Pendulum Scale: 0

Pendulum Effect:


(1) If you control “Supreme King Dragon Zarc”, you take no damage.

(2) Once per turn, if there is a “Supreme King Gate Infinity” in your other Pendulum Zone: You can destroy 2 cards in your Pendulum Zones, and if you do, add 1 “Polymerization” Spell Card or “Fusion” Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.

 

Monster Effect:


(1) Once per turn: You can target 1 other face-up card you control; destroy both this card and that card, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type Fusion Monster or Dragon-Type Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck, but its ATK and DEF each become 0, its effects are negated, also it cannot be used as a Material for a Synchro or Xyz Summon.

(2) If this card in your Monster Zone is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can place this card in your Pendulum Zone.

What the hell is this trying to do...?

 

So if you control Zarc and Infinity, you take no damage, and Infinity replenishes your LP. And if you have Infinity, you can pop these cards to search a Poly/Fusion card. That...feels ludicrously pointless. I suppose the idea is that you Pendulum Summon stuff, then fuse with said stuff.

 

But as a monster, it can pop itself and something else to Summon a Dragon Synchro or Fusion, but with 0 stats and negated effect, and it can only be used as Fusion Material. And then becomes a Scale. I see that the Gates are meant to combo with each other majorly by bringing out some of Zarc's investment, become Scales, and then search Poly or similar to fuse for Zarc.

 

I also realize now that these are meant to be Pendulum Summoned, then have them kill themselves and a Scale to SS the Dragon, replace the Scale, etc.

Wow. Its scale of 0 is enough for me to like this card already: it makes Pendulum summoning Level1s a possibility; Pendulum Summon Trump Witch, anyone? It's cool to see scale 0 becoming an official thing. Scale 13 is a thing as well, but I'm not as excited about it. Then the Pendulum effect is great, too: it can pick Instant Fusion, Brilliant Fusion, Miracle Fusion & variants, good stuff. Also it comes with a searcher already in Darkvrm, that's so nice.

As for the monster effect... It can put Zarc on the field, of course, but I really cannot think of other applications with those heavy restrictions on the summoned monster; well, I guess you could pick Samsara Dragon for its floating effect, but it would be such a passive play. Black Brutdrago can float too, if you somehow manage to splash this in a Gemini deck xD

It's trying to be a generic 0 scale

Everything else honestly just additional bonus TBH

Fusion Spell searching very good if you can get it, not reliable turn 1 as far as I'm aware
