Hello everybody. I could use some help.

Question

I've actually had this account for years now and I was about to make my first post. It was going to be a bunch of custom cards that I've made based on the legend of Beowulf. However, when I tried to post it , I got this message: You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community.

What' going on?

You'll want to make sure you're using the right URL. This is a very common problem with newer members for some reason, so here's what you may be doing wrong and how to fix it. It's a common mishap for people to use the url of the Imgur page an image is on instead of the actual image. For the purpose of this explanation, I'll be using an image I pulled from my RP gallery. The page and image URLs are as follows.

http://imgur.com/0SJRuxz

http://i.imgur.com/0SJRuxz.jpg

Note that the image's URL starts with "i.imgur.com" instead of "imgur.com", and ends in a file extension for an image (.jpg in this case, but you might have .png instead). If I try to use the page's URL for an image code, I'll receive the error you're having. Using the image's, however, gives me this.

0SJRuxz.jpg

So in short, just double-check that you're using the image's location; not the location of the imgur page it happens to be on.
