Because we can do this.

Today, YCM is in a good place. Our community, while small and slow, is active and thriving, and many sections are in good quality. This doesn't mean it's a perfect forum, though. In fact, there are still some ways the forum can improve. That is what I wish to focus on as Candidate for President of YCM, and as President of YCM if elected.

My stance on policies:

[spoiler=YCM Community and Hostility]
Everyone in the YCM community has a responsibility to be a good member, whether by conteibuting to the site, putting effort into their posts (given it's not a non-[serious] non-[ycm presidential election] misc thread), or otherwise. I am willing to brainstorm with YCM members both inside and outside the moderator team on how to make the community better, and how to provide incentives for each YCMer to do their part.

[spoiler=YCM Site-wide Activity]
I am willing to work with moderators to help provide incentives for more users of the cardmaker to join the forum, and incentives to make new members active members of the site (at least for a while). However, these incentives should not force members to follow them, nor should they punish members for not doing them all (unless they break the rules and such action is neccesary.)

[spoiler=YCM Moderation and their Applications]
I am an advocate for moderators being responsible for their actions and powers -- mods are not gods, nor are they dictators. I am still working out how this is to be enforced.
