Ryusei the Morning Star
Level 6 WATER Sea Serpent-Type Synchro Effect MonsterATK 2300DEF 1400Synchro Materials: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersYou can only use the effect of “Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier” once per turn.(1) You can discard to the Graveyard any number of cards, then target that many cards your opponent controls; return them to the hand No banned Synchros in OCG anymore
BlackBeartic
Seems fair enough. I'm heavily assuming Mermail are about to love this.

I'm heavily assuming Mermail are about to love this.tbh, any deck that can make Level 6 Synchros will love this. ofc, Merlantians can trigger a funk ton off effects off this, but at least it has to target cards your opponent controls, so this is unusable going first. Sleepy
I would have rather they made it a single discard OPT... I loved the option of recycling my Fiendish Chains and Call of the Haunted back in the day. They kind of took away a lot of the incentive to Synchro into it. It is still a good effect, and I can think of decks that will love it like Atlanteans, Mermails, and Fableds.... but, but my extra choices =(
evilfusion
Okay, so hard OPT clause, can only target opponent stuff. Eh, fine by me.
Progenitor
Eh, may have been a slight overnerf. While I totally understand the fears of pseudo-Dewloran level loops that sets up simultaneously, the Hard OPT already invalidates that use to an extent. I probably would have said a Hard OPT would have been enough, and still allow it to target everything, but w/e I suppose it's still fine. Now if only we can get Infernity Archfiend above 1 that deck may be somewhat playable again :FeelsBadMan:
~British Soul~
I think we were all expecting a hard OPT clause on it, but I didn't expect it to only be able to target opponent's stuff now.I'm fine with this. (Though I would've also been fine with a material change, like Goyo got)
evilfusion
I actually expected a Material change, and I saw this topic before Goyo's. I was convinced it would require either a Water Tuner or Water non-Tuner. How ironic that they decided to arbitrarily restrict what Decks can run Goyo, but Brio not so much. Βyakuya
Seems like a very good errata tbh. Hard OPT and targeting only opponent's card was what it should been instead of an FTK engine/recycler/major nuisance. It gives decks that can make this a good edge against the metagame and I'm sure things like Zodiacs, Eidolons, Metalfoes and others might not care too much. The Nyx Avatar
Now this seems like a subtle errata to bring back a banned Synchro monster (as opposed to Goyo Guardian's). A strict "once per turn" clause. Perhaps we might be able to use this card in the future. I'd want to use it (even if it's effect's been nerfed).
