And if I don't defend my candidate, y'all come in with hit pieces and call him buzzwords

If I do defend him, I'm jabroniing about my sob story

If I don't do anything I'm a crazy conspiracy anarchist

So tell me, what do you want me to do?

I just figured most of y'all aren't gonna listen to me, and that I was doing more harm than good

It's fine to defend him.  You've done well with that and plenty of good points have been made.  But the whole "Clinton will destroy the country" is the exact same bogus bullshit as saying Trump will destroy the country.  Stop being passive aggressive and overly sarcastic if you want us to take you seriously.

I hope I don't overstep my bounds but I have a suggestion.

If debating it and people disagreeing about Trump is bothering you, take a step away from the political debate stuff on YCM.

It's not people "not listening to you" it's them disagreeing. That's a key difference many people miss. Honestly I don't see people saying things to you that you don't say back. Not even in a negative meaning, it's just how things work when people disagree on things.

But doing these sorta sarcastic/passive aggressive posts are not helping anyone, and they don't add to the discussion.

No, it's all good. It's not productive for me or anyone else to be P/A and sarcastic. I guess something just cracked today. But I'll try to be better in the future. I do appreciate disagreement. Most of y'all have been great. I was more so talking about the country as a whole. Rather than YCM

Everyone, what do you interpret as the implications of both plans? Discuss.

Since my last post seems to get no feedback, here's another one. Not neccesarily about the presidential candidates but more about our political lack of progress/getting anything done in Congress; http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-political-process-isnt-rigged-it-has-much-bigger-problems/

Thoughts?

"And those earning more than $1 million a year would be subject to a minimum 30 percent tax rate"

"Would increase the estate tax to 45 percent from 40 percent and apply it to more estates, starting with those worth $3.5 million ($7 million for married couples)"

Well Clinton just funked my family

TRUMP: Wants to make all child care costs tax-deductible. Would allow the deduction to apply to Social Security and Medicare taxes to benefit lower-income earners who pay little or no income tax. Current law allows parents to deduct up to $6,000 in child care expenses.

Good

SOCIAL SECURITY TRUMP: Would allow taxpayers to deduct child care costs from Social Security and Medicare taxes.

CLINTON: Says she will ask the wealthiest to “contribute more” to Social Security, by raising the cap on income currently subject to Social Security taxes, but has not released any details.

Most of what Hillary wants would be terrible for my family. And I already gave my thoughts on why SSE can work..so yeah

FBI investigation into Clinton Foundation is underway

and perjury charges are being drafted I hear

So your family is worth 3.5m or more, and they're funked how exactly?

Well, there's people like Clinton and Trump, or even just millionaires, who make 7-9 figs a year easy. My parents both spent nearly 2 decades in college, mom makes low range 6, and dad can go from unemployed to 7 depending on the year. The best my dad ever made was a low 8 in the Reagan years before I was born. But yeh, when they kick it, out net worth will be over 3.5 mill. And suddenly we're lumped in with Soros types and gutted.

Yes, my parents are bastards, but I was moreso just looking at it from which candidate would be best for my little brother

I realize how "let them eat cake" this sounds, esp after you recounted the story about Baton Rouge to me today. But yeh

You're being "gutted" by 5% tax?  Damn, that's rough.  That's what, 75gs or so?  My old man makes that in a year.  My mom makes less than that.  And they've both spent upwards of ten years in college.  But I hope everything works out for you.  Sho 'nuff, I think ya'll might be alright.

75G more, but that's on top of the 30% already there

Tell me this, how does Hillary's plan help people like your parents? Cause I didn't see any tax drops for them

We'd be gutted by the estate tax more than anything. Pay tax during life, and pay tax again for committing the crime of dying

CLINTON: Would increase the estate tax to 45 percent from 40 percent and apply it to more estates, starting with those worth $3.5 million ($7 million for married couples).

It doesn't.  And, surprise surprise, Trump doesn't help us either.  Since when do the rich give a funk about anyone outside of their squad?

That's not true. If they're married, and I'm giving your dad 70k, and your mom 50k

Under Trump's plan you would owe the IRS: $9,000.00

Under the current tax code you owe the IRS: $21,588.00

Under Trumps plan you would save: $12,588.00 or 58.31%

Would you like me to find 10 Clinton supporters who are willing to be the same level of retarded?

You called me out on posting something similar about Clinton people being ignorant of what their candidate said. why is this suddenly a big deal?

Also find me Trump supporters who want Gay people stoned publicly. Cause that's the sorta cancer we don't want here

I know 10 Clinton supporters on my friends list who are equally funking stupid.  You ain't gotta find em for me.  But if it would please you and lift your spirits to trash someone else, funking go for it.

I hate both these bastards.  So stop acting like Trump is the Holy Grail.  I'm not gonna sit here and argue with you because suddenly you're caught in your feelings over political satire, when this whole God damn election is a joke.  Get over it.  And don't start being self righteous with me either.  Cuz I call out these Clinton jockey riding idiots just as much.  You're not special.

Hillary Clinton's top aide Huma Abedin worked at a radical Muslim publication that opposed women's rights and blamed the US for 9/11, it has been revealed. Abedin, who could become the future White House chief of staff if Hillary wins the election, was assistant editor of the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs until as late as 2008

This is sketch imo.  But I can understand questioning her.  If her husband is radicalized, she will be too.

But then again, you'll have people saying "what about how X was radicalized on the right wing".  This is gonna be more mud tbh.

Get Rek't

But Powell, who had said last week in a statement that he had no recollection of the conversation, told Page Six at Saturday’s Apollo in the Hamptons event, “The truth is she was using it (her personal email) for a year before I sent her a memo telling her what I did [during my term as Secretary of State].

“Her people have been trying to pin it on me.”

In fairness if we start throwing dirt about the associations and views of Hilary and Trumps cabinet and advisers there's not really anything conclusive end. Both sides are sheet in those regards.

But really the election is just choosing which of two pieces of sheet unworthy of the office gets a chance to do damage. It's an election that makes you miss Nixon doesn't it?

Trump doesn't call his advisors his second children. Huma had no authorization to get those emails. And she's way too close to Hillary who can help put into action some of the stuff she wrote about

It's like the Republicans vs the Saudis on gays. One doesn't want to bake you a cake, the other will bake you in a cake

As if Hilary could introduce Saudi esque anti gay laws in the US. Or even close to it - she would have to go right of the tea party to do it, and that's not in party interests. The worst she does is just repeal any changes Obama made at a federal level - aka the Republican option.

The friend seeing the emails isn't shock since its the emails. If she violated national security then showing a friend isn't that much of a shock. Her friend having terrorist connections is potentially worrying but it is possible to be friends with terrible people without sharing said views or being influenced by them. It's like saying Hilary shares Trumps policies because they went to each others weddings.

It's like the Trump KKK stuff - assuming that a connection to a given extreme viewpoint means sharing said viewpoint. With Hilary the connection is stronger, with Trump the actual viewpoint was more believable. Both are presumably equally bollocks.

There's just no point going for the route of mudslinging - you point out a fringe link for Hilary, I point out Mike Pence. Someone makes a loose Trump one, point out DWS.

It's just a pointless dick measuring contest to say 'my candidate is less of a terrible option'
