Card checking! Kingdom Hearts Cards!

Hey guys!

Kookypie here, first and foremost, I'd like to say hello! Secondly, I am in the process of making some cards for my friend that loves Yu-Gi-Oh! and loves Kingdom Hearts more, so i'd thought it to be a cool idea to make him a deck of Kingdom Hearts based cards for X-mas! Since he is an avid Yu-Gi-Oh! player, I thought it would be best to make the cards balanced and somewhat playable.

So, without further ado, here are the cards! These are a couple, however, I don't know how to go forward making the rest of the deck balanced, so any suggestion and criticism is welcome!

Thanks in advance!

riku:

Basically a stronger searcher; but if he's special summoned he can't use his second effect., which helps for synchro summoning another card currently in the works.

Another reason that I blocked him from instantly letting him summon monsters is because I want the archetype to revolve around the keyblades, while not giving it the extreme consistancy that it already has.

Keyblade - Oblivion:

This equip can make a permanent boost of 500 ATK, even if he's removed. Also, he can be banished for a search of a kairi or Sora monster. This card is possibly the most broken of all, since he can send himself, give the monster attached to him a permanent boost, and get more searches.

Keyblade - Oathkeeper:

an equip with a twist, this card can give a whopping boost when a monster is attacking only, and when it hits the grave, you can either mill 3 for a chance at hitting the spells or you can get a search out.

Kairi:

Being the only tuner, which kinda says where the deck is heading, also works as a searcher. she also works as good protection, being able to bounce out Keyblade equips and bring out another or even change the target of the Keyblade, like a spell card based U.A in the TCG.

Sora:

The main monster in the deck, he can directly come equipped with a Keyblade equip spell. Not only that, he gains a small boost when he's equipped with one. Lastly, he has a slowed down version of Kairi's effect, where you can switch out the spell he's equipped with.

Lasly, we have Keyblade - Kingdom Key

This equip I wanted to be the most versatile, what with not only giving the monster attached at 500 ATK boostm but giving it two similar effects, one like the TCG's Dark Magical circle, where you can see what cards yo get and even get a potential card from it, and when it hits the grave it gets the Burial from a different dimmension effect, but with a small twist. You can banish it, and target up to three Keyblade spells (like BFDM) and send them back and get a draw out.

This is probably the most consistent deck I will be building so far, hence why I wanna check the balance out, lol. Don't wanna make it TOO meta, am I right?

If I missed anything, please point it out.

Hope to see suggestions all around!   :444817_key:

Nice! I'm a big fan of kingdom hearts myself you know. Okay, let's go over these.

Riku: So basically, one of his effects is summoning either Sora or Kairi, but you have to negate their effects to do so? Riku, why you so difficult? Seriously though, this could be somewhat usefull if played right.

Keyblade - Oblivion: Okay, I'll agree with you, this card is somewhat broken, but it is pretty understandable considering the item this card is based on.

Keyblade - Oathkeeper: Nice boost, but basically, it's a slightly modified Oblivion.

Kairi: So not only can you immediately summon Sora, but once per turn you can immediately take and equip any equip spell from your Deck to a monster? I would abuse the hell out of this card.

Sora: Extra boost and getting rid of an annoying enemy spells, nice.

Keyblade - Kingdom Key: Okay, overall, the Keyblade mechanic is kind of crazy, but I can easily see myself using one of these, I abuse Equip cards to the max. Anyway, the Kingdom Key has to be the easiest way to recycle and abuse these cards even more, which is to my advantage.

Overall these cards center entirely around equip cards, my favorite cards. However I can't help but want some Organizations XIII monsters as well.

Either way, keep up the good work!

Thanks for responding so quickly!

I might have to reword Kairi so that her effect is only once per turn, she does sound a bit broken now that I think about it lol!

Organization XIII eh? I might consider that, although I am making roxas a ritual card, by form of banishing Keyblade - Oblivion and Keyblade - Oathkeeper from the hand, field, or graveyard, and he'll definitely come with a cool effect that is not at all broken haha!

Thank you for helping me out!

Sweet! It would be cool to see Donald and Goofy as well. And with fusions of Valor, Wisdom, Master, Dark and Final forms would be super epic. Sora+Goofy=Valor, Sora+Donald=Wisdom, Sora+Goofy+Donald=Master, Dark, Final. Though for the last one, a specific card is needed to summon them. As Mochi said, I can see myself using these cards as well.
