought most people would get confused if they heard "Magic Card" So Spell cards were the new name. Also I believe it may have been a Copyright Issue. The Slime Lord
~ Moved to TCG ~ Anyway, like Spirit of D.M.G said, it most likely has to do with Magic: The Gathering.
Astro Dude
Well that would explain it. It might take a while to get used to. Also, I guess I'll have to post this thread in the right section.
pizzaman
It's even more confusing for people who play both OCG and TCG, since they are still called "magic cards" here.
Exiro
I also believe it's because of Magic: The Gathering. And Spell Card sounds better :P
Astro Dude
Ahh I see. If you were to call it a Magic card, people would think you'd be playing Magic: The Gathering. Thanks.
