I just wanna know how the hell you think PG is better than this when PG needs to be TSed before it can do anything relevant.

While this provides recovery and more synchro options and doesn't get outclassed by Terrortop in what it wants to do.

But Butterfly and Passinglider aren't in competition. They work together to make a full scale, although Butterfly is definitely pulling most of the weight.

I wouldn't call Passinglider's Tribute effect relevant, considering we already have Yoyo. What Level 4s are you summoning with Passinglider that are so good?

I'll grant that you can summon a Level 3 Tuner to instantly Synchro 8, which can be nice considering how good Omega is.

Pendulum Summoning Fast Dragon is irrelevant, as it puts itself into the pendulum scale when it dies, where it can re-summon itself anyway.

 

tl;dr good card, supporting wrong deck at this time. It has vast potential though. Will depend on how many other Speedroid pendulums we get.

Just for record there is virtually no point putting Fast Wing in scale most the time TBH outside of Meteorburst given that it's a bad scale and the conditions for "re-summoning" itself are literally the same as just Synchro Summoning anything

 

Card itself pretty neat TBH not sure why all the dunking is going on

Speedroids like grave setup and banish recovery and card has both so uh

Triggers GUSTO GRIF so that's pretty cute meem but best to treat card as Power Spell rather than something you'd actually try to Pend Summon with most the time IMO

 

As a monster is compatible with DOOP so that's another cute meem, although I just remembered that xenophobia means you can't make Glyongandr with it

 

Really hate the xenophobia like I always do but at least scale-wise it's not really relevant if you treat it as "Discard 1 WIND to recover 1 banished WIND" with utility with Meteorburst

Let me start by stating that you're almost completely wrong here.

Now let me back this statement up.

 

Passinglider can only Summon Level 4 or lower Speedroids, so it can't summon another copy of itself. With this in mind, you're going to have to find some other method of fielding the other Level 5 machine if you want that sweet sweet CDI. However, Speedroids already can make CDI without Passinglider.

1. Have Red-Eyed Dice in grave and Terrortop in hand. ok, ok I'll grant you can do loads of amazing things with this setup, but the point stands.
2. SS Terrortop
3. Activate Terrortop's effect
4. Opponent chains Compulse, targeting Terrortop
5. Resolve Terrortop, searching Double Yoyo
6. SS Terrortop again
7. NS Yoyo, effect targeting Red-Eyed Dice.
8. Red Dice summon. Use its effect to make Terrrrortop Level 5
9. This is a +1 CDI (assuming you used Musashi or have a banished Speedroid for Chanbara to grab back whenever it gets detached) that requires Terrortop in hand and Red-Eyed in grave and uses your Normal Summon. Can you do better using Passinglider?

 

Now, let's address the idea of Passinglider being good in the Pendulum Zone. It's not. You don't get to make it

because it can be a minimum of 1 (still not allowing you to Pend summon Red Eye) and a maximum of 6. Woooooo!

 

Much worse it basically requires that you discard send to grave (relevant because it means you can't use a Butterfly on field), should you wish to Pendulum Shokan your best monsters, the Level 3s. I'd rather put Kirin in the scale.

 

Metalfoes just get a scale 1. They don't have to work for it. They also get a constructive (destructive, geddit) Pendulum effect, unlike Passinglider.

 

My apologies for the errant tone in my last post, Speedroid. I was just salivating over the prospect of the Infinity having a new avenue-one I wasn't sure had its day in the sun. And I do consider the fact of dropping a Domino Butterfly can be brought back with Den Den Daiko Duke...but thatn involves you using it for that, which is suboptimal. Domino Butterfly is good though. 

 

Also, not sure Kirin as a scale is so kosher an idea. A couple months ago, yeah. At one, when his monster effect does so much more now in Speedroids? Nah. 

 

And I'm not surprised the Normal Pendulum archetype got baller Scales and effects-had that chestnut roll around with Ignknights and Draconia (to lesser extents, but point still stands.)

I was kinda joking about using Kirin in the scale. I was saying that I'd rather waste Kirin by using it as a scale than have to discard a monster that I could be Pendulum Summoning. But that's not strictly true tbh.
