Blake
"Man, why did I have to draw this?" This card has seriously devalued with time. With Penguin, I felt like it was weakened, because you wanted to fit more power cards in/didn't need as many copies/penguin sped you the funk up, alongside Wings. With the new spell revealed, it just feels... Honestly, kidna bad? you still run it, for sure, because it's a powerful option to go into Tiger or Wolf with, but... That's the issue: Tiger or Wolf. Edge Imp Sabres is, realistically, a 1-2 of, leaning to 1. You only really need the 1, and any more is a bit of a dead draw. Not the worst, but not the greatest. You don't WANT to give up your only Sabres, though, so doing so is in desperation. Then there's King of the Swamp, which... was devalued a lot by the new Spell, yeah. It competes for the same slots as the spell, and just feels in the way. It doesn't advance your game like Chain or a Fluffal, it only searches a highly searchable card. tl;dr"tfw this is the best card i can discard for penguin"
Darj
I find intriguing that you think this of a searchable, archetype Miracle Fusion; it means Fluffals have much better plays than a 1-card Frightur Summon. I don't know much about Fluffals, especially with the new cards, so I can't tell which exactly those plays are.
玄魔の王
Funny how in-theme Miracle Fusion is now inferior to generic Poly.
Blake
Funny how in-theme Miracle Fusion is now inferior to generic Poly.I mean, if nothing else, Fluffal has the qualification of "best Polymerization deck". Bringerofcake
It's a finisher card, nothing more. when you're building up your otk, you want to keep the flow going, but this doesn't extend anything, so it's mostly reserved as a finisher. If you're running FBoB, you can also mill it for Factory, which actually DOES extend your plays.
evilfusion
It has gotten weaker in a sense, and that's because the most recent Fluffal support has given them what the Deck really needs - something to USE their vast supply of resources for, as well as a means to accelerate those plays without playing the grind game. Prior to the newer stuff, Fluffals suffered from having all their Fusions require a specific Edge Imp, and only Sabres was searchable among them. This was often relieved a bit using King of the Swamp, which comboed extremely well with this. Ditch for Poly, Des-Toy Fusion into whatever you want. And the Deck's trump cards of Sabre Tooth and Mad Chimera (laugh track) don't really WANT to be Summoned with this. Actually, it's awesome how Fluffals prefer Polymerization, probably one of the reasons I love the Deck so much. But then Frightfur Kraken came around, and now this is still relatively strong, but regular Poly is still more flexible. You have Sabres and Wings? Go into Tiger. Go into Wolf...for whatever reason. Or go into Kraken. Chain + Fluffal = Sheep or Kraken + search. And since Penguin and Octo want to be sent to the GRAVEYARD as Fusion Material for their best effects...fusing with Poly is better than fusing with this. That makes this card a combo finisher, not a play enabler. It used to be a card to justify the resources spent for the more basic Fusion plays, but now Polymerization plays can combo to ridiculous extents and isn't such a huge resource investment. I'd still run 2 or 3 of them for sure, because it still is a flexible power play that's searchable, but there are plenty of times when I end up with 2 of these in hand, and happily discard one of them to enable Factory's cost, or Penguin, or whatever, because I don't NEED to play it. I have enough cards in hand to have other Fusion options and other combo extending pieces. And Octo, when fused with Poly/Factory, can recover Wings or the Materials from a previous Fusion Summon using this, but that means you still can't just throw this out recklessly without a means to use Octo afterwards.
