Hello,

 

My username is Alspencer121793 however you can call me Alex for short. I am new to the forum however I have been a fan of Yugioh for years. I hope despite my inexperience in creating cards that I will be able to be a productive member of the community.

Welcome aboard Alex. I'm Yui also a new member who is most certainly not Yui, and unless you find yourself wandering into RP someday, you probably won't see that much of me.

 

Before you go any further, make sure you've read up on the site rules, as well as the rules for any section you plan to visit often. Site rules might be undergoing some revisions soon, but if they do, you'll see a thread about it in News I'm sure. Speaking of news, don't mind any talk about the Halloween Masquerade you'll probably hear people talking about. We basically had a big Halloween event and you registered just in time to miss it. Don't worry though. As for the rules, they're mostly common sense stuff like "don't post porn", "if somebody tells you to stop, stop", etc. Still, some reading never hurt anybody.

 

So yeah, be good, don't make an ass of yourself, and most importantly, have fun during your stay on YCM! Any questions you've got can be directed to a site moderator (you can identify them by bolded names in the "online users" panel at the bottom of the forum's main page, or by the "Staff" banner under their avatar where I have my Abyssal Fleet banner) or simply to a more experienced member. I'm Sakura, the current lead mod of Custom Cards (or the one you'll see most often if you venture in there). You don't have to be an expert at cardmaking to come, but please note that Advanced is built on more intricate design and playability (in short, you should have the cards designed to compete in the power creep, which is admittedly high lately, and have some reasoning for designing stuff). Casual is more lenient on this, but you'll still be graded on general design. Just make sure you read both of the rules threads in there; they are mostly similar, yes, but there are some differences between them. (Mostly the part about the Advanced Clause where "design notes" need to be written and so on)

 

But yeah, Yui already said the rest; just read the rules and you should be fine.
