"Place this card beneath"? Isn't the wording supposed to be "attach this card to that monster as Xyz Material"?

 

Real solid alternative to Blaze Falcon. Blaze is great for if you want to go wide with your kills, but this is great if the thing giving you trouble is ONE guy. Ooh, and it hits Normal Summoned mons, too. The fact that it gets you back a Strix with a material (or other Raptors, depending on how late in the game you are) just makes this a real nice Raptors option.

So finally an alright R5 RR (I do not count Blaze as alright).

It is surprisingly solid and similar to arsenal can play around with ultimate falcon, reviving it.

All in all a solid card and a good reason to play Raid Force.

So it's got a decent effect destruction effect, AND it basically recycles another xyz monster, complete with overlay unit? Nice.

This is just amazing in general. It's a Rank 5, making it an alternative to Blaze Falcon. It's easier to Summon, only needing 2 Level 5s, but really, you're going to Summon this via RUM.

 

If it has an Xyz as Material, it blasts something and burns, with no restriction on whether you can attack afterwards, and it has 2000 ATK.

 

And if it dies, you revive an RR Xyz and make this a Material. It's just GOOD.

summon mimicry and any other lv4 raptor and this is live immediately. it doesn't replace blaze, since blaze not only has direct attacking abilities, but field wipes as well, but i can finally drop the number of blaze in my ED from the ever present 3 to a more reasonable 1. R5 is just too important in the ED to not have new options into, and this beautiful bird just made it easier than ever. it removed the glaring weakness of RRs that was basically the fact that the only R5 monster was often either overkill or extremely underwhelming whenever you bring it out. 

 

summon force strix, detach material, search bird, (if detached material was mimicr, search and activate/set either readiness or call, depending on what you think you'll need more) rank up into this, use effect to blow up a monster, crash this into literally anything, if it loses or draws the fight, summon strix back from grave, attach this, detach this, search again, do whatever. it's a new combo piece, and thankfully, it's a great addition to the group.

 

now if only konami increased the ED size to make RR feel less... cramped.
