I could no longer wait! I welcome you all to join me on a fantastic journey of experimentation and tribulation.

What is a Pokemon Draft Tournament?
The general concept is intended to be a twist on Pokemon team building, inspired by Magic: the Gathering's draft format. Each player will create a set of Pokemon based on the guidelines set forth for the tournament, and these Pokemon will be randomly shuffled into packs that the participants will take turns selecting from. The idea is to produce a unique meta-game where you do not know your team beforehand, and the process of building your team is a competition within itself.

Okay, you have me interested. How does it work?
We will have a double elimination tournament with a minimum of 4 players, including myself. Each participant who enters will submit 10 Pokemon that adhere to the guidelines I will list below. These submitted Pokemon will be randomly shuffled into packs of 10 Pokemon. Each pack will be opened one at a time, and the participants will take turns selecting one Pokemon from each pack (it will happen twice per pack so each member gets 2 pokemon per pack) that will go in their team (two Pokemon from each pack will be discarded). Once the drafting is complete players will have 8 Pokemon from which they can choose 6 to use and 2 to bench. The benched Pokemon can be switched in and out of the team between matches.

Each participant will submit 4 Pokemon from the OU tier and 6 Pokemon from the UU tier (as defined by Smogon X/Y tiers). Each submitted Pokemon must be in the proper text format for Showdown as well as an image you'd like me to use for the drafting of our teams.
