dartz10
Dartz10's Weekly Discussions: Today's Topic: The Pixar Theory Hello everyone! last week there was some great in depth discussion about the possibilities of time travel. Building off of this I want to introduce The Pixar Theory. We all probably have fond memories of watching Disney movies as a kid, a few, maybe more recent, probably stand out such as Toy Story, and A Bug's Life. Now there is this theory that all the Pixar movies are connected. This is a very vague description, but don't worry, all will be explained soon. First please read the following. Disclaimer: Please keep in mind that this theory only applies to movies that are created at the Pixar Animation Studios, there are many other animated movies that came out of other animation companies such as DreamWorks and Sony. (Also, there will be major spoilers today so if you haven't at least seen the majority of the Pixar movies you should not be here. go watch more Pixar and come back later) Ok, just had to put that out there so that there wouldn't be a lot of comments about other movies. Anyway, head to this website now to read the full theory, I would explain it here but it's explained much better here: pixartheory.com Please note: I did not create this site and all copyrighted works belong to their owners. So now that you have read the theory let me add a few things. First off, the website does not include Inside Out, or The Good Dinosaur. As explained by the SuperCarlinBrothers (search their youtube channel to find out even more Pixar theory related stuff.) The good dinosaur would be the first in the timeline. now in The Good dinosaur we see a scene where a huge asteroid hurtling toward earth, misses. This was the would be apocalyptic sized object that would have wiped out the dinosaurs. This is the clue that tells us why the Pixar timeline is different from our timeline, the dinosaurs were alive for longer. As for Inside Out, it reveals the reason that humans act as a sort of power source to toys, monsters and machines. The little emotions in our heads generate energy. we see from Monsters Inc. that the happy, or joyful emotion generates the greatest amount of power (in most people anyway). Also it is most likely that Inside Out takes place some time close to Toy Story 3. So post your comments about what you thought about The Pixar Theory. If you notice any gaping holes please share. But again, the main goal of these posts is to spark discussion and build the community
Delibirb
SuperCarlinBrothers also made a theory about how the main character in Inside Out is hinted as having a sixth emotion, not present in the other people we see, that has yet to reveal itself. I theorize that this is the Super Emotion, which gives people superpowers. Since her parents don't have it, but we know that superpowers are genetic from the Incredibles, that would imply that Riley's powers are/will be a mutation; she'd be one of the first supers, or the first to appear following Syndrome's genocide. There's not any real basis for why I think it's the Super Emotion specifically, but it's a thought. Perhaps we'll see in Incredibles 2. Anyway, I love the Pixar theory. It's a neat way to look at their world and acknowledge the references from film to film. Whether or not this was intended from the beginning, I don't think it's out of the question that Pixar is dropping clues for theorists to find to support the idea. dartz10
That's a neat theory. I really hope that some of the upcoming pixar movies will reveal more and help patch some of the more major holes in the pixar theory.
dartz10
So now that i've thought about it, your Idea makes a ton of sense. There was a vid. that was either by SuperCarlinBrothers or Seamus Gorman, and it basically stated that it was the government that gave the supers their powers. so this must mean that this other emotion is possible in all of us, and the government found a way to activate it.
