NatashasLover Posted November 6, 2016 Report Share Posted November 6, 2016 Hi I have created a strategy but i am not sure if it works on. I have on the field: Cyber tutu + Princess cologne, the princess is equipped with ring of magnetism. Cyber tutu: If the ATK of each monster your opponent controls is higher than the ATK of this card, this card can attack your opponent directly. Princess: When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can target 1 "Box of Friends" in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target. If you control another monster, your opponent cannot target this card with cards, effects, or for attacks. If a face-up Normal Monster(s) you control is destroyed by battleor by card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 Normal Monster from your Deck or Graveyard in face-up Defense Position. Ring: You can only equip this card to a monster on your side of the field. Decrease the ATK and DEF of a monster equipped with this card by 500 points. In addition, all the monsters on your opponent's side of the field can only attack the monster equipped with this card, if they attack. The question is: With that combo, can the opponent attack? The Highlander Posted November 6, 2016 Report Share Posted November 6, 2016 He cannot, due to the fact that he cannot meet both conditions at the same time. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~~ Posted November 6, 2016 Report Share Posted November 6, 2016 But they can remove the equip spell and then attack. It's a bad combo, even though it does work. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sleepy Posted November 7, 2016 Report Share Posted November 7, 2016 If you have the card "Raregold Armor", that is the same as "Ring of Magnetism" but without making it lose ATK.So yeah, not only does the combo work but it also has more than one card that can make it work. There are several combos that can just troll at an old school casual level and prevent the opponent from having a normal battle. Back when I was in high school, a couple of my friends liked trying "Astral Barrier" (Continuous Trap that can turn any attack into a direct attack) with "Spirit Barrier" (Continuous Trap that says you can't take battle damage while you have monsters on board), which would make all attacks into direct attacks with no damage.Such combos are weak to S/T removal, and even back in the day people ran their Heavy Storm cards and other staples that ruined the party xD If I remember correctly, "Staunch Defender" was ruled so that if your monster that you targeted with it were to leave the field, the opponent still can't attack others that weren't the one that's gone, so I guess it's a 1 turn thing.... Pretty much "Threatening Roar" is better, but still had to mention it. "Seal of Orichalcos" or "Pixie Ring" (look them up) when all your monsters are 2 or more Attack Position monsters with equal ATK points also makes your opponent unable to attack. The Spell Card "Gravekeeper's Servant" plus anything that'd banish the "sent" card also makes an attack lock. You know, combos with cards like "Macro Cosmos", "Masked HERO Dark Law", etc. Nowadays I've seen "Psy-Frame Omega" with a Trap whose name I forgot.... Pretty much the same result but less fragile than any of the above, although still stoppable in a number of ways (how common those might be is another matter). There's a bunch of things like that..... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
NatashasLover Posted November 7, 2016 Author Report Share Posted November 7, 2016 But they can remove the equip spell and then attack. It's a bad combo, even though it does work.Thank you, don't worry I use "spatial collapse" to block their field and attack with tutu, the tactic is risky but effectiveThank you to all the users! Your help has been so useful Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
vla1ne Posted November 7, 2016 Report Share Posted November 7, 2016 might i suggest switching your strategy to using frogs? dupe frog does the cologne trick already,but is by far easier to summon and unifrog does exactly what tutu does, but has the added bonus of popping backrow if you have another frog out, thereby making your combo twofold effective. throw in a wetlands and that's 1600 damage minimum per turn with effective attack restriction and a stronger theme (via an abundance of water and aqua support). raregold armor, as stated above, would also solidify your combo.
