If a thread was locked unjustly, report it.

However, as I recall, your thread lacked content for around a month, which makes the lock correct.

Moderators have responded to you about this before. Even if you have been working on a thread for 37 years and have 500 cards in it or whatever, the rules still apply.

(Just for the record, I did get the other PM, but didn't reply to it because I had other things to deal with offline [personal things, pre-finals work])

I already replied, but yeah, it was locked because of the creator bump rule; while you do have two months to bump it, that is under the condition that you actually make changes (not just announce that you do). Otherwise, the default 2 week thing applies, which was the case here. Nai told you about this last time this got locked (and was on a technicality). In this case, I even wrote out why it got locked.

The creator bump rule has been in place since I took modship (or at the minimum, start of 2015), so it is not something that just came up.

----

But even if you had added new content when you bumped it (and thus I would've kept the thread open), do recall that your thread has the equivalent of a year's worth of booster sets in the OP. No one here is going to take the time to actually look over that many cards at once; or at least those who do not have an extraordinary amount of patience and time to do so.

There is also the issue with the amount of new mechanics that you have in there that correlate to the DBZ verse; at this point, it is essentially trying to learn a new game. Couple that with having a custom banlist because certain cards are too powerful, and that adds more reason not to look at the cards.

(You should not design things with the intent of BEING on the banlist from day 1, regardless if it's a custom one or the Konami based one, whenever it changes. It's your job to balance out the cards, so they don't warrant a list position or enable some unfair combinations with other cards.)

If you had less cards in there, mechanics and otherwise better design (keeping the cards great flavor-wise, but not intentionally making them broken), then MAYBE you'd get more replies.

-----

You are free to remake the thread though, but considering the size and other factors, don't expect too many people to critique or give it a look. (This is why the recommended number for sets is usually 15-20/25; number can change a bit, but definitely not something in the 100s.)

[Trying to get the data from that thread and PM it so you can just c/p as opposed to write the whole thing over, but there is a ton of content]

---------

A reminder that you are not required to review all cards in a set at once (or at all); rather, you may take a small chunk of cards that you feel like grading and just do those first, then come back later if time permits. The AC is for you to actually get proper critique instead of "10/10 comments".

Thanks. If I was forced to have it locked no matter what, I'd like to at least be able to copy and paste the entire thread. Going one card at a time would be horrendous again.

I plan to put things in spoiler tabs more, and put up a note to go straight to the cards before reading the custom rules.

About the ban list. That's only official play. Just like Advanced and Traditional formats for the original Yugioh card game.

I have a large group of players and friends that have printed out and tested my custom cards and we have a great time adjusting the rules and such.

It's still my dream to at least have trail decks officially printed at some point.

I know how many copyright issues must be addressed first, but when the money is gathered by my crew, we plan to slowly work our way up. Even if it takes longer than the planned 8-12 years. XD
