Passionate Duelists

Continuous Spell

When a monster you control declares an attack: You can target 1 Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls; negate the attack, and if you do, destroy that card. Each player can only Set 1 Spell/Trap Card per turn, also monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck cannot attack during the turn they are Special Summoned. During your Draw Phase, instead of conducting your normal draw: You can add 1 monster from your Graveyard to your hand.

Passionate Floodgate

Activate only while you control 3 or more Set Spell/Trap cards and a disruptive boss monster. Pseudo-Denko your opponent and shut down UTL from beating the crap out of your boss. Next turn, get a more consistent normal draw that allows you to focus on those disruptive bosses rather than risk drawing into the backrow which you have nerfed for both players.

wtf lawl

So basically, set the ED back to the time of Battle City where fusions can't attack the turn they were summoned without the Quick Attack spell card. This card is certainly... interesting.

This,

also Both players can only set 1 S/T per turn = Manga Battle City

I really really like this. The first effect makes it so weaker monsters can still advance the game state even when they can't destroy something in battle and thematically, I believe it's a reference to Duelist Kingdom moments like Yugi attacking the moon. As stated, the set one spell/trap is a Battle City rule in the manga and the Extra Deck summon sickness is as well. The last effect I feel is meant to replicate the "destiny draw" moments during climatic duels. Being able to recycle hand traps could come in very useful. This entire card essentially a tribute to the early era of the series while still functionally a useful card in the modern era. Fantastic flavor.

Since this is named after one of the most famous pieces of music in the franchise, I wonder if we'll get God's Anger as an Egyptian God support...it's certainly possible.

This is actually kind of cool, when I think about it. It's an ANTI-Floodgate.

You can essentially MST your opponent's S/Ts by negating your own attacks. So if your opponent is using some form of SS lockdown, you can NS anything, declare an attack, negate the attack, and zap the floodgate. Both players are restricted to only Setting 1 S/T a turn, so they're not going to be able to just keep setting more dangerous floodgates and countermeasures. It slows down the Extra Deck spam strategies by a turn, which would be important for this card to function properly, due to how you most likely are Summoning no-significance monsters, and your opponent probably is able to drop Synchros, Fusion, Xyz, or Pendulums with their floodgates normally sealing you from advancing your game state.

And the "trade a draw for choice monster in Grave" is an interesting addition.

Literally, the card to me looks like an anti-Floodgate tech or side card.
