Welp, it seemed to make as much sense to read summaries of the game's events as to read a manga that emulates them in a way that evidently doesn't do justice to the source content. :S

If you ever get your own computer, you should still read the visual novel. The answers to the mystery are only a small part of the whole reward of reading Umineko, which is more of a Schopenhauer/eastern philosophy piece than an actual manga. Not to mention reading a summary of James Joyce's Ulysses will not get you any of the true reward of reading it, which is the allusions, symbolism, overall meaning, look into the author's mind, linguistic genius and artistic enjoyment.

I would still push it.

Hope to be able to play it sooner than later. :D Could be a while though.

Ah yes, Ulysses. I was made to read it for school, I liked the Irishry of it (being a McShane) and various format switches, but there were points where I couldn't help feel Joyce was a full-of-himself literary masturbator who was desecrating Homer's Odyssey, the Fagles translation of which is my favourite thing I've ever read. I did go on to grapple with the first bits of Finnegans Wake, couldn't say I understood much of it and eventually dropped it but for a while it was lots of fun and made me laugh.

Alright!

Golden Sneer: A pleasant enough piano-harpsichord-strings arrangement, though I grew up hearing too much Bach to afford it too much deference. The 498-0 Youtube like ratio is pretty impressive.

Sarah Jaffe's Clementine: A nice raspy country lament, I don't get to hear a lot of country up here and she's a good sample. Here's hoping she gets over her indifference and finds another 50 boys. :P

Haven't seen Blake's 7 yet but looked a bit into it and it seems like a cool old-school sci-fi British thing. The Prisoner was another cool show in that type of vein.
